Coinomi is a solid non-custodial wallet that gives users full control over their private keys, which is a big plus for anyone serious about security and ownership. I’ve used it to manage multiple assets including Bitcoin and newer tokens like Validity (VAL), and the multi-chain support works smoothly without feeling cluttered.

One feature I appreciate is the built-in swap functionality, which makes it easy to exchange assets without leaving the app. The ability to buy and sell crypto directly is also convenient, especially for users who want an all-in-one solution instead of juggling multiple platforms.

The interface is straightforward, though it could feel slightly dated compared to some newer wallets. Still, it’s reliable, and transactions across different blockchains are handled efficiently. Overall, Coinomi is a dependable choice for anyone looking for a flexible, non-custodial wallet that supports a wide range of cryptocurrencies and practical features like swap, buy, and sell crypto in one place.

### 1/5 — Coinomi Wallet on iOS: A Glacial Relic in a Lightning-Fast Crypto World – 1/5 Stars

*2025-10-09, version 1.64.0*

In the breakneck arena of cryptocurrency, where new tokens sprout like weeds and blockchain innovations evolve by the hour, Coinomi’s iOS app stands as a monument to complacency – a dusty museum piece masquerading as a “trusted all-in-one wallet.” As of October 2025, if you’re holding anything beyond the stale staples like Bitcoin or Ethereum, prepare for bitter disappointment. This wallet doesn’t just lag; it fossilizes your assets, leaving you stranded in 2023 while the market races ahead without you. I’ve poured hours into it on my iPhone, only to emerge frustrated, outdated, and questioning why I ever trusted this non-custodial nightmare with my digital fortune.
Let’s start with the elephant in the room – or rather, the T-Rex that’s been extinct for years: asset support. Coinomi brags about “10,000+ assets across 50+ blockchains” on its website, a number that’s been inflated like a Ponzi scheme since at least 2024. But try adding something fresh, like a hot Layer-2 token from a rising DeFi protocol or even a mid-tier meme coin that’s captured the zeitgeist. Good luck. The app’s “import unlimited tokens” feature is a cruel joke – it works for the basics (ERC-20 relics, sure), but anything requiring actual integration? Forget it. You’re left manually fiddling with custom derivations or, worse, exporting to a competitor because Coinomi’s developers apparently decided that “continuous integration of key altcoins” means “we’ll add one every leap year.” In a world where wallets like Phantom or MetaMask snap up support for Solana’s wild ecosystem overnight, Coinomi’s refusal to update feels like deliberate sabotage. Your portfolio? It’s a time capsule, rotting with unsupported ghosts while you watch rivals thrive.
And the updates? Oh, the updates. The iOS app’s latest version, 1.51.0, dropped sometime in mid-2025 – if you can call a lazy bug-squish an “update.” No fanfare, no changelog screaming about new chains or tokens; just a whisper of “DigibyteID patched” and “bugs be gone,” as if that’s supposed to thrill anyone. Compare that to the Android side, which at least pretends to care with version 1.61.0, or the shiny new desktop app that’s finally limping out of beta. iOS users? We’re the redheaded stepchildren, force-fed half-baked promises of “refactoring the transaction history” that never arrive. User reviews echo this purgatory: one-star rants about transactions vanishing into the ether, interfaces that lag like a dial-up modem, and crashes that make you pray your funds aren’t next. “It won’t even let me open the app without crashing,” one reviewer wailed, a sentiment I share after my third force-quit in a row. Support? A black hole of canned responses and radio silence – because why bother when your users are too busy rage-uninstalling to notice?
Security, that sacred cow Coinomi loves to parade, is the thinnest veil over this mess. Sure, private keys stay local, and they’ve patched that embarrassing 2019 seed-generation bug (which, let’s be real, should’ve never happened in a “secure” wallet). No major hacks reported, they crow – but in 2025, with quantum threats looming and phishing evolving daily, “no breaches yet” is code for “we’re one lazy update away from disaster.” The app’s clunky UI practically invites errors: delayed transaction confirmations that leave you second-guessing sends, a seed backup process that’s finicky on iOS, and zero proactive alerts for chain forks or upgrades. It’s non-custodial, yes – meaning when it fails, you’re 100% on the hook. I’ve sweated bullets watching a simple ETH transfer hang for minutes, the balance not updating until I hammered refresh like a caveman. In crypto, where a single fat-finger can vaporize your stack, this isn’t security; it’s Russian roulette with extra steps.
Usability? A farce. The interface, untouched since the app’s 2018 debut, feels like it was designed by a committee of Luddites. Navigating 1,770 “supported” coins (half of which are defunct) is a scroll-fest through alphabet soup, with no smart search or portfolio prioritization. Swaps via Changelly? Glacially slow, riddled with hidden fees, and capped to the same outdated pairs. Want to connect to a DApp? The built-in browser chugs like it’s loading on a flip phone, and Web3 logins fizzle half the time. For iPhone users, it’s even worse – no seamless sync with the desktop tease, no haptic feedback magic, just a flat, uninspired slab that drains your battery faster than a proof-of-work mine. Beginners will drown in the options; pros will flee to anything with a pulse.
Coinomi isn’t just bad – it’s insultingly bad. In an ecosystem where free, open-source alternatives like Exodus or Trust Wallet leapfrog ahead with real-time integrations and zero-fee swaps, Coinomi clings to its “millions of users” like a sinking ship’s captain. They tout privacy (IP anonymization? Cute, but try evading chain analysis in 2025), yet deliver a product that’s functionally obsolete. If you’re on iOS and value your sanity – let alone your sats – uninstall now. Migrate to literally anything else. Coinomi: where your assets go to die a slow, unsupported death. You’ve been warned.

### 5/5 — BEST APP EVER!!!!

*2026-07-23, version 1.67.3*

Digi-ID is hands down one of the coolest things about Coinomi!!! Instead of typing usernames and passwords, you just sign in with a crypto signature 🤯 same way you’d send a transaction. No credentials stored anywhere, way less chance of getting breached. 5 Stars 🌟 from me 👏🏽

### 5/5 — Digi-ID on Coinomi

*2026-07-23, version 1.67.3*

One of my favorite features of Coinomi Wallet is Digi-ID, a cryptographic authenticator that allows you to sign into websites just like signing a crypto transaction—no username or password needed, mitigating the risk of data breaches.

I also love the wide selection of supported coins. As a fan of UTXO chains, I appreciate that the wallet includes Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, and DigiByte. I'm excited to see even more of my favorite projects added, and from what I hear, additional chains will be supported soon.

Overall, it's a very cool wallet. I really like the built-in swap and exchange features, the coin management tools, and the ability to import and export private keys. Love it, love it, love it!"

### 5/5 — Coinomi Wallwt

### 5/5 — Noice

*2026-07-08, version 1.67.3*

Self custody, NFT eligible , rewards , “in wallet “ swaps , would add browser to it, would improve UI visuals but it’s important as safety

### 5/5 — Go-to wallet

*2026-06-26, version 1.67.3*

I’ve been using Coinomi for years. I couldn’t ask for a more reliable app and wallet for my crypto. Super simple to use.
