## What is CoaguSafe?

Puzzled by the vast amount of medication interacting with platelet function and coagulation? When do they have to be paused for surgery or anesthesia ?

This app gives you an answer to these questions and is therefore an ideal educational tool.

The covered substances are:
- Oral anticoagulants
- Heparin
- Low molecular weight heparin
- Adenosin diphosphate (ADP) antagonists
- Factor Xa inhibitors
- Thrombin inhibitors
- Cyclooxygenase inhibitors
- Gp IIb/IIIa inhibitors

The following guidelines can be selected:
- University Hospital Basel, Switzerland
- Kantonsspital St. Gallen, Switzeralnd
- Deutsche Gesellschaft für Anästhesiologie und Intensivmedizin (DGAI)
- Österreichische Gesellschaft für Anästhesiologie, Reanimation und Intensivmedizin
- European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESA)

The American Society of Regional Anesthesia (ASRA) guidelines had to be removed in July 2024 at the behest of ASARA.

Bisher keine inhaltlichen Fehler gefunden. Gerade bei Patient*Innen mit kombinierter Antikoagulation im perioperativen Setting eine gute Hilfe. 

Ich verwende CoaguSafe in Verbindung mit den ÖGARI-Empfehlungen (gibt es ebenfalls als App), die ich verständlicher finde als die Empfehlungen der DGAI.

Besonders, wenn man Operateuren pharmakologische Zusammenhänge erklären muss, sollte es einfach bleiben. 😉
