Wex is such a horrible company with a horrible user interface.  They don’t care to invest anything into making their products user friendly.  They intentionally make this difficult so that it’s not easy to cancel the auto billing once you start. It’s slow and feels like the equivalent of using dialup.  Unfortunately since they deal with the most vulnerable populations so they get away with this. I beg of companies to stop using wex to handle the benefit management for cobra.

The problems started right at the registration stage: I entered all my information, but nothing happened. I never received any confirmation email. After that, I couldn't log into my account at all. I tried to reset my password — it didn't work. I tried to recover my username - also didn't work.
At this point, nothing functions properly, and there is no clear way to move forward.
The situation feels completely hopeless because the system simply does not allow you to do anything. This is an unacceptable user experience for something as important as insurance access.

The available payment option description is poorly drafted. And there are only two ways to avoid convenience fee;
1. Mail-in check or 
2. Use “ACH” auto recurring payments. In which you need a Bank checking account. 
If pay with credit card, you will be charged additional $20 for each month premium. And you are not allowed to pay multiple months premium at once.

I want to personally thank COBRA/WEX for charging me a $20 “convenience” fee in order to pay for my insurance after I lost my job. HOW CAN THIS BE LEGAL. EVEN SETTING UP REOCCURING PAYMENTS CHARGES ME $20.  

I took a look and the card number is sent untokenized. Having worked in payments, I'm pretty sure this is a PCI violation. Also they are charging, not for card processing (which, to be fair, is expensive) but also for ACH online. This costs them nothing.

SHAME ON THESE HORRIBLE COMPANIES THAT PREY ON THE VULNERABLE. Long live Mario and Luigi.

$20 transaction fees!  Per online payment!!   In what world does it make sense for a company to charge customers for the ability to pay online but not for mailing in a physical check?  It is not possible that the mailed check option is less expensive for the company.  This company is so terrible, it’s embarrassing.

Had not had any issues with the app until yesterday.  Suddenly i was logged out and have been unable to log back in on the app since.  I did manage to finally get access via the website, but only after it forcing me to change my password from the one I had been using previously.  Have stopped paying online due to the additional $20 fee that is charged doing so.  Have checks from an address 12 yrs ago i found and have begun mailing in my payment to save myself the $20.  It's very difficult to reach a live person by phone who can help you.  Like my prior employer, Wex is in it for only the money, not the customer.

Payments do not go through reliably, even though they are automated. Miss a payment due to the app not working and your policy is cancelled until they decide to make an exception. This requires at least 2 hours on the phone and mild hysterics.
