They have improved the app, updating it with new cocktails and the ability to personalize it more. It is definitely worth downloading. I’d like to see more ingredients added and more brand names used especially when it comes to amaro & rums. ### 4/5 — Great app, with a couple of caveats *2025-11-11, version 3.0.10* I love the user interface of this app, especially the ability to see what and how many ingredients you’re missing to make particular drinks. I also appreciate that they’re adding new cocktails all the time. One quirk that needs addressing is when adding a custom drink, even though it allows you to add many ingredients, only 4 ingredients are visible as you’re editing; so if you need to change something that’s not displayed, it’s quite difficult to do. I also wish custom drinks would show up in a search without having to go to a separate list, but that isn’t a huge deal—just a minor inconvenience. Overall, great app that I use multiple times per week. ### 4/5 — Great App- But Some Discrepancy Between App & Website *2025-10-17, version 3.0.10* I love this app, and I use it all the time! It helps me try cocktails and ingredients I never would have thought of combining. That being said, I have found that some recipes are on their website, but not in the app. An example of this is the Rattle Skull cocktail. I hope they manage to update each database to match, because now I feel like I’ve just been missing out on other recipes. Otherwise, this is a wonderful app, and I hope to see more updates in their Collections sections. ### 4/5 — Cool drink app *2025-05-10, version 3.0.9* I like that I can put my ingredients in and find drinks I can make from them. Moves that there are recommended ingredients and recipes that I only need one or two ingredients. Leave the subscriptions of Mixel & others behind. Grab Cocktail Party with a one-time purchase and you will secure the ultimate tool for making your drinks from home! I especially love the de-emphasis on specific brands oh alcohol and instead listing by liquor/liqueur types. You can’t add custom ingredients. This means while yea you can put in your custom recipes you’re stuck using their built in ingredients. It’s nearly exactly what I had in mind if I were to design my own cocktail app. Really enjoy the customizability. If it were possible to add a gradient color layer to the custom drinks, and maybe make custom collections (i understand you can virtually do this with tags) then I’d be 100% set. Also, this might just be me, but any app with subscriptions immediately turns me away. I’d much rather pay a flat payment and have it all forever, which this app does. Love it ### 5/5 — Massive Upgrades! *2024-07-07, version 3.0.7* I'm a long time user of Cocktail Party. I've always loved the UI and simplicity, but felt it lacked some advanced features. With the latest upgrades, every feature I wished the app had is now there is - sync between devices, multi ingredient search, custom drinks, multiple ingredient libraries! So now, the best looking and easiest to use cocktail app has all the data management features anyone could need. ### 3/5 — Not happy *2024-06-25, version 3.0.7* For some reason after the latest update the app refuses to open, sometimes waiting awhile it loads, others it just spins non stop. Update: Seems to be related to VPN usage, their new platform blocks the VPN provider I use. I don’t have a wide range, however most of what I have is not listed in their ingredients here for any pre existing, or more annoyingly, for own cocktail recipes. Where are the flavoured spirits? Where are the very basic juices and mixers? Where are a lot of very basic syrups? Just use diffords guide. I used this app all the time months ago, had all my bottles and drinks saved, and used it almost daily a few months back. With the latest update, I can’t even open the app though. No results. And yes, I downloaded the latest drinks. Just wish I could edit them to add what I actually have. I like that you can mark cocktails as favorites but without a way to organize them it’s not as useful as it could be. The look of the app is very nice, especially the individual cocktail pages. There’s no way I can see to search for cocktails by a specific ingredient which makes the app pretty useless. I did encounter a strange issue casing the app to crash. They reached out to me and through their support discord server. This is the best. I used to work in cocktail bars and still help out with special events on weekends. I have a pretty sizable home bar and want to be able to make as many classic and creative cocktails with my home inventory as possible. This app makes it so easy. I love the ingredient organization, icons that reflect popular brands, and recommendations for specific bottles. It’s great to see which ingredients added to my bar can add the most new cocktails. This is super helpful in prioritizing what to add next to the collection. I wish apps were designed this thoughtfully for every other aspect of life. The free apps are too limited and the subscription apps are WAY too expensive for what I want. This one has a one time cost. First off, the app is clean and looks great. I like how it tells you where they got the drink recipe. Also nice I can add my own recipes. But the feature I like the most is you record in the app what ingredients you have on hand and it tells you what drinks you can make now, which drinks you need one more ingredient, which ones you need two ingredients, and so on. Would (and have been) recommend to anyone looking for a cocktail recipe app. ### 5/5 — Best elevated cocktail app I’ve found *2025-04-04* From all the cocktail apps I’ve tried, this is easily the best. The elevated cocktail recipes and ingredient recommendations are often perfectly curated, the UI is easy to use and search through, the amount of recipes is incredible, and the create your own cocktail helps fill in the gaps. Other than a minor issues I’ve encountered where all my listed ingredients disappear and I have to re-enter them (twice over 3-4 months), I’ve had zero issues with the app, and that’s only a 1-2 minute headache. For a 4 dollar app with absolutely no subscription model like so many of the cocktail apps, this is a must have for any people interested in cocktails.
