## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.8.0 — 2026-08-19

- The live match screen is rebuilt around one thumb: two big score buttons with Undo always in reach
- Your rotation is now a picture: six court slots with jersey numbers, the server outlined, the libero marked
- A new chip row tags any rally as a kill, ace, block, or opponent error in one tap, and it all counts toward season stats
- The libero follows the players they cover, even through substitutions, and can be set or changed during a live match
- Serve picks stick now: whoever you choose to serve a set is who serves it, on screen and in the saved match
- On iPad, a live rotation board shows side-out numbers for all six rotations while the set runs

Plus steadier photo imports in Tap-In and clearer messages when a parse runs long.

### 1.7.1 — 2026-08-18

Rotation fixes
- Rotations R2 through R6 now show the correct lineup. Players rotate
clockwise the way they do on court, so serve order follows your
  starting lineup.
- The libero is no longer placed in the serving position, and libero
substitutions now follow the back row correctly.
- Fixed player placement on the Game Time court, where the front row
could appear on the wrong side of the net.

Game Time reliability
- Undo now gives back a timeout logged by mistake.
- Set boundaries are protected from accidental undo, so a completed set
  can no longer be overwritten.
- Live score, serve and rotation are saved accurately, so a point isn't
lost if the app closes during a match.
- A finished set is saved as soon as the set ends.

### 1.7.0 — 2026-08-14

- The Play tab is now a session runner. Your practice plan becomes a live queue with a big countdown for each activity.
- Drill diagrams play as animations on the court screen while the clock runs. When a drill runs long, the clock counts up in red instead of rushing you to the next thing.
- Fixed: diagrams and videos attached to your practice sections now show up on the sideline view.
- Any activity you build can be shared as a link. Whoever opens it sees the diagram animating live, no account needed.
- Whiteboard animations export as looping GIFs.
- Practice and activity links show a real preview in text threads.

Plus the screen stays awake during sessions, whiteboard polish, faster share pages, and security improvements under the hood.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-07-23

Enter stats after the match. Type them in, or snap a photo of your paper scoresheet and Tap In builds the box score for every player.
Export all six rotations as one sheet for the bench.
Scorekeeper mode locks the screen to just the score, so anyone on the bench can track.
Blocks and receptions now log in one tap.
Set recap between sets, a cleaner stats table, and 34 new drills with 12 new practice templates.

### 1.5.1 — 2026-07-21

Live match tracking got most of the attention this release.

The court reads better. The free zone sits a shade darker than the court
so the boundary is obvious at a glance, and player tokens sit on the
court with names in pills instead of text fighting the court lines.

Match tracking
- Reopening a match you left running no longer shows an impossible
clock. It caps the time, pauses, and tells you what happened.
- While the match runs, tapping a player opens the action menu right
away, and dragging players is off. Drag comes back before the first
  serve and between sets.
- Live stats use three color tiers instead of a full spread, so the
  numbers that matter stand out.
- Reset Match is reachable during a live match from the event log.
- Points give a haptic tap.

Lineups
- The tactics columns use volleyball phases now: sideout offense,
transition offense, serve and defense, coverage and recovery. Tags you
already saved are kept and simply relabeled.
- Tapping a bench player and then a player on the court swaps them. It
  used to do nothing.
- The Save button no longer overlaps the header on smaller phones.

Teams and data
- Two teams sharing a name and format are no longer merged on startup.
Starting a new season with last year's team name is safe.
- The home screen loads faster and pulls far less data.
