Alternative products upon purchased does not display expiry according to Singapore timezone. If this can’t be done, at least display the remaining hours or minutes. A lot of cognitive load. ### 3/5 — Unreasonably high transaction fees *2024-12-21, version 5.2.2* The transaction fees are outrageously high—four to five times more than other platforms. With every buy and sell, money just seems to disappear. I trusted this platform because it’s a local Singaporean company, but I feel cheated. What’s worse is that I can’t even set my own buy and sell prices. Isn’t that a basic feature of any trading system? If they keep taking a margin from every angle, do they really think they’ll attract more customers? ### 2/5 — When is Portfolio coming? *2024-04-14, version 4.6.36* I’ve been waiting for Portfolio feature for a long time and it is still not here yet. My girlfriend’s version has a portfolio feature. I’ve updated my app to the latest version and yet still no portfolio feature. Sent an email to the customer support and still haven’t heard from them for the past 3 months now… what gives? 😑 ### 4/5 — App not the best *2024-02-14, version 4.6.31* I couldn’t add my bank on the app.. but managed to do it on desktop. $2 fee for fiat withdrawals. Limited functions on the app. Tried to test take out some fiat, website says needs 72 hours but funds went into bank within minutes so quite relieved. Overall still usable. Would be nice if the app shows the proper PnL on the coins all in one page. Hope they keep improving the app, as we would like to support local company. ### 1/5 — High Transaction Fee And No Limit Place Order *2023-12-25, version 4.6.28* Actually, it's very hard to make profit as the transaction fee is at 0.6% even after down from 1% which is much higher as compared to other platforms. Fee high and worst is you cannot buy or sell at your preferred price meaning you are always buying at the seller price and selling at the buyer price which will deter a lot of traders to use this platform. Definitely not recommended for traders. ### 1/5 — User friendliness is getting worst *2023-10-20, version 4.6.26* The user friendliness is getting from bad to worst. Initially can easily switching from sgd and usd from main page, now such feature was removed. Now changing currency have to go thought so many steps to get to that. I don’t know why change from from one click to multiple clicks? It is something you try to hide?? Please revert back other version is much better that this. The only improvement is money transfer, of course that is where u got the money. ### 1/5 — Laggy App & Shady Customer Support *2023-10-10, version 4.6.24* Negative sides: - Sometimes the app is laggy and unresponsive and it takes too much time to resolve the issues. Not suitable for traders. - At the moment they realise you are not using this laggy app for trading and just holding your crypto they can close your account with a note saying that you have 2-3 weeks to withdraw your crypto otherwise they will force sell it on your behalf and charge you a fee for it. Once you try moving your funds to the another platform they will put all the possible blocks in your way before you can do it. Customer support will not be helpful from that moment. Positive sides: - Easy to top up - They have not been hacked, so I guess it is ok to keep the crypto on the platform. ### 1/5 — Unable to withdraw money *2023-01-21, version 4.6.11* The app is total trash: today I ran into a problem preventing me from withdrawing money so I contacted support. They instructed me to contact another agent via Telegram but I haven’t gotten any answer since. They even marked my case as completed. The remaining money was not much but this showed how poorly customers are treated, all they cared about was profits 👎🏻 ### 1/5 — Useless customer service *2022-11-22, version 4.6.6* I wonder how does Coinhako earn its 4+ rating on Apple AppStore. This app is incapable of handling high volume transactions, often causing me to lose out, or the app just crashes. Whenever I do a transfer to another exchange, the support team will write in email to verify some details and take a lame selfie for verification purpose, when my account is already verified. Moreover, I have to write in to ask for the status of my transaction as it was pending for over 20 minutes, when the transaction is supposed to be 3-5 minutes max, which resulted in an opportunity cost. Seriously, the company needs to look into its KYC process and also invest in the whole system architecture, and not make it so cumbersome for users. And your support team should look into response time to the users. Timing is critical. ### 1/5 — App not loading *2022-10-23, version 4.6.0* What’s happening to your app or website while using IOS? Both my iPhone and iPad are not able to log in to your app and over the website? But I have no problem logging in to other platforms’ app and website using my IOS devices. Please solve this issue quickly because the longer it drags, the more I’m trading elsewhere instead of your platform. ### 1/5 — Room of improvement *2022-09-20, version 4.5.4* The overall UI is great however the chart function is really not that useful compare to other software like Binance. Love the earn function but there’s no way to auto enrol earn feature due to the limited capacity of the coin. Grab pay is good but the fee is ridiculous high. Last but not least, should compare what is the market out there and gain back the market share. ### 1/5 — Customer service is unresponsive *2022-09-07, version 4.5.3* I’ve had 2 pending BTC deposits that were stuck for more than 2 weeks. Despite multiple emails, they have not replied me with any solution other than “we are looking into it”. I hate having to raise complaints here but after tweeting, emailing to no avail, I have to resort to this. ### 3/5 — Glitch *2022-04-08, version 4.2.1* There is a new bug in the app which doesn’t let you see the prices of the currencies when you open the app before signing in with your password. