The achievements don’t always unlock fully without watching ads. After every level it'll ask if you want to watch an ad for more in-game currency... but the amount you get is randomized, so you don't even know how much you'll get for it. There are floating ads in the levels themselves, and it asks after every two or so you complete if you want to rate and review, with no "no" option, just a "maybe"... and when I hit yes and went to write this, it was interrupted with another ad that forced me to start over.
