### 4/5 — Nice app, little quirk

This app works well. I like how I can take a picture of label, set my measurements, and rate. Easy to add beans. Only issue is the bag size changes every time I edit. I put in 12 oz and it changes it to some weird giant number. I edit to fix and is fine if I never go back in. I decided to go all in with lifetime subscription of $40 before I knew this, so that bothers me more than it should. Other than that, I have found it to be a handy app for me to remember and favorite beans.

Danach habe ich lange gesucht: Eine Kaffee-App mit funktionalem Design ohne dem sonst üblichen Kaffee-Schnickschnack. Andere Apps gehen auch von der unsinnigen Annahme aus, man würde jeden Espressobezug genau protokollieren.
Nicht so BeanVault: Hier stehen tatsächlich die einzelnen Kaffeesorten im Vordergrund. Welche Kaffees habe ich noch im Schrank, welche habe ich schon mal getrunken, was kosten sie und, natürlich, wie haben sie mir geschmeckt.
Beim Erfassen der Kaffeesorten hilft der eingebaute Scanner mit AI unterstützter Texterkennung. Hier wird schon mal alles Erkannte in die richtigen Rubriken eingetragen, so dass sich ein großer Teil der Tipperei von selbst erledigt. Ich empfehle die Rückseiten der Packungen zu scannen weil sich hier i.d.R. mehr Informationen finden als auf der Vorderseite. Bemerkenswert hier auchvdie automatische Freistellung der Kaffeebeutel aus den Produktbildern, das sieht in der Übersicht dann sehr edel aus.
Die Möglichkeiten für jeden Kaffee ein Link zum Artikel in einem Shop zu hinterlegen runden die Archivierung ab.
Die Statistiken über das Kaffeearchiv sind mir nicht sonderlich wichtig (wer braucht die durchschnittliche Höhe aller Anbaugebiete? :-)
Alles in Allem gut aussehende und durchdachte App für Reisende und Entdecker im Kaffeeuniversum.

Tracks good details and the AI insight is really cool. However after it displays the AI insight and you save the bean the AI data disappears it is not saved, the only way to see it again is to do another AI scan.
