## What is Code CPR 5?

Code CPR allows for the quick and easy timing and registration of events during incidents or medical procedures in the emergency room, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch.

In this environment it is important, yet very difficult, to maintain a reliable record of what is happening, as well as to accurately record the amount of elapsed time. It was to assist those who are likely to perform these functions that this app was created.

Features:
• Easy to use event logging. The app comes with around 100 events in several predefined categories (drugs, procedures and other events), with the possibility of adding many more. These can marked as favorites for easy selection, or searched for by name and category.
• Logging the amount of time elapsed since activation.
• Audio and visual alarms for events.
• A log book for past events, with the date and time during the procedure in which they were added. They can be exported in text format to either clipboard or e-mail.
• A metronome to facilitate the performance of cardiac massage with the correct frequency on your phone.
• Apple Watch Support with glances notifications and event logging.
• Support for Live Activities and Dynamic Island for showing the current CPR time, last Events and Vitals in the lock screen.
• Lock screen widget so that you could quickly open Code CPR.

## Key features

- Easy event logging with predefined and custom events
- Elapsed time tracking
- Audio and visual alarms
- Exportable logbook
- Metronome for cardiac massage
- Apple Watch support
- Live Activities and Dynamic Island integration

### 3/5 — Metronome

*2021-01-26*

The metronome is very difficult to start/stop. The metronome symbol is very tiny icon in the upper left corner of the phone. The touch area is so small it takes a lot of tapping, pressing in that tiny area to get it started. A larger area for activation, for all the functionality, would improve the usefulness of this app. Also, a lower tone or selection of tones would be more pleasing to the ear instead of a high pitched screech. iPhone 12 Pro Max, IOS 14.3.

### 1/5 — Waste time

*2019-05-02, version 5.6.2*

Absolutely waste of time.
To complicated to use in Cardiac Arrest.

### 5/5 — Awesome App Customer Support

*2018-02-02*

Love the app and when I emailed the customer support asking about if there was a way to add custom labels they answered me within a couple hours and within a week an update was released to allow this!!

### 3/5 — Overall great app...

*2017-07-17*

Great set up. Would give 5 stars but; Metronome hurts peoples ears and skips around a lot then confuses the compressor trying to keep up with the metronome. Would like to see if you can change the metronome sound to something more like a click, like a real metronome. Otherwise I can add more events that I use at work which is wonderful. Love the favorites list saves a lot of time. Overall great app, thank you!

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for the review.
As for the the metronome the sound is purposely loud, to make sure it can be heard in an loud environment. Maybe it can be made a bit shorter. As for the skipping, when testing it didn't seem to do it but I will look it again.

### 1/5 — Enhancement

*2015-07-21*

Can't start timer from the watch, an got to have the app running on the phone just to see the timer on the watch. needs to be fix, an would be nice to have a option to hear the heart beat sound from the watch to keep you on rhythm, while doing CPR.

**Developer response:** Hi, this reported bug was already fixed.
As for the suggested feature, it is already implemented, not with a sound but with a tap on the wrist, with the frequency defined in the iPhone app.
Best regards

### 5/5 — Keep track of any critical event with confidence

*2014-09-04*

This app is destined to become the clinician's best friend. With customizable lists of drugs, procedures and clinical states - which can be shared across a workforce - it allows the accurate capturing of any event and intervention, including those during a resuscitation. With built-in timers it can prompt CPR rates as well as timed drug administration. The resulting record allows the clinician to write high quality and reliable notes after the event. Many thanks to the developer for such a useful app.

**Developer response:** Thanks
Good to know that is useful.

### 2/5 — Not intuitive!

*2014-07-16*

I download this app thinking that it will be great to have something to help you in a code but after try it for some time I realize that this is not an intuitive app and needs some refinements. Also in this situation you need to focus in what are you doing and not in what button do you need to touch to record the situation. I appreciate that the developer try to make something great to help the healthcare workers in that situation of stress but the app needs to be easier to operate and more intuitive.

### 1/5 — Very bad and useless

*2013-08-23, version 2.6.1*

Dont buy. A complete waste of your money.
Very complicated to use in resus.
