Prior to using an iPhone of course I used and had several Androids. One of my favorite apps was “Notes”. One particular thing I like about Notes was any time I switched or upgraded to a new phone, I’d download the notes app and all my important Notes would instantly be there. I was recategorizing all of my folders and while rearranging them, the app crashed. I reopened it and my entire 'work' folder had been deleted along with it's contents, and no way to retrieve them. I lost both important documents and notes and they're just gone. I used to love this app years ago but forgot about it, rediscovered it and it's completely different now, for better or worse. I bought the annual subscription about three months ago and it's been fine until now, but this is going to impact my career and I hate that something like this only happened after it became paywalled. I'll never know if it's because the money became prioritized over passion, but I do know I can't recover from the lost data I needed to have. I can't refund my subscription, but I can tell someone, whether the reader or the developer, that the folders listing issue needs to be fixed. it was glitchy from the start, but I figured I could wait for a patch to be released. ### 2/5 — So so *2024-01-18, version 1.0.8* Liked the old format better. But on iPad it is AWFUL. There are so many ads, and they try as hard as they can to get you to buy the premium to get rid of the ads and have more than 2 notes. You can’t set dates on the calendar, you can’t even look around without another annoying ad. You want to try and make another note? Ad. You try to look at the calendar? Ad. Ads EVERYWHERE. You literally can’t have more than 2 reminders, and those reminders don’t show up on the widgets, you have to make a checklist.
