Más vale preguntar directamente al motor de búsqueda. ### 2/5 — In my view it’s too expensive *2025-02-14* This app is too expensive for what it has to offer. At that price, I would expect to have included the pronunciation of each word, but it is not there. I also find the UI a bit awkward to use. To get correct search results, it is necessary to reset the search bar each time I want to search for something. I just can’t type a new word and press return. The search is also a bit limited; for example, if I try to search for sin embargo, it returns nothing. Yes, it has nice conjugation of each verb, but at £17, I would expect more. ### 2/5 — Seems to be missing audio pronunciation function *2025-01-30* Purchased the latest app to replace obsolete version which I’ve happily used for years. The latest iteration doesn’t seem to be an improvement, it has no audio pronunciation function (unless I’m missing how to turn it on) and seems to have far less examples of word usage than before. ### 3/5 — Some great, some not so great... *2024-10-16* Ok, first the good - great and comprehensive linguistic reference from a trusted source. No analytics or telemetry - thank you, developers for being conscientious! However... the app interface is crude and awkward, the icon is defective - the close and open animation results in tearing and artifacts, revealing white background. Unacceptable for iOS app. If you want an UI to emulate look no further than the Harper-Collins Dictionary and Thesaurus (dark blue icon, red lettering). They have nailed the interface. Otherwise you have a promising product on your hands. ### 2/5 — Good content, 2nd rate app *2023-10-08* The dictionary itself is excellent. The the app it’s wrapped in is bug ridden and 2nd rate. Shockingly poor, given what a simple task this involves in programming terms. Here are some example bugs. There’s no way to get back to the main menus. Dark mode comes on randomly, and often only on parts of the page. When dark mode is working, it puts dark text on a dark background so you can’t read the text. Really. The search bar functions incredibly badly, and you regularly have to restart the app to refresh it. If you can get another Spanish dictionary, do. ### 5/5 — Good for verbs especially and as a dictionary as well *2022-09-18, version 2.9* It’s difficult to find a Spanish dictionary one can see verbs in all variants. Worth every penny and then some. An excellent, very well thought out user interface makes using this app easy and facilitates learning. Tap on any word to go to it’s definition. Tap and hold on any word to speak it’s pronunciation. Tap on any verb to go to it’s conjugation. Multiple usage examples. Easy to use verb conjugation tables. I highly recommend this app. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Review *2026-04-23* Sometimes I like this but half the time it does not have the word I want and I have to look it up on the Internet. Why does it not default to do a search as soon as you type a word in ? I have no idea how to return it back to search and am so frustrated. Unfortunately it is no longer available. ### 1/5 — lacks advertised functionality *2024-09-26* there is currently no icloud sync. both the bookshelf and individual collins dictionaries by the same developer advertise syncing favorites and transferring them to other devices but this function is broken which, for an app with this price tag, is unacceptable. the developer responded to an email inquiry letting me know that they are aware and have no timeline as to when a fix can be expected. i have many favorites in an individual dictionary app and after buying another one of their expensive dictionaries i am unable to use them both in the bookshelf app because there is no way of transferring all the favorites. the favorites also don’t sync between the iphone and ipad versions of the dictionary or bookshelf apps. the developer either needs to provide a fix, which honestly is not that serious of a coding job, or update the store description before people spend $18 for each of their dictionaries expecting the advertised features. ### 1/5 — Not what it used to be *2024-06-30* When I upgrade my phone to I phone 15, for some reason my original Collins Spanish dictionary did not carry over to the new phone and apparently is no longer available so I downloaded the current app. It is no where nearly as good as the older app. The older app had sound and pronunciation. It has a mode for examples and it was overall a better smoother more easy to navigate app. This current app is nowhere nearly as good as the older app. I am definitely disappointed with this current app. ### 1/5 — Very incomplete *2024-03-09* It’s very frustrating when almost every word I need to check is not there. It’s a different company with no affiliation with Collins. They use the name to get subscriptions. There are also very few words, and some translations are inaccurate. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Best Multi language Dictionary I came across and use o *2026-04-16* It allows the use of both languages in the initial prompt without having to choose one beforehand. It can conjugate Spanish verbs and even identify the infinitive form from a conjugated one (for example, quepo → caber → to fit (into)), which makes searches much easier. It also provides different usages with examples, helping you find the correct Spanish equivalent — for instance, “it fits me” → me queda bien, versus “it will fit in the box” → cabe en la caja. And remarkably, it has maintained its Apple access for over 10 years, whereas I’ve had to repurchase other dictionaries through their updates. ### 5/5 — A Comprehensive Spanish Verb Reference Source *2026-04-16* By far the best source for Spanish verbs! It not only contains the various, and often numerous uses of a verb, but unlike most other sources, it will pull up this information regardless of the verb tense searched. It also gives you a complete breakdown of the verb in the numerous tenses. Not only does it include comprehensive dictionaries in both Spanish and English, but it includes conjugations of almost all the verbs and “frases” or sentences that include the verbs. I am grateful that. translator didn’t forget to include idiomatic expressions. I could say much more such as it is embarrassingly inexpensive. Almost all of those idioms are present within the context of a sentence or a short paragraph. Thank you for this broad and deep surprise.
