They continue to bill you each week and still trying to receive a refund. The app was difficult to navigate, not worth purchasing. ### 1/5 — Warning — Subscription Required *2021-05-31, version 3.0* This app used to have a minimal one time cost to it or perhaps it was even free. It was awesome a few years ago as the ratings from then say. More recently however someone decided to milk the app for all they could. You have to sign up for a subscription at $4.99 a week that renews automatically. You get the information for a brief time only, which is alright if you just want to look at the info while you spend a few days in CW. However you have to pay through the nose if you want to look at the information later at your own leisure. So don't be impatient. The use of the map is awesome, showing each location along with photos. Select a location and the photo, and you get a lengthy and descriptive history lesson on the buildings. Awesome idea ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — A wealth of information *2021-02-20, version 3.0* At first this app did take quite a while to download, and the first few times I tried to open it, it seemed to have to download everything each time. So I was afraid the other reviewers were right about it not working. However, that stopped after a few times and now it opens rather quickly. The amount of information on each building is great! Especially since I visited during COVID and most of the buildings are closed. It tells you what each building is, whether it’s original or reconstructed, who owned the buildings, what the building was used for and other historical information, even places where Washington mentioned in his diaries he visited. There are also videos for some of the buildings which was especially nice for the ones I wasn’t able to go into. Several days after being back from Williamsburg I am still reviewing this info and getting a better and better understanding of the town and life during the colonial period. This is a great app if you give it a chance. ### 5/5 — Complete and Immersive Tour *2018-03-02, version 2.2.5* This tour was really helpful before getting to colonial williamsburg and while there. Each location has audio narration and images, and sometimes video. It's the best guide to the area and is easy to use- relevant to your location and lets you search by name, or can scroll through the list.
