### 3/5 — Meh.

*2026-10-03, version 1.4.1*

It didn't give md good color results from B&W Photos.

### 2/5 — Used to work BUT

*2026-06-29, version 1.4.0*

*update 6/28/26: I decided to try reinstall per a response email letter. Apple store offered a download of latest compatible version. Will update again after another trial run.

*original review: It don’t work anymore. Barely does anything. Maybe one out of five… offers no explanation. Basically useless. I’m deleting and getting back 370mb disk space back.

Maybe one our of five… offers no explanation. Basically useless. I’m deleting and getting back 370mb disk space back.

### 2/5 — Used to work BUT

*2026-04-23, version 1.3.3*

It don’t work anymore. Barely does anything.

### 1/5 — Pas favorable

*2026-04-03*

### 1/5 — Not what I expected

*2025-11-17*

This APP is not what I expected. I have an old 1970's photo that is fading and I wanted to bring it back to life. All it did was blur the jpeople in the photo. Unfortunately, once you subscribe, you have to wait a year before it is cancelled. Another mistake made when dealing with computer APPS.

**Developer response:** Hi, thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry Pholorize blurred the people in your old photo instead of restoring it as expected. Very faded photos can be challenging for AI restoration, especially when faces, contrast, or fine details are already weak, but the result should still look natural and useful. We’ll keep improving restoration quality for older photos. Also, subscriptions can be canceled anytime through your Apple ID settings; canceling stops the next renewal, while access may remain active until the current subscription period ends.

### 5/5 — A good app

*2025-11-11, version 1.3.7*

Realistic colors, very simple to use. Good, reliable results in a entry-level app. Very good assistance.

### 1/5 — Lifetime anbieten - und dann doch ein Monatsabo!?

*2025-10-03*

### 1/5 — Color was maybe OK, but resolution was 100 times worse!!

*2025-08-09*

A good way to ruin your photo collection

**Developer response:** Hi, thank you for the feedback. We’re sorry the colorized result lost so much resolution. Pholorize should preserve photo quality as much as possible while colorizing, and we understand how important that is when working with old photo collections. We’ve continued improving export quality, restoration, and processing since then, and we’ll keep working to make colorized results sharper and more faithful to the original photo.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2025-06-15*

The photos look worse than the original. No controls to adjust.

**Developer response:** Hi, thank you for the feedback. We’re sorry the results looked worse than the original photos. AI colorization and restoration should improve the image without making it feel overprocessed or unnatural. We also understand that users need more control over the final result. Since then, we’ve added more adjustment tools and continued improving colorization, restoration, and export quality. We’ll keep working to make Pholorize more flexible and reliable.
