### 4/5 — Nice update

*2026-07-24*

Really like the new layout of everything, any chance you’d add a lifetime purchase option? Also the dark variants of the skylander amiibo are missing, hoping you could get those added in. Would you also consider adding the Power-Up bands? They all scan as amiibo, also the cereal box?

### 1/5 — Deleted all my data

*2026-07-19*

New update deleted all data and you can only add 10 amiibo before hitting a paywall. Bye bye.

**Developer response:** I understand your frustration, however it was either this or close the app down. I had to spend significant time building out a new platform that ensure it’s always up to date, server costs, domain costs, etc. If it was free for me it would be free for you as well.

### 1/5 — Paid Subscription Now? Really?

*2026-07-19*

This app was fine, hasn’t been updated for a while. Finally it was, but now it’s a paid subscription for keeping track of your collection, so don’t even bother downloading it. Without the paid plan you can only have 10 things marked off total. Dumbest change ever and no point in keeping it now.

**Developer response:** I understand your frustration, however it was either this or close the app down. I had to spend significant time building out a new platform that ensure it’s always up to date, server costs, domain costs, etc. If it was free for me it would be free for you as well.

### 1/5 — Missing Amiibo, Removed Amiibo, and Feature Complaints

*2026-07-19*

All amiibo released after 2022 are missing.

This app used to include amiibo cards, but all amiibo cards are no longer listed. I am left wondering why they were removed.

Version 12.0.0 mentions something about supporting accounts. I do not see it in the app.

From the sounds of things, you have to pay a subscription just to back up your collection and sync it across multiple devices. I am sick and tired of subscriptions.

The preview section on this app’s store page shows what the app looked like before version 12.0.0.

Version 12.0.0 says that the app will always be up to date. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the app is still missing amiibo. In fact, amiibo cards are no longer listed in the app.

I do not recommend this app.

Let me know which Amiibo is missing. I’ll get it updated asap! I’ll also be adding a feature where users can request features, etc

### 3/5 — Cool, but outdated

*2026-04-08, version 11.0.0*

The idea is great, but if it updated it would be at its best. It only goes to 2023 amiibo at the most.

### 4/5 — Please add the new amiibos

*2026-02-01, version 11.0.0*

I like it but it needs the new amiibo

### 1/5 — Outdated

*2025-12-17, version 11.0.0*

This needs to be updated to include all amiibos

### 2/5 — Update?

*2025-12-07, version 11.0.0*

This app is pretty much perfect, it has all amiibo and cards but it hasn’t been updated since 2022 so it’s very behind on what amiibo there are making it hard for people to keep track of if they have the newer amiibo.

### 1/5 — Out of date

*2025-11-05*

App hasn’t been updated in YEARS so dozens of new amiibos are now missing from the app.

### 1/5 — ???

*2025-10-12, version 11.0.0*

When are you going to update the app? There are a lot of amiibos that are not in here

### 1/5 — UPDATE!!!

*2025-09-27*

I gave another (!) 1 star review hoping the developer would notice and update the app, but that didn’t work last time and probably won’t work this time either. I guess it’s about time to delete this app and use a different one, or maybe just use my own spreadsheet since this seems to happen with a lot of collection-type apps. A few years of support, then gets abandoned. I wish Nintendo had their own official Amiibo app. That’d be awesome.

### 1/5 — Extremely outdated

*2025-09-22*

Years ago I paid for this app to not have ads and they haven’t updated it in 3 years. There’s been many new amiibo releases since then, especially with the launch of Nintendo Switch 2, and they’ve clearly abandoned this app. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR APP DEVELOPERS

### 4/5 — Please do another update

*2025-08-31, version 11.0.0*

I love this app but it has updated in years. I would say 5 stars but they never update

### 1/5 — I don’t like anymore

*2025-08-14, version 11.0.0*

I have been using the app for a while and I just got Gannon from tears of the kingdom and it doesn’t have it on and it’s been out for less than 3 years and it’s still not on the app

### 3/5 — Please update

*2025-07-26, version 11.0.0*

It’s been years since the last update several amiibo have come out since then. I like the app but it needs to be updated

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Ripped Away Paid for Features

*2026-08-12*

I previously purchased this app to remove ads, and after YEARS of not updating the list of available amiibo, it ripped away all my paid features to then tried to resell them as a paid monthly subscription. Absolutely unacceptable and anti consumer. Do not support this.

