Once I got used to it, I felt comfortable using it. I’m now deleting the app because I got a notification about winning bitcoins and to follow a link. A car wash app wouldn’t send that legitimately. I don’t want my financials connected to it. ### 2/5 — App design pretty shady *2025-09-28, version 2.1.6* Useful app but it is designed in a way to make you either forget its running (and charging you) or make it harder for you to finalize session. 1) when starting time, after you lock your phone the app is set up to self minimize. This way, when you unlock the phone the app is closed. This not only makes you waste time opening it again, but makes it more likely you forget about it. Noted that this ONLY happens during a paying session and not on other app pages. 2) when finalizing, buttons are purposefully designed in a way you make you inadvertently continue session rather than ending. I know it’s the app not working and not the car wash itself because everyone else was able to wash their car. Meanwhile the app declined my credit card twice, and another card once. I stupidly decided to upload $15 into the app, which it let me then when trying to start a wash “using credits” instead of Apple Pay, it conveniently said this service is unavailable - so the app stole $15 from me and doesn’t work. 0 stars. ### 1/5 — Beware *2023-12-06, version 2.1.2* got charged $1,700 for a single use at a carwash i EVENTUALLY got my money back they claimed it was due to my bank i would be more understanding if it was $50-100, but $1,700 they need some type of limiter on their system something to prevent that from happening. Nope.. don’t use this app. ### 1/5 — Buggy, unfinished app *2026-02-03, version 2.1.8* When under the “locations” menu, it shows your location as a green circle and green pins around you as the car wash locations. However only the closest pin is enlarged, and you’re unable to click on any other ones which essentially renders the locations map useless (have to manually go through a list to find where each car wash is). Additionally there is a fake location which I drove to once, it’s the one listed on Capitol Hill. Tons of reviews of that specific car wash asking developers to take it down as a pin. ### 1/5 — Crypto wallet phishing notification *2026-01-07, version 2.1.8* They sent me a notification claiming I’d won 1,000 USDT and included a link. I didn’t click it. The link looked sketchy and the message tried to get me to connect a crypto wallet. Do not trust this app. No reputable company send “you won crypto” notifications with random .shop links or ask you to connect a wallet to collect a prize. Please beware ### 1/5 — Creepy location tracking *2025-12-12, version 2.1.8* They don’t need your location. Scanning the QR code works perfectly fine. But the way they constantly interrupt the user experience to demand your location is so aggressive. Makes me think these developers are really in the business of selling your data—not providing a better way to pay for car washes. That suspect and creepy. ### 1/5 — Problem getting verification code *2025-09-10, version 2.1.6* 60 days later…still no fix! ——— Sounds like this is an ongoing problem based on reviews from the past several months. Updated the app and had to log in again. Entered my phone number to request a verification code for login and instead got an error code saying “failed to sent text via Twilio.” That’s what you get for using open source tools like Twilio - bugs that linger. So now the app is useless, I can’t earn rewards points and will likely find a different car wash. Which is a shame since I’ve been using this one for YEARS and it’s very convenient. ### 1/5 — Scammed me *2025-09-06, version 2.1.5* After I used the $5 in free credits for signing up I used my card for ONE wash cycle just to finish rinsing off the soap and got charged $15!!!!! Nasty business! Before discovering Coinless I didn’t have a preference for either wash. This app has been great because I now earn free washes for visiting the car wash. I even go through the car wash bay and start the wash without ever even rolling down my window or touching anything! Pretty cool! #CovidFree I once had a minor issue where a service didn’t start (every other time it’s been very reliable). I called the support team, and within minutes they had refunded my account, listened to my feedback to improve the app, and were very friendly and professional.
