### 1/5 — Battery hog

*2017-11-17, version 7.0.4*

Used more than 50% of my battery in less than 6 hours in background processes. Uninstalled.

### 1/5 — New Version Doesn't Work

*2017-08-13, version 7.0*

Don't know why AT&T passed off their "AT&T Code Scanner" program ScanLife|Scanbuy – I can't get the new version to work. Bummer. I'll be looking to see if there's an alternative option.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work anymore

*2017-08-07, version 7.0*

Used to work fine - no longer works. Uninstalling!

### 1/5 — Entrepreneurs

*2017-07-21, version 7.0*

Works, but extremely annoying app. I has built in ads for dozens of stores. For example every time one drives within 300 yards of Home Depot etc. it sets off an alarm compelling you to stop and shop. I have quit shopping at the stores it suggests.

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2017-07-14, version 7.0*

Doesn't work

### 1/5 — Crashes nonstop, something is completely wrong

*2017-06-15, version 6.4*

This app has AT&T on it, how have they built something that is so terrible and errors out most of the time?

### 1/5 — Stopped working

*2017-05-15, version 6.4*

Stopped working for me suddenly. There's another app called "ScanLife" that looks exactly like this one except it works.

### 1/5 — USE TO BE GOOD APP-NOT NOW!

*2017-04-29, version 6.4*

I am a personal user of the ScanLife Mobile App. The app did work well for the last 2 years, HOWEVER, it does not recognize any UPC's now!!
I loved being able to compare prices and now all I get is "Sorry we couldn't find this product anywhere". REALLY??
Also when I scan a Code-it just tells me about the product which is good info-but would be nice if it would show comparison shopping options and prices!
If this is the way it works now-I'm removing the App.

### 1/5 — Not the one you're looking for.

*2017-04-01, version 6.4*

Used to work fine. Now When it doesn't crash, it reads the QR code and pops up to tell you the URL it found, but there isn't any way to actually go to the URL. Deleting.

### 2/5 — Works most of the time

*2017-01-19, version 6.4*

Basically this app will scan codes and then try to look up products that match. It is fairly quick when it works, and it works without having to carefully position the code at the right size and distance. If what you're scanning is not a product code this app is fairly useless.

### 1/5 — Useless....deleted

*2017-01-18, version 6.4*

App does nothing but crash. Doesn't deserve one star but can't give zero. Delete.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2017-01-18, version 6.4*

When AT&T had this it was good. They turned it over to another company and now it no longer works. It crashes immediately upon being opened. And I guess there's no human being behind the curtain doing anything about it. I'm deleting the app and using my Norton Snap code scanner which works every time.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2017-01-05, version 6.4*

Crashes on startup. Last version did the same thing. IOS 10.2

### 1/5 — Does not work anymore

*2017-01-04, version 6.4*

When starting the app, it just crashes now. This was a good app when it was the AT&T scanner. This app should get zero stars. It will be uninstalled and will not be reloaded at a future date.

### 1/5 — Won't even open anymore

*2016-12-28, version 6.4*

AT&T turned this app over to someone else and it quit working. Deleting for something new.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2016-12-27, version 6.4*

Since att changed this doesn't work at all. Opens and shuts sporadically. Deleted it - waste of time and memory.

### 1/5 — JW

*2016-12-23, version 6.4*

App is completely useless! Please update soon!

### 1/5 — App Crashes

*2016-12-15, version 6.4*

It used to work; crashes.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Useless

*2021-09-02, version 9.0.3*

Doesn’t work at all since the update

### 1/5 — Useless

*2020-03-24, version 8.0.5*

From the rating above, subtract ten stars. I would have happily left it at zero, but your insistence pisses me off.

Does not identify even common codes such as Crest toothpaste. Now I remember why I deleted the app years ago.

### 1/5 — Update renders the app non functional

*2019-07-23, version 8.0.4*

Update renders the app non functional
Deleting app

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2019-07-13, version 8.0.3*

Does not find anything. It’s been years since this app worked. It used to be decent, but now it’s a waste of space.

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2019-06-23, version 8.0.3*

Opens QR linked website but keyboard won’t allow letters in Account Number field.

Once everything entered via copy/paste nuisance the app won’t allow clicking on the buttons to proceed.

### 1/5 — Does Not Identify Anything?

*2019-03-26, version 7.0.9*

This used to be my go to Barcode Scanner App for years, but as if today I am deleting it off my iPhone 7 Plus as it will not successfully identify any type of barcode anymore. I switched to 2 others that work perfectly and never going back to this one. Obviously the App developer no longer cares if this App even functions properly anymore based on previous reviews! Bye!

### 1/5 — Worthless app don’t need it taking up any space

*2018-11-09, version 7.0.6*

This app is worthless on 9 out of 10 items I checked it said sorry cannot find information

### 1/5 — Crap App

*2018-04-08, version 7.0.4*

Worked a few times than it suddenly crashes every time you try to launch it. Appears obsolete and totally generic.
Time to move to a more stable version for iOS 11

### 1/5 — Crashes!!!

*2018-02-14, version 7.0.4*

Crashes every single time it scans a qr code. This app does not work. Running iOS 11.2.5

### 1/5 — Still crashes

*2017-11-18, version 7.0.4*

I got this as an update to the older AT&T version and it crashed, would not work. This app is obsolete in iOS 11 as your camera will recognize QR codes in the same way.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Still works great on my device

*2020-05-18, version 8.0.5*

iPhone 6S iOS 13.2.3 (5/18/2020)

### 5/5 — Great

*2016-12-28, version 6.4*

This app is great

### 5/5 — Code Scanner Great App

*2016-11-23, version 6.4*

Code Scanner is a great app but retailers are adjusting to this game changer. More retailers are demanding and getting unique barcodes for their products to make comparison shopping and price match promises tougher for consumers

Apps like this are also dependent upon crowd sourcing to collect the data all consumers want to use.

### 5/5 — Great

*2016-10-15, version 6.4*

It is a very great app that gives very good rewards.

### 5/5 — it works

*2016-06-11, version 6.2*

👍

### 5/5 — Scanner App..Black Screen

*2016-05-31, version 6.2*

To Joe, Go to settings, scanner app, and turn on your camera. I was getting a black screen too until I found out my camera was turned off. In settings you can also make other adjustments, like turning off notifications among other things.

### 5/5 — Fast and easy.

*2014-09-21, version 4.2*

Tried a couple of other apps then finally landed on this one. The others, you had to fool with the camera tryin to get it to taketbe code. This one is just point and click. Get it.

### 5/5 — ATT Scan Application Easy

*2014-07-15, version 4.2*

The ATT quick scan app is quick and easy to use. Often you see scan codes in advertisements and you don't have a pencil or aren't near a computer. You can save them for later if you don't have Internet connections.

### 5/5 — Works great!

*2014-06-15, version 4.2*

Happy with it

### 5/5 — ARIZMONTEROJAZ

*2014-06-07, version 4.2*

Cogito ergo sum[a] (/ˈkoʊɡɨtoʊ ˈɜrɡoʊ ˈsʊm/, also /ˈkɒɡɨtoʊ/, /ˈsʌm/; Classical Latin: [ˈkoːɡitoː ˈɛrɡoː ˈsʊm], "I think, therefore I am") is a philosophical proposition by René Descartes. The simple meaning of the Latin phrase is that thinking about one’s existence proves—in and of itself—that an "I" exists to do the thinking; or, as Descartes explains, "[W]e cannot doubt of our existence while we doubt … ."
