It used to be possible to switch back and forth between images at top and bottom, applying colour from either to either...shame coz it was an outstanding 5 star app. Please update and revert to previous format, with ability to switch colours between both top and bottom… it was so incredibly useful! 🙏 ### 4/5 — It WAS wonderful! *2023-03-09, version 2.3.2* I have found no other app that does this color-matching. It’s an awesome way to match the color and tone between two photos. However, since the update I haven’t been able to run it. It immediately crashes when I try to launch it. Also, I have a feature request. How about the option of generating a LUT after two images are color matched? Out of hundreds, maybe thousands of mediocre camera apps that do all the same sh!t..catering to all the mediocre people that want instant satisfaction and artistic results with zero effort...and finally one comes out with a refreshingly unique approach. I dont look for all-in-one photo apps because I always find that they fall short trying to do too much. I look at them as tools that each have a function to assist an artistic vision. And although this app doesnt have an incredible amount of variable manipulation, what it does do is very cool. For the artists out there that like to experiment and explore unique and random landscapes this app is for you. Thought it would be cool to just copy filtered pics to others but this doesn't not do that. The picture instead look colorful and horrible. Not sure what it was like before the recent update but this app right now isn't worth $2. In fact I wouldn't even use it if it were free. ### 1/5 — Ruined by the update!!! *2016-02-08, version 2.0* I used to LOVE this app but the update ruined the interface. In the old version you could flip the top photo's color scheme to the bottom photo, and flip the bottom photo's color scheme to the top photo by hitting a button on the border of the two photos. Now that ability is gone and the app is ruined! I can't use it the way I want to anymore. I live in fear that at the next Apple update it will be gone. Echoing other reviewers who also loved the app, I use it all the time. I like to design fabric patterns and it’s great for creating different colorways and coordinating new patterns but I also use it for fun, just to see what one of my drawings or photographs would look like in other color combos. I’m planning on making a handmade book based on the color blue, so you can imagine how handy this app will be to change an image to work with that theme. I hate to ask for more features on such an easy to use app but it would be great to be able to fetch from folders. I have to scroll through tons of images now. I think it's truly such a unique concept and that it makes creating new filters for photos a really exciting and fun experience. The possibilities seem endless to me with being able to add new color schemes to your photos. So many apps and games today are just straight up copies of other existing apps and games. But, with, Color Thief, I believe you've created a one-of-a-kind application and tool. Congratulations on that ingenuity and creativity, it's a rare thing today in my opinion on the App Store. Also, I cannot stress enough how grateful and thankful I am to the app's developer for being rad and for not using disgusting in-app purchases or subscription plan garbage with this app. Developers like you are always a huge winner 🏆 in my book for not being scum and for not utilizing that crap with your apps. You're a dying breed and again I cannot tell how grateful and thankful I am to you for actually being ethical and moral in selling your wonderful application. Thanks for that and God bless. Oh, and, any new apps you come out with, assuming you still sell them for one single price. Well, I'll be first in the proverbial line to purchase any of the new apps you release. It's simplicity and ease of use are secondary to the unique and great colorization tool it really is. You basically can colorize one photo with the color palette of another photo. And it does it so well. Worth the price, and I am shocked that this App isn't at the front of the line amongst all these color splash like Apps out there.
