Ordered on the app and the barman disagreed that we had ordered 3 (it was £25! A bit steep if it was for one drink) had to go to speak to him and the assistant manager and prove I had ordered 3 by showing them the order on my phone as they were insisting it was 1. Had to wait a fair while for the 2 to come and there wasn’t even an apology. And the password. I can’t remember all that for a pub I visit rarely. Took ages for the password reset. Almost left without ordering You don’t need all this info. Just a phone number. All we wanted was two lattes but we had to order online when the coffee service counter was just 6 metres away. It was such a phaff. Then when we had paid online the response was that our order would take 25mins to arrive. It was a real struggle to read anything due to dark text on dark background in bright sunshine. Eventually I completed the order but when trying to pay the system simply wouldn’t move on from the ‘sign in’ button. I tried 6 times !!! We had to go inside and order verbally in the end. Staff not very welcoming. Large room with king size bed, bath and separate shower, even a rubber duck! You only get one chance to make a first impression and The White Hart smashed it. Food was excellent and the staff were so attentive and friendly. Liked it so much stayed another night. I wanted more but thought it was rude to order two. Nice selection of soft drinks including a cherry and plum one. All I could think of was someone eating plums and all the juice running down their chin, it made me feel a little sick so I ordered a ginger beer.
