From the few months I have used this app I have found it in general meeting my needs in cataloging my collection. With that said there is definitely room for improvement. First and foremost identifying fake coins. I tested the app with a fake 1994 5oz China Panda silver plated. The coin app failed to recognize the obvious flaws in the fake ( eyes curve, the difference in the 1994 curvature, the different patterns in the tree background ext. ). That AI cannot be trusted to identify a fake so do not trust it. Second is the lackluster updates to bullion coin value that still have not been adjusted. Almost all 2026 coinage has not been updated. It’s almost September so this should have been done get to work! 3rd Grading is way off. The AI does not seem to be able to adjust or identify to toning in its algorithms and this can alter a coins value significantly. Environmental damage causing a dark or uneven toning or even gunk on a coin does not seem to alter how the AI grades a coin. I give this coin app a rating of 3 for the help it has given cataloging and ease of use for general purposes. ### 5/5 — Great Fun *2026-08-17, version 2.22.2* I really like this app. I got the free trial, but I’m gonna have no problem paying for it. I also clicked on notify before renewal. It stated renewal was on 9/22/26 but on 8/24/26 they hit my account for $43.95. I was trying this app & Coin Chat. I requested a refund and they sent me to a third party billing company who ignored my refund requests. Bait and switch scam. Never used it but was still billed. I set a reminder to cancel the trial period as I will likely never use this app again. Imagine my surprise when I’m charged $39.99 before that trial has ended and am unable to be refunded.
