## What is CoatCount?

Buy the right amount of paint the first time.

CoatCount turns a tape measure and thirty seconds into a real answer: how many litres, which cans, and what it costs. Measure the room, subtract the doors and windows, pick your coats and your paint tier, and walk into the store with a list instead of a guess.

What you get:

- A room measurer that does the real math: walls and ceiling, minus doors, windows, and any custom unpainted area, in metres or feet with live conversion.
- Coats and coverage done honestly. Set the coverage from the can and a waste margin for cutting in; CoatCount computes litres or gallons per room.
- Rounding to real store cans: quarts, gallons, and five gallon pails, chosen as the cheapest mix that still covers the job at your prices.
- Cost by paint tier: budget, mid-range, and premium, with shelf prices you can edit to match your store, and a chart comparing what the whole plan would cost at each tier.
- Multi-room projects with totals: group the main floor or the whole house and see litres, cans, and cost for the entire job.
- A shopping list rolled up by color and tier, with check-off at the store, plus a paint plan PDF and CSV you can share or print.
- A leftover paint tracker: log the cans you keep, how much is left, and where they were used. When a color matches, the store list says so before you buy.
- Syncs across iPhone, iPad, and Mac with iCloud.
- Private by design: no account, no ads, no tracking.
