However, I do have an issue with how the event currency system works. It feels too difficult to earn enough currency, and the item prices are quite high. You can only earn four event pieces a day (or eight if you watch ads and double them), but there’s an hour-long timer before you can double again. On top of that, the pixel counter can’t be turned off, so I either have to stop playing and wait for the timer or settle for just one event coin. It ends up discouraging me from continuing to play which seems like the opposite of what the game should encourage. ### 2/5 — WAS a great app *2025-11-09, version 1.24.0* It was a great app but now it’s an add after every single picture. Super frustrating. Also, needs a way to change the color for the highlighted areas. The pixel art is really well done, and some of the images are very complex and can take up to an hour to complete (which I enjoy). Unfortunately ads pop up every few minutes, including annoying Temu ads that open a browser window when I try to close out of them and ads that play audio even if my phone is on silent. Sometimes an ad will pop up literally 20 seconds after another ad. I 100% believe developers should be compensated for their work and I normally don’t have a problem with ads, but the frequency of ads in this game is overwhelming. I would happily pay a subscription if it was a few dollars a month like most other apps, but the subscription cost is unreasonable for a coloring game. That said, the art style is lovely and the concept is unique. It’s very zen but you don’t even get to finish a level/picture without being accosted by constant ads. I would’ve paid an amount to remove the ads but I’m not made of money and I’m not paying a subscription to remove the constant ads from a mobile game. I would be more likely to pay for level packs than having yet another freaking subscription. Start coloring? Ad. Want to make any sort of progress at a decent pace? Better watch those ads, because the 'regular' currency is given out at a snail's pace. And then you get ANOTHER ad once you actually finish something. Each one of these ads last more than a minute, which adds up VERY quickly. To add insult to injury, this game has the GALL to offer an ad-free experience... for TEN DOLLARS A MONTH. This is a five-dollar game at the most, and that would be just to buy it outright! I'd even be willing to pay that five dollars up front, I actually enjoy the gameplay, but the sheer greed on display is disgusting enough to warrant an uninstall. I have some suggestions for future islands! - dragon palace - Hawaii/tropical resort kinda thing - coral reef/ underwater island/ ocean exploration site - modern Tokyo city island -autumn land -fairy grove like giant mushrooms, dragonflies and fire flies and little fairies -steampunk city island -a carnival/ amusement park land! With lots of rides people, and food and games! -Hell island, like the underworld!
