## What is Colors?

See the world the way a colorblind friend sees it.

Colors is a color blindness simulator. Point the live camera at anything and watch it shift, in real time, into a different kind of colour vision — then show the people around you what it looks like.

THE LIVE CAMERA
Choose protan, deutan, tritan or no colour at all, and dial the strength from mild to complete. Or load a famous example, like John Dalton's. The view updates on every frame, straight from the camera.

Suddenly "that jumper is green, not brown" stops being an argument and becomes something you can just show each other.

SEE THROUGH THEIR EYES
One tap turns whatever you're pointing at into a split-screen image — ordinary vision on top, the simulation underneath — ready to post.

YOUR OWN PHOTOS
Choose pictures from your library and see them all at once in a different kind of colour vision: your holiday, your garden, your wardrobe. Colors uses the system photo picker, so it never has access to your library, and your photos stay on your phone.

PLACES YOU KNOW
Fifty photos to scroll through, each shown twice so the difference reads at a glance. Famous places like the Golden Gate Bridge and the red gates of Fushimi Inari, forests in autumn, strawberries and traffic lights, a red jacket on a green mountainside, Van Gogh and Rembrandt.

HIDDEN IN THE DOTS
You have seen those circles of coloured dots with a number inside. Colors generates them and lets you flip each one between kinds of colour vision, so you can watch the number fade away and understand why they are built the way they are.

ENHANCE MODE
Enhance pushes easily-confused colours further apart so they are easier to tell from each other. It cannot change how anyone's eyes work, but it makes the difference visible.

THE SCIENCE
The simulation uses the physiologically based colour matrices published by Machado, Oliveira and Fernandes (2009), applied to every pixel on the GPU. A short illustrated tour explains cones, confusion lines and why red-green colour blindness is so common.

JUST A SIMULATION
Colors is made for curiosity, education and fun. It does not test, measure or diagnose anyone's eyesight, and it is not a medical device. Screen brightness, ambient light and display calibration all change what you see.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your camera feed never leaves your phone. Nothing is recorded, nothing is stored, nothing is uploaded. No analytics, no ads, no tracking.

COLORS PREMIUM
• Unlimited live camera, every kind of colour vision
• Enhance mode
• Split-screen share
• Swap and add as many of your own photos as you like

Colors Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, offered yearly or weekly. A plan may start with an introductory offer, such as a free trial or a reduced first period; any offer, and the price that follows it, is shown in the app before you confirm anything. You can see the plans and prices any time under Settings → Subscription, and the paywall also appears once the free camera preview is used up. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is switched off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your Apple Account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription.

The gallery, the dot plates and your first 6 photos are always free.
