It always has trouble signing in, my subscription purchase on desktop didn’t register with the app until I deleted and reinstalled it, and the few account customizations there are have glitches. I’ve been a reader for years but this is mediocre. Gannet is a huge corporation and should really have a better app base to work off of. ### 4/5 — Coloradoan eNewspaper *2025-12-21, version 8.6.0* I like the new format of the Coloradoan eNewspaper. Like the option of being able to get only the digital format of the Coloradoan as receiving the paper version on Wednesday’s and Sundays through the mail is very inconvenient. In addition lowering the price for only the digital version is a great option. It would be nice if the local grocery ads or links were were available with the digital version rather than having to go to there respective apps. Clearly the future of print delivery is bleak, but you could at least try…. Also the app makes it ever clearer that local reporting is mostly dead. I wish I still had the old version. New app has “useful” (not) menus at the side and bottom that shrink page view just enough to be annoying on my iPad Pro. And there’s no hide menu option. There is NO billing information on the app. ### 3/5 — Needs a Small Update for “Swipe Mode” Reading *2025-03-06, version 8.1.0* In landscape mode, Fit to page width, the “Next Page” button should go to top of page - not to same point as current page. Restarts with no reason. Makes me want to cancel the on line paper. ### 1/5 — No Letters to the Editor *2025-10-01, version 8.5.4* Submitting comments on an article in the paper and I received immediate return form notice - the Coloradoan is not accepting letters to the editor. We know what Ben Franklin had to say about that - he put it in writing long ago. One week later and journalist has not responded. Online Paper seems to have degraded to just reporting a few stories, abnormally high ratio of sports stories. ### 1/5 — Choked with awful ads even in paid version *2025-07-12, version 8.1.0* If you pay money to support your local news, you get the same impossible to read format with ads every two inches. I won't renew. ### 1/5 — Enewspaper No Longer Available in App *2025-06-18, version 8.1.0* After disabling the old enewspaper app, the enewspaper can no longer be loaded into the Coloradoan app now, and the only way view it is to go to a browser now on my iPad to view. Then it wouldn’t open subscribed content. Fortunately support was still online and could fix that also. App does not reflect what is in the paper. It’s a very poor substitute for a real newspaper. Now that there is no Saturday paper it shows just how much worse it is. Today the app doesn’t even have all the articles from the print edition.
