User reviews

awesome app for learning

I had tough time making flashcards because i couldn’t type for longer periods due to joint pains, but the create feature helped me make precise flashcards using my voice. I have accent but it never misunderstands whatever i say and makes exact numbers of flashcards i want.

Response from developer

Thank you, Riri! Voice creation was built for exactly this — precise cards without all the typing. It means a lot that it handles your accent and makes the exact number you want. If anything would make it even better for you, tell us at support@cognitosystem.com. Happy learning!

Cognito review

This app has astonished me. I didnt expect such polished design, really. These AI flashcards help me revise the topics that i have been studying, and when i type down what topics i need help with, this AI preps them with ease and creates skilltrees that seriously help me. I love this app.

Response from developer

Thank you — this genuinely made our day. We care a lot about the design and about making the AI actually useful for revision, so it means the world to hear the skill trees and topic prep are helping you study. If there's ever a subject or feature you'd love to see, tell us at support@cognitosystem.com. Happy revising — and thank you for the kind words!

language switch

idk how to change it back to english all the flash cards i make turn into french

Response from developer

Thanks for the review — and you're right, when you wrote this there was no clear way to control the card language. Sorry about that. We've since fixed exactly this. After updating to the latest version, go to Settings → Learning → Card language and choose English (or "Device language" to match your phone) — new cards will come out in English, not French. For the French cards you already made, you can edit them directly, or use our new Translate Deck (open a deck → ⋯ → Translate Deck) to convert the whole deck to English in one tap while keeping your review progress. If anything's still unclear after updating, email support@cognitosystem.com and we'll help. Thanks for sticking with Cognito!

App issue

the app gives no option to chose my exam board so the revision is frankly useless. Everything is super confusing and muddled with everything leading to a subscription :(. Would not advise big waste of time! ( specifically the app )

Response from developer

Thanks for the honest feedback — and I'm sorry Cognito left you frustrated instead of helping you revise. On the most important point: the app does align to your exams. Open Settings → Learning → Exam and choose GCSE or A-Level — your suggested topics and AI-generated cards then follow the GCSE/A-Level syllabus, terminology and question style used by AQA, Edexcel and OCR. You can also name your exact board when generating (e.g. "AQA GCSE Biology — cell structure"). This was far too hard to find in 2.2.0, and we've made it much clearer since. On the subscription: creating cards, studying and spaced repetition are free, and everything you make stays yours even without Pro — Pro only adds unlimited AI generation and a few extras. If it felt like everything pushed you to pay, that's on us to fix. We'd genuinely like to make this right — email support@cognitosystem.com with your subject and board and we'll help you set it up. The latest version is also far less muddled than 2.2.0. Thanks for giving Cognito a try.