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Scam *2025-07-17, version 5.5.1* Such a scam platform. Firstly (main problem), only do they take a huge sum of fees when you both buy and sell, but there is also this thing I learned called hidden spread where they take even more of your money. That is why I was wondering why when I bought coins with $500, my money immediately drops to $494 and when I sell, I lose $7 of the estimated value. Secondly, there’s so little coins available. STRONGLY DON’T RECOMMEND FOR NOT ONLY PROFESSIONALS BUT BEGINNERS ### 1/5 — Lack of features *2025-01-31, version 5.2.8* They must learn from other renowned apps for useful features. To me it’s very simple application with limited features. I would request to please incorporate automation tool to buy and sell at defined target price. ### 1/5 — Worse after update *2025-01-19, version 5.2.5* 1. Price doesn’t refresh promptly. 2. Crash everytime when there is a volatile market, ends up missed the good chance to trade. ### 1/5 — App will not work during high volatility *2024-11-06, version 5.0.8* While these guys have made some improvements to the user interface over the years, this app will not work when markets are moving. If you are looking to buy or sell at a certain price, the app will suddenly stop working (and I’m guessing this is because a lot of people are on the app at the same time). So I guess what I am saying is, what is the point of using an app that can’t even let you buy/sell when you want to? Their fees are the most expensive and their app does not even work when you really want it to. ### 1/5 — Bad User experience *2024-09-29, version 4.6.54* Extremely bad user experience. All the transactions done on coin hako are also extremely slow ### 1/5 — Unacceptable Experience with Coinhako - Hidden Fees and Poor Customer Service *2024-09-05, version 4.6.53* Title: Unacceptable Experience with Coinhako - Hidden Fees, Poor Customer Service, and Unfair Withdrawal Limits Rating: 1/5 I'm extremely disappointed with Coinhako's service. Despite initially appearing to charge lower fees, I discovered a $200 discrepancy in my balance without any explanation. When I inquired about the current rate and my coin's value, the customer service team claimed it was due to the "selling price" - a fee that wasn't disclosed until yesterday. I find it unacceptable that: - Hidden fees were applied without my knowledge or consent - Customer service failed to provide clear explanations or solutions - The issue was passed to another department without follow-up or resolution - Additional fees (23 cents) would be charged when selling coins, contradicting the current rate - There is no limit for depositing, but withdrawals are capped at $25,000 daily and $100,000 monthly, which is unfair and completely untrustworthy I no longer trust Coinhako due to these issues. I hope they address these problems and improve their transparency and customer service. ### 1/5 — Keep my money after I deposit *2024-03-17, version 4.6.33* I deposited $5k from my husband's bank account and your team told me I need to wait 2-5 working days. then i want to ask you to hold my $5k for 5 days and do you have pay interest rate? and your team asked me to provide a certificate, I also provided it but they still asked to wait, so let me ask, is your team not capable of working? Then next time, how dare top up more money to a team that can't work? ### 1/5 — Time to switch another exchange *2024-01-30, version 4.6.31* Always take a transaction time 4hrs up to 2days for sending crypto even you send it to the same (own wallet with another exchange)address. If the market crashes and our profit gets losses who going to bare? Not happy with their service. Worst customer support. I didn’t recommend it to anyone ### 1/5 — Crashes every time the crypto market crashes *2024-01-03, version 4.6.29* Only reason I have been using this app was that it is local, and I’ve been using it for several years now. It has way higher fees than every other crypto trading platforms. Its only redeeming factor is that it has a simple interface, great for beginners. But what goes, if the app conveniently crashes every time the crypto market crashes? Most other trading platforms still work in such situations, but conveniently or not, Coinhako doesn’t. The app is easy to use and speedy to do transactions with. Getting records from the platform is easy to do and can simplify your records. Alerted customer service and received a reply within 15 minutes. A solution was provided and I was generally ok with what was recommended. However, what I did not expect was the constant update from the customer service officer in ensuring that Coinhako’s service time was looking into my issue. After a week, my original issue was solved and I was pleasantly surprised to know that my original issue has been fixed.
