At first I didn’t get the game and was confused on how to play, but now I understand the game and play it all the time and I actually got better at this game and won games without losing for a day. So if you’re a cobra Kai/Karate kid fan I would definitely recommend you to play this. The only nit pick I have is the graphics, when I saw Kreese I was ready to play as him and when I did I saw that he looked like Mike Barnes. Can’t get pass, so I move on to something else. Can’t seem to figure out how to switch among characters to play. The real problem here is the graphics. The graphics of this game could probably have been replicated in a 2000 edition of Street Fighter. The 2D graphics are great, but once you get into the battle, it almost hurts my eyes. This should be a relatively easy thing to change, provided you have the models or team to create the models for. I think it would be fun. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Waste of money *2022-06-27, version 1.0.15* The game hasn’t loaded the past couple of days. Just as well since it’s a complete waste of money. It doesn’t link to the Game Center and you can’t log in on Facebook to save your progress or what you previously purchased, even with the season pass. If you move to a new phone, you can’t restore the game from where you last left off or anything you previously purchased. You have to start all over again. ### 1/5 — Be careful if you get a new Ipad! *2022-01-04, version 1.0.14* I had this game since it came out. It was great and the gameplay continues to be great. The problem is that I got a new Ipad for Christmas. I transferred over all content from my previous Ipad, including this game. However, when I went to play it forced me to create a new account. All of my achievements, belts, players, costumes, etc were all gone. I had spent a lot of money on character packs as well as the monthly sensai pass. Everything that I purchased is now gone. I have no clue what my original player ID# was so the company says they cant do anything. A lot of money was wasted simply because I got a new Ipad. All other games have a restore feature for purchases - this one does not. I will now cancel my monthly pass and have to find a new game. If you reach out to support@cobrakaigame.com with a full list of everything you lost, it should be able to be restored now. ### 1/5 — I got screwed *2021-08-15, version 1.0.10* So basically I downloaded this game back when it came out I had the skeleton Miguel skin proving it.. well I played on that account up until Kreese and his Sensei pass came out I had Kreese and everything so I stopped playing for a while and I see Johnny(my favorite) is available.. I try to load up the game tells me there is an update well it updated the same update 10 or so times before I caught on it was the same update well I tried and tried to get it to work nothing worked.. so I delete the game and redownload it well low and behold there isn’t like a profile sign in or anything so I have none and I mean none of my stuff. I email praying I can get my stuff back I emailed them a few days later they ask me for all this information and tell me they will get me back to my spot on to where I was.. this is now almost 3 weeks and I got told that my account was made like 10 days ago and they gave me 200 gold and some cash and got told sorry for the inconvience? But when I finished the tutorial I was disappointed. The graphics are terrible ( you could’ve have put more effort into it because it looks like a 2 year old made it) and the game is confusing with the card thing. Hopefully they could fix it up because the game COULD have potential ### 1/5 — All my progress is gone *2021-04-26, version 1.0.4* I started playing this game daily, grinding to get hawk, as he is my favorite character. A lot of the comments on progression rang true for me, but i pushed past it and multiple character s had blue green and orange belts for me. Now the update has restarted all my progress and i have to redo the tutorial. I don’t know if it will all be fixed after the tutorial, but i’m too exhausted to even try. Please fix this or i’m giving up. ### 1/5 — Horrible and Confusing UI *2021-04-24, version 1.0.3* There was an MMA game on the App Store a while back that worked on basically the same sort of Rock Paper Scissors card battle framework and it was really fun once you got the hang of it. This game seems like a needlessly complicated, horribly put together mess. I really wanted to like this game but it’s pretty bad. Hopefully it’ll be fixed soon so it’s more than just garbage wrapped in a pretty package ### 1/5 — I want my money back! *2021-03-21, version 1.0.1* I played for 2 days spend $20 on packs and characters, I went to play today... game says I need to upload an update. It won’t update itself, so I delete the app and reinstall it. Now I can’t log into my profile and all my progress is gone. I bought Tory, Hawk, Stingray no longer have access to my sensei pass, characters, and my orange belt characters are gone... I want my money back or access to my account. ### 3/5 — Would be fun if not for the Bugs. *2023-12-05* The game itself is one of my favorite movie games and as a fan of the movies karate kid and the show cobra kai playing as my favorite characters is extremely entertaining and fun. However I have found that the sensei energy stopped replenishing over time and now I choose between having to pay every time I wanna play or dropping the game. I would love to keep playing but obviously I cant pay every time if i wanna play. My biggest disappointment about this game is the fight cards. They want you to upgrade them but this will take me for ever to do with the little they give you. Even if you buy them with your CK money. And buying a booster pack is not worth it either, they only give 4 cards. This has been the only game I haven’t deleted after a month cause granted it’s still fun for me to play. It’s a good game having a ton of fun with it. Deff give it a try the card aspect was a great idea vs just the standing hit a kick button or hit the punch button. This card game is Rock Paper Scissors with much strategy, so this game is not that primitive what so ever. Unbelievable thing to me which I haven’t seen much, is when you do online matches, and it says finding suitable player, IT ACTUALLY DOES. So you don’t get matched up against heavily upgraded players and can’t possibly win. Not a money grab game and no ads unless for a reward.
