### 3/5 — Crashing

*2025-02-07*

It was good just in start but got too many bugs, 1- can not delete any graph!, 2- it just turn to some white pages and not coming back in any way, u should leave the graph and come back agian to it work, and it happens mostly, 3- in this version if u want to add a branch before branch u were typing and only can change placement of it, 4- it is too hard to change position of each line and it is not easy to use!

### 3/5 — Desktop only works well

*2024-01-02*

Desktop functionality is great.
iPad functionality is clunky and has a big learning curve.
iPhone doesn’t even load drawing history / folders.

Haven’t tried contacting support yet, but by the reviews here — the company gave up years ago.

Will keep using the desktop/laptop browser version and if the mobile app versions have no plan to get fixed I’ll ask for a refund.

### 4/5 — Brilliant for quick mind maps

*2022-09-28, version 0.0.25*

It feels so natural compared to most others!

### 4/5 — Like the flow, dislike the interface

*2022-02-05*

I love the simplicity of this app, but the white background makes it very hard for me to look at for very long, and unfortunately I can’t keep using this app if it’s hindering my productivity. A “dark mode” would be highly appreciated.

### 3/5 — Crashes

*2022-01-21, version 0.0.25*

When try to download generating image.

I bet my diagram is a bit too big for this feature.

But it can be seen as a bug that needs fixes…

### 2/5 — Great concept but not worth £50.

*2021-11-30, version 0.0.24*

Great app for studying. Not worth a £5/month or £50/year subscription. Other apps like notability or GoodNotes are £9 max one time purchase. This app is nice, but they’d need to sort out the glitches before I even considered paying fifty quid for it. It will randomly pan out or remove my mind map so I have to reload it, or close the app and start again. It will also delete recent amendments to the mind map and I have to enter them again. Works horribly in split screen too.

### 2/5 — love coggle but this app is no good

*2021-09-24*

it almost completely unusable with the amount of glitchy interactions, absolutely better off using the mobile site on iOS

### 3/5 — Ok app, needs work

*2021-05-18*

It works but could use a face lift to go more with the style of iPadOS 15. You can tell this app was designed before iPadOS existed.

### 2/5 — Missing Features & Restrictions

*2021-02-24, version 0.0.22*

Started out great until you realise that you need to sign in with Microsoft or Google. Or Apple, of course. Even getting past that, the app does not include the same functionality as the web version, which is ridiculous! Needs a lot of work.

### 2/5 — Coggle=good, iPad version=bad

*2020-12-24*

I love Coggle but the iPad app is bizarre and has a “mind” of its own. I wish I could do serious edits using my iPad, but the response is so random and often destructive that it’s honestly dangerous to my maps. Just use Coggle on the web and hope they eventually completely scrap this app and make one that is useable.

### 2/5 — Confusing & Almost No Instructions

*2020-12-19, version 0.0.21*

I’ve had this five years. I almost never use it because it takes far more time to figure out how to work the app than actually getting your thoughts down. In trying to make this simple and minimalistic the creators have made it incomprehensible. In their attempts to make it intuitive, they have made it useless. You’ll waste an afternoon tapping, double tapping, tapping and holding, and then accidentally deleting. All the actions you need use archaic symbols so you have to guess, then there’s no simple ‘undo’ (that I can find) to back out of your mistake. There are a zillion menu options you’re expected to memorize, and even getting the menu to appear is confusing. Things are even worse if you’re using an iPad, because a keyboard is necessary to bring up a menu. And the thing generally tries to anticipate what you want to do. The only thing I can say in Coggle’s favor is that the diagrams are colorful, attractive and artistic.

### 1/5 — I really don't think I'll continue

*2020-11-22, version 0.0.21*

I bought a year of subscription but I won't continue. The apps are just terrible :( last update 5 months ago.

### 2/5 — Bad app

*2020-11-05, version 0.0.21*

This app keeps glitching and it doesn't work properly

### 3/5 — Looks nice, undo doesn’t work

*2020-11-03*

Looks nice. But the undo feature doesn’t seem to work.

### 2/5 — Cannot login

*2020-10-16, version 0.0.21*

I cannot login coggle app and website. What happened about server？

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App is not compatible with new iPhone

*2025-06-23*

The toolbar is merged with the iPhones upper toolbar. I can’t click any of the options at the top of the screen

### 1/5 — Literally does nothing

*2024-07-11*

There seem to be positive reviews for this on a webpage, but the iPhone app didn't do anything. After setting up an account, it opens with a page that say “start with a diagram” on a blank page. In the upper right is a ‘+’ and in the upper left is a figure that looks like a polygon. Nothing happens when you try tapping either. Nothing starts drawing on the screen. Too bad.

### 1/5 — Barely Functions

*2024-04-23, version 0.0.25*

Quite literally doesn’t work in iPhone. I’ve used it for a big mind map on PC, on my phone adding any node it just freezes up.

