### 4/5 — Helpful but…

*2026-08-08, version 1.33*

Not as good as other visualizers. Can’t paint more than one color and can’t zoom in to select shapes more easily. I like that I can see the colors I’ve selected in curated groups, but wish I could organize them.

### 2/5 — Removed good features

*2026-07-22, version 1.33*

I have spent hours on this app (I am painting my entire house). It seems like they removed the ability to identify paint colours based on an image. I was using that to take colours from other paint brands or my own procreate designs and see what the closest Benjamin Moore colour was. They also made it harder (maybe impossible?) To search for a colour based on its LRV. This is a big loss for me because if you can find the right LRV needed for your space it is helpful to see the options. I doubt I will use this app much now and will probably go to plan.home instead.

### 2/5 — New update is trash

*2026-07-12, version 1.33*

Can’t save colors in the app after the update and navigation is anything but easy

### 1/5 — Worst app I have EVER used

*2026-05-06, version 1.32*

This app is impossible to use. Cannot view ANY paint samples in my room at all. After 2 hrs, I give up.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-04-26, version 1.32*

I used this app to try and get the paint color of my new apartments living room to touch up the paint where I spackled a hole in the wall and now I’m down $50 on paint after 3 trips to different paint stores because the “Color Capture” feature in the app was wrong all 3 times I tried it and I now have to go back again to get more paint to fix the small paint job which now turned into a big paint job. Look elsewhere if you need to find out what color your paint is.

### 1/5 — colors off

*2026-03-24, version 1.32*

The colors are so off that it makes this app completely useless.

### 1/5 — Comically bad

*2026-03-22, version 1.32*

The paintbrush logo covers the entirety of the door in the example inspiration photo, and when you go to save the example photo after selecting all the colors, the saved photo is the house before all the changes, with a list at the bottom of the colors. Entirely useless.

### 2/5 — Kinda does what I need

*2026-02-17, version 1.32*

I was looking for an app to allow me to visualize colours in my room. It allows you to take a photo and colour from their collections. It does not seem to be a true representation of the colour however and it is translucent in your wall. I was rather hoping to cover over what is currently on the walls so I could get an idea of what it looked like bare and to cover over things in the way like my child who is standing in the middle of the room staring at the tv. The colours just seem really pastelle like compared to the colour showing in the tiles. It is hard to draw without a very precise stylus too. The wizard tool uses areas of similar colour so if your ceiling is the same shade as your walls and the lighting makes the wall and ceiling show areas of similar brightness that connect, it colours that whole area. At least it is better than everything else I have tried and it is free.

### 1/5 — Not anymore useful that the website—maybe less

*2026-01-15, version 1.31*

I was very much hoping that this app would allow me to track and organize the paints I’m actually using in my home. This would be so much more useful if I could create and save my own house color palette so I could easily get touch up paints or figure out how my chosen colors coordinate.

Sadly, it’s just a store for online shopping and I prefer to support my local hardware affiliates for that.

### 1/5 — Missing colors

*2026-01-03, version 1.31*

The Williamsburg paint deck is missing a lot of colors.

### 3/5 — Good but not great

*2026-01-01, version 1.31*

The app would be better if you could add a section where it shows a similar color to what color you’re looking at and more importantly coordinating colors would be helpful. I’m confused why it doesn’t because if you go to website you can. I hate going back and forth, probably why I deleted it years ago.

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2025-12-30, version 1.31*

Doesn’t work

### 2/5 — Can’t close app

*2025-12-28, version 1.31*

When swiping up from the bottom the close the app there is a stupid little error where you can’t close the app.

### 4/5 — Helpful, but could be better

*2025-12-10, version 1.31*

This is a great way to get an idea for paint colours before going in the store and becoming totally overwhelmed by paint chips. What I wish it had was custom lists rather than just a shopping list. I’d love to be able to make my own colour pallets based on my design projects.

### 1/5 — Color Renderings are not accurate

*2025-11-22, version 1.31*

Color renderings are too light and don’t accurately reflect what’s painted. I found myself not trusting the app to give an accurate look of what the new color would actually look like in my space.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Huh?

*2026-08-30, version 1.33*

This app makes no sense. You upload a room and pick a color. Then, through guessing, you select your area. Then, nothing. No info on how to see the color in the area. Zippo. This isn’t user friendly.

### 1/5 — Crappiest app I’ve ever used

*2026-08-23, version 1.33*

The color visualization doesn’t work at all. This was a massive waste of my time and it didn’t help me at all.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-08-20, version 1.33*

This might be the most useless app I’ve ever downloaded. Cannot perform a single function correctly. Don’t download until they scrap this completely and build a real app

### 1/5 — Confusing

*2026-08-12, version 1.33*

Downloaded the app. Downloaded a photo and now it’s unclear how to actually apply the potential paint colors to the photo

### 1/5 — Cannot Easily Match Color to Photo

*2026-08-08, version 1.33*

When I submitted a photo of a vivid blue door, beige came up as the color match

### 1/5 — Great if I love Pink!

*2026-07-26, version 1.33*

I loved the color visualizer before it was updated. Please bring back the old version.

### 1/5 — Absolute Fail Of An Update

*2026-07-04, version 1.33*

Why did you have to update the app completely? This badly? Why doesn't the colour capture have its own area on the bar below? Why does the visualiser freeze after painting one colour from the shopping list, and why is the colour catalog have no way straight up to add colours from the shopping list? Why is the colour catalog now no longer have individual colours? Why is this app now horrible to use and so frustrating?!

### 1/5 — This is the worst color app

*2026-06-27, version 1.33*

I don’t understand how in the age of AI that I can’t take an image of an item and get a color analysis. This is the worst app ever. Is their job to provide color cards you get at the store or actually provide info so I can make a purchase? I think it’s funny that this is “ new and improved “ I hate to see previous iterations.

### 1/5 — Terrible Photo Visualizer

*2026-06-25, version 1.33*

App is not well designed and not intuitive for the user. I used the photo visualizer to try to see my house painted different colors but it only allowed me to “paint” the house using a large circle wherever my finger went. My photo looked like a child had drawn all over it with marker. Paint color was also not even close to true color (I compared using paint swatches that I already had). Extremely unhelpful app.

### 1/5 — Time Waster

*2026-05-23, version 1.32*

The color visualizer is fine if you have a lot of spare time on your hands to play with a painting app. There’s no intelligence built in. You have to use little tedious painting tools.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Gets me the color I want

*2026-04-17, version 1.32*

If I can get a decent photo, color Portfolio can match it!

### 5/5 — Lots of fun for the designer

*2026-04-11, version 1.32*

This app should become a great tool for my painting business. As well, I’m having a good time using all of its functions to play with colors and design ideas.

### 5/5 — 💃🎉💃🎉

*2026-03-18, version 1.32*

I like colors

### 5/5 — Screening new colours?

*2026-01-17, version 1.31*

No help here. Colour changed sofa, drapes and fireplace: not walls. Useless

### 5/5 — Glitchy and buggy

*2026-01-16, version 1.31*

Every time I use this app sometimes is broken. First is was adding samples. Now you can’t upload a photo into it. Please fix.

*2025-08-09, version 1.31*

This Color portfolio has been incredibly useful for selecting specific colours throughout Panorama mountain resort.
I recommend this app to everyone that may have a future painting or decorating project.
It’s so nice to not have to carry colour fans to every project .

*2025-06-24, version 1.30*

Shiv7448!

### 5/5 — Sales specialist
