Code Time turns the time you spend in your editor into clear charts and totals.
See your day at a glance: total coding hours, your most productive time of day, which languages you used, and which projects you worked on.
Look back: 7-day, 30-day, 90-day, and yearly trends. Compare days. See your active streak.
Track AI: if you use Claude Code, Cursor, or other AI assistants, Code Time pulls in token usage, sessions, tool calls, and AI-assisted code changes — so you can see how much your work is actually augmented by AI.
Home screen widgets: Today's coding time, this year's activity heatmap, top languages, and recent AI usage — all updating throughout the day.
Sources: Code Time tracks via official editor plugins for VS Code and JetBrains IDEs, plus an agent CLI for terminal-based AI assistants. The mobile app is a read-only companion to your dashboard at codetime.dev.

### 1.9 — 2026-08-14

What's new in 1.9

• Widgets and watch complications now follow the app's language setting instead of the device language.
• Fixed a case where a dashboard could stay stuck on "Couldn't load" with no way to switch back to a working range.
• The Vibe widget now keeps its last known figures when a range fails to refresh, instead of dropping to zero.
• Network problems now say what actually went wrong — offline or timed out — instead of a technical message.

What's new in 1.8

• Settings now has an About section showing the app version and build number.
• For users in mainland China, the App's ICP filing number is displayed there as required.

What's new in 1.7

• Apple Watch can now ask your iPhone for a sync on its own, so the watch recovers by itself when a background update doesn't arrive.
• Refresh moved to the watch's top bar, and the corner complications now lay their text out along the bezel the way watchOS expects.
• Your filters are remembered — the time range, machine and agent you picked are still there the next time you open the app.
• Settings no longer picks up pull-to-refresh from the screen behind it.
• Project and model rankings now share one bar width, so the bars compare truthfully.

What's new in 1.6

• Apple Watch now refreshes its own data directly, so your complications stay fresh even when your iPhone isn't nearby.
• You stay signed in more reliably — your session refreshes automatically instead of dropping you back at the login screen.
• VoiceOver now describes the charts and the activity heatmap, and the dashboards scale with larger text sizes.
• Loading is smoother with placeholder skeletons, and the filter controls now stretch to fill the width.

### 1.5 — 2026-06-06

What's new in 1.5

• Pick any time range on the Time and Vibe tabs — Today, This week, Last month, Year to date, or a fully custom date range, just like the web dashboard.
• Filter the Vibe dashboard by AI agent (Claude Code, Codex, …) and by machine to see exactly where your tokens go.
• The cost timeline now rolls long ranges up into weekly or monthly bars, so all-time charts stay readable.
