### 1/5 — Serious collectors- AVOID

*2026-04-26, version 1.1.2*

The software is at best a late alpha version. Many inconsistencies. Shows mint when identifying, but later panels show mint as N/A. Misidentification of American Women quarters. Still doesn’t have 2026 coins at end of April. Often shows previously scanned coin image for new coins. Or shows a placeholder when an image was there et scan time! Devs need better QA and more resources.

### 1/5 — Wrong Information and Value Amount.

*2026-03-26, version 1.1.2*

I don’t know who rated this app with four stars. The only things this app does correctly is snap a photo (not a good one at that) and charge you for the subscription.
Anyone opting to use this app with a subscription, beware. Those who have left a rating over one star is either paid to do so or is delusional. To the app maker,
Don’t bother responding with an excuse. Because I didn’t pay for it. If I had, that would be a different story.

### 1/5 — Coinknow is bad

*2026-03-21, version 1.1.2*

Every coin I scanned it would tell me what it was but to get value it stated it wasn’t in data base

### 1/5 — No help

*2026-03-16, version 1.1.2*

Want to know the error. It says it’s a regular dime. Can’t photograph other side.

### 3/5 — Works fine once you figure out the “bugs”

*2026-03-15, version 1.1.2*

Update: I discovered that if you ignore the initial message about the photo and just flip the coin over and take another photo … the app works.

Original message: Downloaded app and took over 50 photos. App did not like any of the photos. Tried different lighting, different backgrounds, and different coins. Nothing worked. Canceled subscription (free trial) within 10 minutes.

Zero stars if that was an option.

### 1/5 — Waste of Time

*2026-03-10*

Downloaded app and took over 50 photos. App did not like any of the photos. Tried different lighting, different backgrounds, and different coins. Nothing worked. Canceled subscription (free trial) within 10 minutes.

Zero stars if that was an option.

**Developer response:** Hi, we're truly sorry for the frustration. We’re currently refining our image recognition to better handle different lighting and backgrounds. We would love to make this right—please reach out to our support team so we can investigate why the app struggled with your specific device.

Would you be open to sharing a sample photo with us to help improve our detection?

### 1/5 — Wouldn’t stop asking me to write a review

*2026-03-06, version 1.1.2*

This stupid thing would not stop asking me to write a review so here you go and buy wouldn’t stop asking I mean within the first 90 seconds and asked me twice like for crying out loud. Let me try using the app first but because you’re an idiot I’m gonna give you one star

### 1/5 — Wrong year

*2026-02-23, version 1.1.1*

Was a graded ms67 2025 shield cent

### 1/5 — Terrible accuracy

*2026-02-18, version 1.1.1*

Almost all of my silver dollars come out MS when many are clearly AU or worse. Since you can’t correct it manually the rest of the feedback and data is useless. It has never identified an error coin, even when I used a certified 40% off center. Also, it constantly gets the mint mark wrong.

### 1/5 — Poor functionality

*2026-01-26, version 1.1.0*

Very poor functionality, camera interface, etc

### 1/5 — Not good

*2026-01-20, version 1.1.0*

First coin I tried to identify - tried 4 times - adjusting light but did not get the year right on any of the tries so deleted

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Consistently misidentiifies

*2026-08-11, version 2.0.0*

Consistently misidentifies coin values.

### 1/5 — High grading and valuation issues

*2026-08-03, version 2.0.0*

Such a great concept, but improvements are needed. In general, I found grading is too high. Lighting plays such a key role. I’ve tried emailing support but never get a response at least yet. The valuation does not seem to be consistent between grades for the same coin. Lighting is not a factor on this particular issue. For example, a 1944S Lincoln penny is valued at $17 in VG (8) condition and $1 in F(12) condition. Another example would be a 1955-D Lincoln penny in VF condition you value at $330 when it’s really only worth about $0.25. I wonder how many high valuations I have wrong because I didn’t double check the value generated by your app against an AI tool. Additionally, if you scan a US two cent and three cent piece, in both cases, it returns with no space between two cent and three cent names. So it can’t find the coin. If you manually add a space (twocents vs two cents), it finds the coin category, but you’ve lost the photo and all the relevant details from the prior scan. Finally, you really need to add search criteria and filter criteria to the collection you allow people to build. There is no easy or good way to find a specific coin without manually going through each coin you have scanned into the collection. That frankly is not usable.

### 1/5 — Inaccurate

*2026-07-24, version 2.0.0*

Told coins had significant value. They do not according to a reputable local coin appraiser.

### 1/5 — Not accurate

*2026-07-20, version 2.0.0*

Does not pick up privy mark.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-07-04, version 1.1.2*

Constantly wrong dates and identifications. Never finds errors.

### 1/5 — To many review requests interrupting constantly

*2026-06-19, version 1.1.2*

Annoying

### 1/5 — Kept giving the same response

*2026-06-07, version 1.1.2*

Every time I checked a penny especially one in decent shape- it gives the correct response- but when I would do the back of the coin every response was that the coin was a “ wheatie” from the early 1900’s. Had the same issue with Roosevelt dimes.

### 1/5 — I mean it is a joke it didn’t work at all

*2026-06-05, version 1.1.2*

This app did not work even a little bit it didn’t scan a single coin correctly and it costs money to scan them

### 1/5 — Not worth paying for

*2026-05-05, version 1.1.2*

Needs improvement

### 1/5 — Waste of my money

*2026-04-30, version 1.1.2*

Wish I hadn't purchased Just a waste of my money another thing that takes your money and no response or no difference from the free app

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — First time user

*2026-07-15, version 2.0.0*

Very easy to find the value of coins. Estimated value is spot on. Easy to use and thus far, no cost. You can go pro for a fee.

### 5/5 — Review

### 5/5 — Coin know

*2026-03-06, version 1.1.2*

Great app!!

### 5/5 — value check

*2026-01-26, version 1.1.0*

usefull

### 5/5 — One issue

*2026-01-08, version 1.0*

All around this app is the best just one minor thing is the zooming in and out could be better navigation wise because it’s hard to get a good position for capturing the image

### 3/5 — Wrong

*2026-08-09, version 2.0.0*

Wrong

### 3/5 — Syncing phones

*2026-06-26, version 1.1.2*

The app is good, but when I tried to sync the apps on mine and my boyfriends phones, it deleted his collections.

### 3/5 — Great concept but inconsistent

*2026-06-19, version 1.1.2*

Every photo of the same coin gets me a different answer. One was $350 another response of the same coin was $4 so??

### 3/5 — Camera doesn’t take pictures well.

*2026-06-04, version 1.1.2*

Haven’t gotten to get a good picture . Then , you’re wanting more money for a different membership that was never explained really !

### 3/5 — My Opinion

*2026-03-18, version 1.1.2*