### 1/5 — Lifetime purchase

*2026-07-26*

Love the new format and I’m totally ok with paying for an app that provides value to me but a subscription service is where I draw the line.

**Developer response:** I appreciate the feedback. Question though… Who pays the independent developer to maintain, update features, server fees, etc?

### 1/5 — Mostly unnecessary changes just to justify monetization

*2026-07-24*

The app previously held your collection locally just fine. The complete overhaul resulted in the complete loss of previous collections (frustrating but whatever). It’s not like there’s a record breaking amount of amiibo being released (although I am happy we are still getting them) so adding to the app periodically shouldn’t have been much work but now we have to pay for a glorified excel sheet that’s missing multiple amiibo/cards that I’m pretty sure the old app had. So pay money for a library less complete than the old unupdated app. Deleting the app.

**Developer response:** Unfortunately with the change in development language it wasn’t possible for retain the collection data. The previous app was very painful to update… especially if it was adding a new category. It wasn’t worth hours and hours of development to keep it updated, which is why updating pretty much stopped. This app is much easier to maintain and build new features that users ask for. Sorry to see you go, however it was this or shut down the app completely.

### 1/5 — Ruined a great app for a quick buck

*2026-07-22*

Don’t bother using this when amiivault not only does what it does better, but it also does more, and is free. Sad to see this app end up like this

**Developer response:** It was either this or shut down the app completely. Enough users have asked us to go this route to make it worthwhile. Sorry to see you go, however I’m confident in this new model and the app that this will become.

### 1/5 — Deleted data

*2026-07-21*

The new UI is great but as someone else said, can only have 10 marked, lost all previous data and now you have to pay for it

**Developer response:** Unfortunately due to legacy tech stack.. it wasn’t possible to retain collection data. We had to start over. I understand it’s frustrating, however the trade off for having a system that’s much easier to update and add features to is worth it.

In terms of payment. It’s only $1 a month or $7 per year

The reality is that I would rather have 100 users, which covers the costs of server, domain, development than have thousands of free users that I’m losing money and funding out of pocket. It was either this or shut the app down entirely.

### 1/5 — Finally updated and it wiped out everything

*2026-07-20*

After a few years there's finally an update to the app. However, it has two fatal flaws. First, it completely wiped out my existing collection. Second, the free ad supported model is gone, and replaced with an annual subscription, otherwise you're severely limited to 10 items. An annual subscription for a collection tracker? Nope. Fortunately, there are other alternatives available that actually have been kept up-to-date.

**Developer response:** Hello,

Totally understand your frustration. It wasn’t possible to maintain users previous collection due to technology changes.

With the new app, it’s far easier to keep updated and add new features… so the previous issue of minimal updates is solved. However the cost for the server, hosting, etc means a small $0.99 monthly fee or $10 per year.

I totally understand if you don’t want to support. However there are supporters and I need to focus on them to expand more features and make this a truly great app for Amiibo collectors.

It was either go down this path or kill the app entirely.

### 1/5 — New Update! Oh…no…

*2026-07-19*

Was excited to see the first new update in forever until I saw that it now only lets you add 10 amiibos to your collection before making you pay for a subscription. No thanks. That’s an uninstall.

**Developer response:** I understand your frustration, however it was either this or close the app down. I had to spend significant time building out a new platform that ensure it’s always up to date, server costs, domain costs, etc. If it was free for me it would be free for you as well.

### 1/5 — Not a great comeback story

*2026-07-19*

App was great for just tapping and adding amiibo you collected. The updates were slow to add new amiibo but when the app is free, this is a non issue (at least for me). Even with the lack of updates in several months, I was still unbothered.

Now, the app comes back with a brand new update. And it’s become pretty much useless to anyone.

