Plus the app would shut down constantly. I was never able to program a string of lights. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app a couple times and still would not work. It has a lot of potential but unless you want flashing lights with basic colors the timer setting won’t work for you ### 1/5 — Tons of potential, but falls short *2025-12-17, version 1.6* Great idea and the lights are durable from one season to the next, but the connection to control the lights from a cell phone is weak and impractical. The software version needs to be updated with better color options as the current options are limited (unless you are into tacky color modes). Out of all the color modes, there are really only 2-3 that would’t fall under an ordinance violation for obnoxious combinations. If the software update could include more practical options, and the cell phone control signal was more than ten feet from the unit, i would have given 5 stars and a raving review. I have the option to add music to my lights within this app but I don’t have the bicolor lights for that feature to work apparently. ### 4/5 — Overall pretty good *2022-12-17* I’m a bit surprised by the negative reviews for this product/app. Yes, the accompanying instructions leave out important details, but I’ll share some tips I’ve learned. When you program your lights you need to create separate on and off rules (I.e turn on at 4pm; turn off at 10:30pm). I have 4 rules that turn my lights on for 2 hours in the morning and 4.5 hours in the evening. Now for some shortcomings. The compatible Phillips LEDs are dimmer than other sets and I’m only using them in an area where that is desirable. The warm white color option has a greenish hue to it.