### 1/5 — Used to love it

*2023-11-16*

I am a graduate student who was introduced to Coggle by one of my professors. In this particular class we use Coggle weekly as the entire class is made up of group projects. For months I have been loving it enough to buy a subscription, it seems to be a wonderful collaborative tool and works great…until it doesn’t. Recently my peers submitted a project we had been working on in Coggle, my input that I could see from my devices and that I had put hours of time and effort in to was missing! I should add that for all our other projects (that were completely functional for everyone, myself included) that my peers had used their FREE Coggle’s to create the map and this was the first time I created and invited them using my PAID account, I’ll say it again, their FREE account works properly and my PAID account did not work!! Not only does my information not show up on their devices, the point of a collaborative tool like this, but I am also unable to download the Coggle as a PDF or PNG file, which is what we need to submit our projects. I had to copy all of my Coggle information paste it into a Word document for submission making our project look disjointed, unfinished, and unprofessional. Speaking of unprofessional, I feel it is very unprofessional to not have better support services for customers who are paying for a service. I followed all the recommendations to fix my Coggle issue but nothing worked, there is no live person to speak with only communication for technical issues is via email, so now I sit and wait and hope to hear back. My professor who introduced me to Coggle is aware of the technical issues and is very kind allowing me to submit my portion as a word document, and that I have reached out to Coggle to try to fix the issue. It will reflect poorly on this company if I do not here back. I am a student at a large state university in the United States, you have probably gained multiple paying customers from this professor using it regularly with her students who are at levels of education bachelors through doctorate, that is a lot of good advertising, that you could lose if there is no follow through. I will gladly remove this review once I hear back from someone to assist me with my issues.

### 1/5 — Pointless app.

*2023-10-04, version 0.0.25*

Why do you let me download the program to be able to use it for actually working on stuff, just to be told “Because you’re on iOS 12, everything is read only”

Just don’t let people on iOS 12 download this waste of space, easy. Every other app stops you from being downloaded if your iOS version is too old.

And before you ask, yes I’ve tried to update it but it doesn’t let me.

### 1/5 — App is terrible, website great

*2022-12-22*

The app destroys coggles even doing simple edits and it does not have even half the functionality of the website. Only thing this could be good for is viewing Coggles with slightly more ease as opposed to just using a mobile browser

### 1/5 — iPad Pro 2020

*2022-07-06*

This app just makes all my things disappear when I finish typing. I have to close and open the document every time to see my stuff again.

### 1/5 — I can’t log in

*2022-06-13*

Every time I try to log in using my google account the verification process has an error message

### 1/5 — Keeps charging you $$$

*2020-12-27*

App worked fine, but there’s no way to unsubscribe when you no longer need it. It just keeps charging me every year and there is no link to customer support anywhere. When they charge me next I’m going to do everything in my power to dispute it.

### 1/5 — 10 minutes, and gone

*2020-11-26*

Downloaded to demo the app, and removed it ten minutes later. No instructions, most features inaccessible behind a paywall. I get that minimalist designs are popular, but if the demo version makes no effort to welcome me and bring me onboard, why would I upgrade? One star due to poor initial user experience.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Learn on the computer, work on an iPad

*2024-04-06*

Not sure what issues the other reviewers have had, maybe they’ve updated it, but the iPad app works as well as the desktop version. My files carry over, the keyboard shortcuts are the same (helps to have a keyboard connected to my iPad) and navigation is easy. Certainly will continue to use! Also fiddled with it on the iPhone with great success, able to edit existing maps easily.

### 5/5 — the best❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

*2022-12-30, version 0.0.25*

The best program for iPhone, especially since it is free, thank you very much

### 5/5 — Amazing, intuitive, one of the best mind maps I have used

*2022-10-06, version 0.0.25*

I have been working with this over the last couple of days. I love how easy it is to use. One of the best mind mapping systems I have used. It allows you to use pictures, files, the lot. All that much more than expensive mind mapping apps offer but without the super expense. Well done to the creator.

### 5/5 — DONT LISTEN TO PEOPLE THAT HATE IT

*2021-02-18*

it the best app sometimes I use it for brainstorming and for my children’s homework and it useful and works really well good job🙏✅👍

### 5/5 — Wonderful app!

*2020-08-03*

Coggle is the best, most intuitive mind mapping software I've used. I LOVE the fact that it's purely web-based. This app is excellent and it works great on an iPad, even recognizing certain physical keyboard commands w/ my iPad Pro. I'd deduct a star because of the lack of comment support, but I'd rate the app 6 stars if I could just because of how much I love it... so 5 stars it is. 👍

### 5/5 — Uhhhh

*2020-06-18, version 0.0.21*

Have not used it yet, 5 stars :D

### 5/5 — It is working really well

*2020-05-30*

Just downloaded this yesterday and tried out. It is really wonderful. It is easy to create and manage. I use the free version and it is good enough for what I need right now. Really happy with it.

### 5/5 — Long time user. Best mind mapping web/mobile app

*2019-11-28, version 0.0.20*

I’ve used Coggle since it started. I’ve tried others but this one has worked best with my needs. Aesthetically probably one of the cleanest. Keep up the good work.

### 5/5 — Amazing App

*2019-03-07, version 0.0.17*

This app has all the features for free! It is way better than sway or PowerPoint and has so many features!

Amazing

### 5/5 — Love Coggle!

*2019-02-07, version 0.0.16*

I use Coggle as a learning tool for university students to collaboratively create genre specific taxonomies for science courses. Active learning works!
