## Newest reviews (3 of 23)

### 4/5 — Nice progress and sort/filter abilities

*2016-08-27*

This app is really user friendly and the 14ers dot com app is very practically useful so together they make a good duo.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2016-08-10, version 1.8*

I love collecting 14ers for my trophy case. This app is phenomenal. A must have for hikers in Colorado!

### 5/5 — Nothing like it!

*2016-08-10*

This is a great app for planning a 14er day. The different routes, difficulty settings and tracking are pretty sweet. It motivates me to climb more 14ers.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — This app is horrible

*2023-03-27*

$9.99 for what? Just go download 14ers, the real app, and don’t waste your money. This app is garbage.

### 1/5 — Map only part visable

*2020-09-07*

Lead for their rent a map

### 1/5 — Tricked

*2016-09-03*

The app makes you pay after you have added a certain amount of peaks. Wish they were just upfront with the cost.

**Developer response:** While it wasn't intentional we weren't upfront about the cost. That was wrong and apologize for it. We listened to your feedback and the app is now completely free to use! We hope you will come back and check it out.

### 1/5 — Crashes constantly

*2016-07-20*

Crashes every time I open it. Especially after uploading a photo and then those photos disappear when re opening the app.

**Developer response:** Sorry it was crashing for you. We've made a lot of stability updates to the photo uploading section that should resolve your issues. Check out our latest release and if you are have any issues let us know so we can fix it and keep improving the app.

### 2/5 — If it worked...

*2018-06-20*

This app would be pretty fun, if it worked. It slowly loads your photos when opening, and if you scroll, it shuts down. Add a photo, the photo saves, but it shuts down. Do anything too quickly, it shuts down. I wish this app actually worked. Fortunately, if the developers don’t improve this I’m sure, with the popularity of 14ers, we will eventually have one similar.

**Developer response:** Sorry the app is shutting down for you. It sounds like it may be an issue with the amount of memory on your phone. We have made recent improvements to help with that and will continue working to make the app more memory efficient and quicker. If you contact me at jeremiah@avalancheapps.com I can get some more information to help fix the issue you are having. Thanks!

### 2/5 — Requires Facebook or Google

*2018-05-17*

It's very surprising to see that the app requires you to create an account via Facebook or Google-no standard email option.

I'd register in a heart beat if I did have to use/give them my Google information (I don't have Facebook)

**Developer response:** We started with Facebook and Google to simplify sign up for most users, and only receive your email and name from Google and no other information. We take your privacy very seriously.

We do know that you may want to use a non-google email account though and are planning to add that feature in the future. If you send me an email at jeremiah@avalancheapps.com I'd be happy to notify you when it's available.

### 2/5 — Needs lots of improvement

*2016-08-15*

The App is plagued with bugs. Photos often won't upload on the first try, friends section has never worked, and it is very slow to start. Now with a required $2.99 fee to keep using it, I'll probably just delete it. There are plenty of browser based peak trackers out there with far less bugs and more features. Some promising ideas, and they have clearly been updating the app frequently, but it's still far from polished or very interesting. I suspect the 5 star reviews are fake. Many of the screenshots aren't even features in the app! There's no route descriptions or weather updates! 2 stars is generous, but I did enjoy adding photos and seeing my progress in different ranges.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We've listened to it and made a lot of improvements. The best of which is it is now completely free. We've also made updates to photo uploading, especially with spotty cell service. We will work hard to keep improving the app for you.

### 2/5 — Cool idea, not fully realized yet

*2016-08-01*

App is pretty buggy, slow to load/refresh. Has to be swiped off and on after uploading any picture. Hope in a few updates things get ironed out :)

**Developer response:** We've been doing lots of ironing! :) But really we've made stability improvements to the photo uploading process that should fix the issues you are having.

### 3/5 — Photos

*2021-10-27*

I wish I could have more than one photo per peak.

### 4/5 — Requires Facebook ... Not anymore

*2017-06-11*

Don't have Facebook.

Edit: Nice thank you for the update!

**Developer response:** Sorry you weren't able to access the app before. We've now added the ability to log in with Google instead! Let us know what you think of it.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great App for 14er Hikers

*2019-08-27*

This app is a great way to keep track of your summits and to see what hikes are good to do each season.

### 5/5 — Really Fun App

*2018-07-02*

I always make sure to update the app for each summit I do, and it’s a fun app. However, when I change the picture for a certain Summit, the “progress” tab counts the summit twice (if I change the picture for one mountain it counts it as two)

**Developer response:** Thanks for the kind words! We'll look into the progress bug right away.

### 5/5 — Dig this app

*2017-03-12, version 1.14*

Fun app to keep score on 14er climbs. Neat progress tracker. Just a fun app to commemorate those summit accomplishments. Dig it.

### 5/5 — Amazing App

*2016-10-06*

I am love this app. It's a great way to keep track of all of your hikes. The only complaint that I have, is that you need a photo of yourself on the summit in order to log your 14er. Other than that it's a great app and I would recommend it to any Colorado outdoor enthusiast.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2016-09-27*

This app is perfect, it's an awesome way to keep track of all the 14ers you do.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2016-09-26, version 1.11*

Great way to visually catalog your 14ers!

### 5/5 — Beautiful

*2016-09-06*

Amazingly beautiful and easy to use app. Perfect for keeping a log of summits. I would rather not have to sign up with Facebook but I can understand why for sharing purposes. Great job on creating this app. I love it.

### 5/5 — Rad App

*2016-08-12*

This app is awesome! I can easily keep track of the 14ers I did and have a picture to remember each one by in a collective trophy case. The user experience is flawless and I'd highly recommend this app to show off how many 14ers you've done!

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2016-08-11*

I love having the ability to track my 14ers with this app! Uploading a photo to each completed 14er is a great feature and very rewarding

### 5/5 — One of my fave outdoor apps

*2016-08-11*

I used to have an issue with the app locking up on me, but it seems to be working great now! I can't believe someone hadn't thought of this concept sooner. It's such a simple way to plan hikes as well as keep track of them somewhere. Plus it makes it so easy to show off my progress when I'm talking to coworkers or whoever about climbing all the 14ers.
