The app never moves beyond the little whirly thing that says “searching” and never comes up with a result. Very frustrating. It’s a handy and powerful app ### 3/5 — OK but simple *2026-02-01* It is generally good enough. The identification works somewhat well (some coins are not on the list) and the paid version only removes ads and enables you to favourite more coins (>30 favourites - need Pro). So payment is not required for certain features and the free version does not limit too much. However, it is very simple and could use more features and a better UI. Failed to identify any old coins ### 2/5 — Like others, camera off-alignment *2022-03-26* Using an iPhone 13 Pro Max, the coin gets shifted upward from the target circle. If I aim so that the circle is halfway above the coin, it ends up perfectly centered. Other than this, I really like the app. ### 2/5 — Coin Identifier *2020-12-24* I have been using Banknote Identifier for a while and like it a lot. It accurately identified all the foreign bank notes in my collection. Even those with no English or identifiable words. With this experience, I thought the Coin Identifier would be a good app. Unfortunately, every time I took a picture of a coin, it moved it so only half of the coin is in the photo. No accurate identification was obtained. If this is just a glitch in the app, getting it fixed would be great. If it is something I am doing, let me know so I can correct it.
