Would love to know a little more of the detail when brushing, but cool technology. Brush occasionally loses connection, but I’m learning how to help it. Only criticism with the app is that it doesn’t refresh from one portion to the next very easily and you can’t do a “pull down to refresh” (ex. I completed a badge and got the notification on one page, but when I went to my award summary page, it still had the previous level/how many more points I needed before I completed the activity) quitting and restarting didn’t help either. It updated by the next day, but this has happened multiple times and is annoying. I wanna work up my points for that new toothbrush for my husband!! Haha ### 4/5 — Watch app *2021-09-27, version 1.15.4* I got this app to use with my Apple Watch. It is a great timer. The app breaks your teeth up into 6 sectors and has you brush each section for 20 seconds with a chime and shake in between each. This great,BUT I would like to request you also add a chime and a shake after the final section, this way I don’t have to look at my watch to know that I am done. Thanks for a great app, and I am looking forward to a greater one. ### 4/5 — Decent enough *2021-07-10, version 1.15.4* The Colgate app is pretty straight forward, and I have to say actually completely altered the way I brush for the better. I cringed at the price tag for a while I the tooth brush. However as someone who’s been plagued with dental work and cavities. It keeps alerting me that I am brushing at the wrong angle but if I did it how it wanted I would be brushing right on top of my brackets. ### 4/5 — Great toothbrush *2020-06-14, version 1.15.1* The toothbrush itself is really great and gentle, I usually avoid brushing my front two teeth because even my philips and a manual toothbrush are too hard and hurt my gums, this one does not! The app isn’t the best like I’ll cover an entire area but the % coverage doesn’t increase. I think that’s just because it’s a brand new system so it’ll be better in future updates! Overall I like this more than my old $200 philips electric toothbrush ### 4/5 — Needs a new mode for people who don’t have Colgate connect brush *2020-06-04, version 1.15.1* I’m needing a way to play the games but don’t have the brush for the app and want a new mode for people who don’t have the brush like if they can’t afford it or the kid with the Colgate toothbrush’s parents won’t let them have the toothbrush or it’d too far away for them to get to the store and buy it. There should be a mode called non electric toothbrush that would instead detect the toothbrush and it’s movements to allow them to play the brushing minigame as they brush their teeth nice and clean! No hate added! Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. When I first started using it, I thought it worked great. After using it for some time, I realized even though I wasn’t being notified while brushing, my angle and my speed were scored really low. I called the Colgate Hum support to get some advice on what I should do to improve the situation. Even though the rep I spoke to was really nice, he told me I would be getting an email with a reply advising what I could do to fix the situation. That was several weeks ago and I still have no reply. I really wanted to like this toothbrush. However, it leaves much to be desired. 😕 ### 1/5 — New app update awful *2022-03-08, version 3.0.10* I was happy with the previous app layout and relative simplicity. The new update makes it so confusing with a million different things that you are forced to respond to or they won’t leave the screen. I feel that I am been forced to by a new brush in order for it to work with this new app. I am now looking for another toothbrush that will just give me the info I am looking for and not a circus of options. ### 1/5 — Save your money *2020-03-25, version 1.15.1* The only reason I gave it one star is because it would not let me send with -0-. This toothbrush and the app are garbage. Continually disconnects and has to be reinstalled as a new toothbrush, today it would not turn on after being fully charged yesterday. I have not even had it for three months yet. For what it cost it should at least work for a year! At a minimum. Save your money and go to the drug store and buy a power toothbrush for $15. You will be better off. ### 1/5 — Colgate now wants my personal information *2019-09-28, version 1.9* I hadn’t used the ap with my toothbrush for a while and now it is asking for my name, birthday and e mail address to use this. I’m not sure why this is necessary and don’t give out my info. I’ll continue to use the toothbrush but I’m pretty disappointed in this requirement to use the ap. UPDATE-Colgate reached out to discuss this and gave me an 800 number to call, I called in but then I had to speak to AP support and of course all techs were busy so they said they would have them call me back, 4 days later and I have heard nothing. ### 3/5 — Good idea, but having trouble connecting toothbrush *2020-06-18, version 1.15.1* This seems really cool, but while my toothbrush works with some of the options it still does not work with the brushing coach option and I can’t figure out why as it works with the brush coach+. Hoping to get it figured out but I’ve spent an hour already trying to get it to work. ### 3/5 — LOVE/HATE RELATIONSHIP WITH THIS APP *2019-12-30, version 1.14* I have a love/hate relationship with this app, the toothbrush and it’s app are used for my son, in hopes he’ll be able to brush and be monitored on his own, but the issue is sometimes the Bluetooth connection doesn’t connect, or the app needs to be deleted and reinstalled, thus defeating the purpose of why we bought this, for those considering it, buy at your own risk ### 4/5 — brushing is no longer a chore! *2023-01-12, version 3.1.2* I got one for my kid and she loves it! She actually gets excited to brush her teeth and fun to watch. So I got one. For adults it’s very informative and helpful, not critical or hard to use. FYI- you can’t have kid’s version and adult’s version on the same app. Make sure you do the adults, the kids with a different email account or it won’t sync correctly. But definitely worth the buy. ### 4/5 — Love brushing my teeth *2022-06-12, version 3.1.2* I have adhd and have always struggled with brushing my teeth good and the right amount. I have never had a cavity but always get feedback from my dentist that I need to brush better in order to get plaque off my teeth and to keep better care of my gums. This app changed that and my dentist told me that I am doing an amazing job. I would recommend h to us app to anyone and the kids app to all the kids. The only reason I wouldn’t give 5 stars is the lack of activities that are in the app. Other than that I love it ### 4/5 — No credit for offline brushing Fixed! *2022-05-11, version 3.1.2* The new app update doesn’t give credit for offline brushing and doesn’t seem to be tracking brush usage. Very disappointed with this change. Update: The following app release fixed the problem of no credit for offline brushing. It helps guide and show you what areas you need more coverage to brush. It knows which area you’re brushing and also tells you to tilt your brush to get in the exact spot you need for whatever area you’re brushing. But the neat thing about this app is that every time you brush you collect Colgate points to spend on Colgate is super dope in my book. LOVE THIS APP!!! However, now that i’ve used it for several months I’m certain that my brushing habits are significantly better!
