## What is Code?

Everything a fire alarm and life safety tech needs on the job, free, and it works with no signal.

CodeGreen Tools is a set of field calculators, a searchable code reference, and free NICET practice, built by a practicing NICET Level IV technician and Connecticut licensed contractor. No account required to use any of it.

FIELD CALCULATORS
- Standby battery sizing from standby and alarm current draw
- Strobe candela by room size, mounting, and ceiling height
- NAC voltage drop for notification circuits
- Speaker circuit current draw and dB loss on 25V/70V lines
- Smoke and heat detector spacing, including high-ceiling and beam reductions
- Box fill per NEC Article 314
- Conduit fill for FA cable or THHN, with NEC Chapter 9 Note 9 handled correctly for multiconductor cable
- Conduit bending: offsets, saddles, stubs, back-to-back, rolling offsets, 4-bend saddles, and segmented 90s, each one showing which mark on your bender to use and which way the hook faces
- Occupant load by function of space
- Whether a fire alarm system is required, by occupancy

CODE REFERENCE
Search fire alarm and electrical requirements in plain English, each one pointing at the actual chapter so you can go read it yourself. Flag the ones that get written up most often.

COMMON VIOLATIONS
Browse deficiencies the way you'd walk a building: by category, or by describing what you found. Each one comes with report language, the requirement behind it, and whether it's actually a violation or just a recommendation.

NICET PREP
Free practice papers for Levels I through IV, mixed to the published domain weighting for each level and drawn from a rotating question pool. Make an account only if you want your best score saved and carried across devices.

Every table and every calculation is built into the app. No signal needed in a basement, a mechanical room, or anywhere else cell service doesn't reach.

Not affiliated with NFPA, NICET, or ICC. This app is a planning and reference aid, not a substitute for the actual standards or for review by your authority having jurisdiction.
