What's New in Codon One

2.5.0

July 6, 2026

Module 6: Development is here. Follow life from a single fertilized cell to a fully formed body, with illustrated lessons on cleavage, gastrulation, cell differentiation, pattern formation, growth, repair, and evo-devo. Includes new quizzes and glossary terms. Impossible

As a student currently in BIO 101 I can say without a DOUBT that Codon Learning is the absolute worst part of my education. My own biology professor has to correct incorrect information that Codon ‘teaches’ us because the information is completely inaccurate sometimes. Not only that, but the Homeworks are genuinely so stressful. Please add more than two attempts on a question. Speaking of questions, stop adding so many per module and stop adding multiple sections to one question. Holy workload. Making us work just to work.

Response from developer

We’re sorry this was your experience, but several points in this review do not match how Codon One works. The app does not include homework assignments. Each section has a fixed short 6-question review quiz with unlimited attempts, and students can also lock or unlock sections using the Edit button in the module view. Accuracy is extremely important to us. Codon One’s content is created and reviewed by educators/researchers with PhDs in biology who work at leading universities. If your professor has identified specific inaccurate content, please send the module, question, or screenshot to codon-one@gmx.de so we can review it carefully. We are always open to concrete feedback and will correct any verified issue.

Super ⭐️
