### 2/5 — Not user friendly

*2026-08-18, version 2.1.207*

I’ve had a hard time saving information into “lifestyle” and other categories. It’s so confusing

### 4/5 — Works Great, new bug annoying

*2026-07-31*

I have been using this app for well over a year with my Personal Trainer. The last update it asked to verify my age, and ever since that update a white screen flashes up every time I come in and out of the app. It’s not terrible, but it is annoying. Other than that this app has been awesome.

### 4/5 — AI bot to write programs?

*2026-07-13*

Overall myself and my clients like the experience on Coachrx. The little details show the thought that’s gone into it.
My complaint is that there is an AI bot that will write your clients programs. This is so disappointing, so misleading and honestly just a joke. If you are unable to write programming for your clients then you shouldn’t be accepting their money. It creates doubt in the coach-client relationship. If I was a client, I would be disappointed to know that my coach *could* be using AI to write my program. I think you should get rid of this feature because by using it you aren’t supporting real coaches who have earned their expertise

### 4/5 — Good app

*2026-05-25*

Overall, works well. Needs to show the metrics from the previous workout when you open your daily Rx - that would save time from going back into your history to copy/paste going forward. Maybe add data sites for weight/reps instead of just a text box for notes

### 4/5 — Request: client content download

*2026-03-25*

New request: client downloadable content with exercise, dates, and all client entered notes for each exercise. Can you create an easy download function for clients to grab all our data? I’d like to analyze faster than swapping across screens and dates and individual exercises.

Previous review from 2025: Love the new visuals that just came out and the swipe ability across exercises during a workout. However now when looking at exercise history you can’t see the past exercises via search, instead it defaults to search by number of rounds and you have to scroll to find the specific exercise. I have a lot of assigned workouts with “5 rounds” and that makes it hard to look at the previous week easily for a specific exercise.

Please bring back search function, or even better, make it possible to search by individual exercise terms by default

**Developer response:** The search function is coming in an update very soon.

### 2/5 — Dommage pas d’usage hors ligne

*2025-12-10, version 2.1.166*

Pas super pratique dans des salles avec peu de réseau. La sauvegarde de l’entraînement échoue souvent et on perds les notes.

### 2/5 — Insane backup sizes

*2025-12-09, version 2.1.166*

The app is mostly functional and fine however I just checked and it is the source of 19.17GB of iCloud backup. Why on earth is that the case? There is no reason for it to eat so much backup space.

Hire better devs

### 3/5 — Needs a fix

*2025-11-16, version 2.1.154*

You have to add a feature to upload multiple videos at once. The app is fine, but this missing feature makes it infuriating to use

### 3/5 — Good app, but doesn’t support HealthKit “fully”

*2025-11-05*

I’m using this app because my trainer uses it. So I’m evaluating it as an end-user, not a subscriber - he’s the one paying for the app, I’m the one using it.

Overall it suits me quite well. My coach sets up a schedule with various exercises each day. I log my results, which he can see of course. I can easily look at my past results for each specific app so I can see, for example, if I’m at a point where I can bump the resistance up and how much. From that standpoint it’s doing a fine job.

Where the app falls short, is no HealthKit integration. Like so many, I use Apple Watch to monitor my activity & historical results. But, I have to open Workouts FIRST - start a “Functional Strength Training - Open” or “Indoor Walk - Open” or “Indoor Cycle - Open” or whatever matches the assigned workout - THEN I can open CoachRX and go through that interface. Cumbersome & unnecessary.

If the coaching app were MY decision - I’d keep looking on this basis. I have no idea how CoachRX’s reporting to the coach differs from other apps - but from the standpoint of the person BEING coached, there’s a big missed opportunity.

Edit Nov 2025: CoachRX now “sort of” supports HealthKit - it’ll READ data from it. But not write. The “benefit” here is that you can share Health data with your coach… sleep, nutrition, heart rate, etc. But what it DOESN’T do, is sync your workouts to Health. Very unfortunate.

There are plenty of apps that WILL sync data to health, and I’m going to have to switch to one of those. Hevy is the one I’m evaluating at the moment. There’s a subscription fee, but it’s worth it to avoid all the complexity at the gym.

### 2/5 — APPLE PAY

*2025-09-11*

Nowadays a platform like this would not accept Apple Pay is to lose sales all people pay via Apple Pay my customers want to pay via Apple Pay and does not have this option in Coach Rx even if the strepe support Coach Rx does not give this possibility so you have to close and look for another platform

### 3/5 — Not bad. Needs some tweaks

*2025-08-15, version 2.1.111*

Just getting started with this, after years of TrueCoach use. Some advantages vs. TC, but definitely needs a record feature in the app. More to follow…

### 4/5 — Almost perfect!

*2025-08-14, version 2.1.111*

Could be a lot better if it did not store locally the videos. Maybe add a feature to delete local storage? I have to remove the app from time to time to save some space on my phone…

### 2/5 — No chat

*2025-06-17, version 2.1.71*

Suddenly I was no longer able to use the chat function to write. Would only receive messages

### 3/5 — Good app, but doesn’t support HealthKit

*2025-06-16*

### 3/5 — Mostly ok, cant edit comments on SE

*2025-04-14, version 2.1.54*

Would love not to be punished for keeping my old phone

### 4/5 — Works great - one annoying bug

*2024-12-09*

Hi developers, thank you for this app.

