This app is so inclusive of all things you may need to know to set you on the right learning path for your college classes. So useful and extremely easy to learn and understand. ### 5/5 — Killer App! *2015-01-25, version 5.4* I highly recommend this app, particularly if you're rusty on your algebra! I'm using this to study up before taking the CLEP for College Algebra. After trying Khan Academy and some other apps/online methods, this one truly takes the cake. Take the lessons, do the practice, self-test, challenge, and then don't forget to print out the documents, where you can take another test that isn't multiple choice! The app is concise yet still comprehensive. So if you want to learn algebra and uncover your potential......select install! ### 4/5 — Not for haters of comic sans. *2013-11-08, version 5.4* This app is a wonderful help for anyone taking college algebra. This app is also the worst app in the world due to its excessive use of the font Comic Sans. For the uninitiated, Comic Sans is the most overly used, and most awful font currently in use on this planet. Things that are similar in awfulness to Comic Sans: -Wood Paneling on PT Cruisers. -That stuff you drink right before you have a colonoscopy. -Spilling your entire container of Dunkin' Donuts coffee grounds on the kitchen floor. -The word "Moist". -My karaoke skills after a few tonic adult beverages. This app would literally be perfect if Comic Sans was removed entirely from this app. It could also use a little polishing on the interface to make it feel less like I'm filling out a hospital form sometimes, but for real, it's a great app. Just please do something about the Comic Sans thing. Please. ### 4/5 — So helpful, don't waste your money on a different app *2013-10-31, version 5.4* This app for algebra is by far the best I have tried. The guy is very methodical without any wasting any time. Very clear, concise explanations and the practice problems have the option to see the problem worked out with or without his guidance. The only complaint I have is that he does not show different ways of writing solutions (like set notation and interval notation using brackets etc.) which makes it difficult for me to apply what I have learned to my schools computer course (mathxl). Also, there could be more problem types described with certain material like absolute value of inequalities, as there are many kinds listed in my quizzes that he doesn't teach. ### 5/5 — Great App *2013-10-12, version 5.4* Easy to understand, and will give me a huge jump start for the college algebra class I have to take next semester! ### 5/5 — LIFE SAVER!!! *2013-09-08, version 5.4* I downloaded this for my wife who is taking college algebra. She is going into nursing and it has been some amount of years since she had algebra in school. So naturally she was stressing out BIG TIME! She said that her prof talks way above her head and that the couple of times she stopped him to get more of an explanation, he was condescending and short with her. So she now just sits, quietly, in the class and stresses out even more. I downloaded this app onto her iPhone and she found the type of problem that was stumping her at the time and I could tell by looking at her that she was having an ah-ha moment. Any questions I had for my teachers is answered through this. Love the self tests on this app too, helps a lot in terms of practice before an exam. The algebra, accuplacer and this one. They are all amazing! Great in depth teaching that is clear for anyone to understand. I love that it comes with quizzes and worksheets. The reason why it only gets three stars in my opinion is it doesn't go far enough into college algebra. Almost everything found in this algebra is found in the regular algebra. I have not performed complex math in 30 years. I have been using this app daily for a couple of weeks and am finding it to be very well done. It pestered me for money before (noted in original 3-star review) but this has resolved for the most part. The lesson delivery is very well done. (The first instructor is the best). There are some odd mistakes in some of the tests and practice problems from time to time (does not simplify all the way or switches to a random variable midway through the problem). I recommend some embedded links for more help if needed. I really look forward to the lessons each day. It seems to be an exceptional bargain. The developer responded to my gripe and I thought I would return the courtesy. This app is exactly what I needed. Thank you!!! FIRST REVIEW: The material and delivery are easily worth $150 or more. That’s not a problem. What screws this app up completely is the prompt to pay that pops up every time you toggle away from the app or change to a different part of a lesson. THIS HAPPENS EVEN AFTER PAYING!! You have to tell it each time to “restore purchase” only to have it snap you to the home screen and you lose your place. It is a terrible interruption in your train of thought and just rude!!! And… no customer service in the app. I go back and forth between “this app is amazing” to “this app is a pile of crap” in seconds. STOP THE POPUP!!! **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. We're working on the update to fix the issue so keep an eye on the app store for the latest update. I never thought I would understand math.