You get to manually add just up to 10 amiibo to your collection for free. After that you can either pay a monthly fee or yearly fee to unlock the ability to add more than 10 (this is never unlimited as that would imply an infinite amount of amiibo). The upgrade does offer other things like cloud back up, which is nice but unnecessary to me (there’s other apps that do what this did before the update and for free).

The app is useless to me now, so it’s been deleted and will be forgotten. I had another app that I use and use it to scan the amiibo to add to the collection that serves the same purpose.

Thanks for providing the free app, it was fun while it lasted.

**Developer response:** I understand your frustration, however it was either this or close the app down. I had to spend significant time building out a new platform that ensure it’s always up to date, server costs, domain costs, etc. If it was free for me it would be free for you as well.

### 1/5 — Greedy

*2026-07-19*

App was originally free. After this update you can only track 10 amiibos. Anymore requires a subscription. Do not use this app.

**Developer response:** I understand your frustration, however it was either this or close the app down. I had to spend significant time building out a new platform that ensure it’s always up to date, server costs, domain costs, etc. If it was free for me it would be free for you as well.

Greedy is expecting everything for free at the expense of others.

### 1/5 — Both a great and terrible update

*2026-07-19*

The "completely new" version is much needed. Seems like it hasn't been updated in almost 2 years. Which, as a paid user, it's pretty egregious to not only be met with a required "$10/annual subscription" *and* a completely wiped collection. I get that upkeep costs money, but given that I already paid once and was left without updates looong before, being forced into an annual subscription just to maintain what I had doesn't instill confidence.

**Developer response:** I understand your frustration, however it was either this or close the app down. I had to spend significant time building out a new platform that ensure it’s always up to date, server costs, domain costs, etc. If it was free for me it would be free for you as well.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Cool update

*2026-08-15*

The app updated, and Im now happy. However, I don’t see where the dark versions of the sky lander donkey Kong and bowser are. That’s all right , but a cool addition would be the power up bands , as those work as amiibo

### 5/5 — The app is back on track

*2026-08-10*

Glad to see the developers listen to the criticism and go back to using the old model of either using a pro account or just deal with ads, instead of forcing everyone to go pro. Hopefully the app sticks around for a good while, I really do like how the app now looks

**Developer response:** It was either this or shut down the app completely. Enough users have asked us to go this route to make it worthwhile. Sorry to see you go, however I’m confident in this new model and the app that this will become.

### 5/5 — Someone listened

*2026-08-09*

I’m glad that instead of lashing out you listened to criticism.

### 5/5 — Amazing New Update

*2026-07-21*

This app is amazing. I understand the subscription and I’m glad it’s only $1… it costs money to develop, host, etc. awesome app though. I love it.

**Developer response:** Thank you! Glad you are enjoying the new app!

### 5/5 — BigMan is missing

*2025-09-26, version 11.0.0*

I’ve been using this app off and on for years with no issues. Only thing I’ve noticed recently is that bigman seems to be missing from the splatoon series

### 5/5 — No more updates

*2025-06-07*

There are no more update since 2022 so all amiibos after that are not in the app…

### 5/5 — Very Helpful

*2025-06-05*

This app is very handy to have cuz whenever I go in the store to purchase new Amiibo, this app helps me remember which ones I already have!!! I have a TBI, (unfortunately I don’t remember alot) so this app helps me keep track of which ones I do have!!! Again very helpful & handy!!!

### 5/5 — Please update!

*2025-04-07*

I love the Colliibo app! It's so easy to use and super visual, making it a breeze to check out collections. One thing I've noticed is that it hasn't been updated with new collections in a while. With the Switch 2 coming out and new Zelda and Streetfighter amiibos on the way, it would be awesome if you could update the collections here!

### 5/5 — Great app 2025

*2025-03-09, version 11.0.0*

Definitely useful app to organize what amiibo you own and don’t own! The only thing I’ve noticed missing is that Sora hasn’t been added yet. Besides that it works great!

### 5/5 — Please update

*2024-12-08*

This is a great app but please add the newer amiibos to the list! They are not that many and it would help a lot. Thank you!