One things that consistently bugs me that is probably a quick fix - if the keyboard is open and I tap “demo video” the video UI comes up BEHIND the keyboard. This happens to me like 6 times every work out at least.

Ideally you slide the keyboard down when the video pops up but alternatively you can just pop the video UI over the keyboard, it’s clunky but it’s a faster fix.

Thanks!!

### 1/5 — So bad and refused to refund

*2026-07-08, version 2.1.205*

App is so bad and not intuitive. Bad UI, bad customer service. Refused to refund after trial even though I canceled the day of the charge. Terrible app terrible service…

### 1/5 — Glitches and no fixes

*2026-07-03*

This app glitches allllllll the time. Sometimes they fix it and the patch lasts for a little while, then just reappears. Most of the time, they don’t fix it and ignore the feedback.

It also frequently crashes and it won’t load. They blame my internet, but all my other apps work!
Super frustrating to use on the client end because we’re stuck with it as long as our coach is using it.
Using the app when it works is good, but it’s nothing special or different than true coach.

### 1/5 — Notes section on lifestyle

*2026-02-24*

This is poor design. The save button should be at the top of the screen. You cannot access it on the bottom of the page because of the keyboard opening automatically when you select the note area. It does not let you close the keyboard to select save. Maybe even scrolling up would fix the issue. But notes section does not work for me.

### 1/5 — Bugs

*2025-09-11, version 2.1.126*

Great app… until the finish workout button disappeared with the latest update. This seems very sloppy coding…?!??

### 1/5 — Not what I expected.

*2024-09-24, version 2.1.1*

I paid over 250 for the program, not being able to have access to it after the program is done is kind of ridiculous. Also..the coaching was mediocre. Didn’t get much feedback after submitting weekly check ins and was just overall very disappointed with the app.

### 1/5 — Thx for the new update. It sucks.

*2024-01-31, version 2.0.39*

Thanks for the new update. My gym uses this app through the personal trainers and they issue their workouts through it. For the client portion, like me, that has to use the app, it’s terrible and the update made it even worse. I literally copy and paste my workouts into a different app that works that has more meaningful tracking. Now I can’t even copy and paste with the new update. I have to screenshot the workout, navigate to camera roll, open the pic, copy the text and paste it into an app that I actually use because this one doesn’t track properly. Try again. If you guys want some constructive feedback let me know. The time I waste putting everything in to a different app by cutting and pasting and re-entering is ridiculous. It cuts into my workout time by 10-15 mins! I’ve told my gym to stop using it. Fingers are crossed that this update pushes it over the edge.

### 1/5 — app don’t open and when open is slow

*2023-09-13, version 1.8.31*

long waiting for the app to open, the videos never open since the last ios update.

### 1/5 — Good concept, horrible execution

*2023-07-18*

This app has a lot of potential but is absolutely flooded with bugs and glitches. Almost to the point of it being unusable. From setting up clients, creating lifestyle prescriptions, updating programs and adding to programs, it’s utterly riddled with bugs. It’s to the extent that my clients are flooded with complaints and rightfully so. What I’ve had to carefully measure is the potential utility of the program worth all the bugs and inadequacies that is dealt with daily. It certainly deteriorates the quality of the program on the clients end as often their data disappears, my video links don’t work, or the information fails to save to name a few. I’m not quick to leave reviews but having suffered and held on for this long and still have yet to see much improvement I felt compelled in this instance to. They advertise as by “coaches for coaches” and that seems true because the potential is sky high but I wish there were was more people involved with programming competence because the app in its current state is nearly rendered unusable. In our industry our quality of service is required to be sky high but the app is falling dismally short of that.

### 1/5 — Cannot upload my videos

*2022-08-16, version 1.7.89*

I face a lot of issues from navigation inside the app to now I cannot upload my videos so the coach can review them.
I was capable of it in the previous version of the app.

### 1/5 — Stick with True Coach!

*2022-07-23, version 1.7.87*

Good idea but horrible execution. Nothing but glitch after glitch for me and my clients. Spend all day working on programming, hitting “save” only to have everything deleted next time the browser or app is opened. Do not trust this application to store anything for you!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best one yet

*2026-08-10*

I’ve worked with Train Heroic, and Trainerize. CoachRx is the fastest for program build out, easiest for navigating as well as client contact, and they helped transfer all my data over from both sites. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-08-01*

The HYROX training feels genuinely personalized instead of being a one-size-fits-all plan, and my coach checks in regularly to adjust workouts based on how I’m progressing while accommodating for my work and races. The communication is great and helps you to stay consistent. Definitely recommend it if you’re training for HYROX or road races.

### 5/5 — Best app on the game :)

### 5/5 — The Platform That Elevated My Coaching System

*2026-03-03*

I’ve been a personal trainer since 2016 and have tried almost every major training platform. CoachRX is the one I chose.

It’s built for real coaching, not just sets and reps. The assessment system, programming flow, and client education tools let me deliver structured, customized programs in one place.

If you’re serious about professional, high-quality coaching, CoachRX stands out.

### 5/5 — Comprehensive + Effective

*2025-10-26, version 2.1.135*

CoachRX is a very thoroughly designed app that’s constantly evolving and becoming better and better with each version update. The admin is always quick to help and open to feedback on improving the app and adding features for both coaches and clients. Highly recommend!

*2025-02-06*
