I like to think that scientists have used some older model Colossatrons that were defeated by the military and used the power cores to fight against current Colossatron (that’s why there’s no more power cores). If you still care about your older games this game and the OG Colossatron would be a great place to start. (You could have in app purchases and ads just saying) ### 3/5 — Needs more levels *2023-11-15* Its ok, just needs a lot more gameplay since it only has ten levels. However, I see this as a strange entry to the series as it derails from the concept of Colossatron in the first game, though some similarities remain. Colossatron: Massive World Threat is a game where you battle enemies by attaching floating cores to yourself to make yourself stronger, some cores fusing to different colours and some fusing their own colour. Colossatron: Cosmic Crisis is a game where you battle enemies by collecting blue bolts to make yourself stronger, some upgrades complimenting others. The difference between these two games is that in Cosmic Crisis, you shoot from Colossatron’s head and you can’t extend its body, with upgrades resetting every level, while in Massive World Threat, you shoot from the cores themselves instead of the head, and you can extend its body, and the cores don’t reset until you destroy the Capital. I admire your work and appreciate that you have developed a new entry to the Colossatron series, however, I just can’t seem to find the concept of Colossatron in this shoot ‘em up game. Halfbrick bought the title, now attempting to monetize it as quickly and cheaply as possible. This is just Galaga, an arcade game from the 1980s, with the C-tron graphics they bought painted on. Lame, lame, lame. And after 2 lvls, required signing up for shady halfbrick+ account, which may trigger unwanted subscription and definitely is a glitchy mess. Don’t support this lazy, cut n paste non-developer’s cynical tactics. ### 1/5 — Nada que ver *2023-10-09* Horrible, esperaba más y creo que todos los que jugamos el 1. ### 2/5 — Good idea, rough start *2025-03-18, version 1.0.5* First i understand this is an early version of the game, so here’s some ideas to improve it: -attack power increase & attack speed should be purchasable upgrades through an in-game currency or experience system -on that note, a progression system for Colossatron would be dynamic, players can lean into certain techniques like building the chomp meter, dealing high damage, or simply exploiting ricochet & attack speed -adding fire, ice, electricity, vampire, or other effects from the previous game would really provide more experimentation opportunities for the player -Halfbrick, don’t be afraid to pull inspiration from the original Colossatron, theres a reason it’s a beloved classic ### 2/5 — Doesnt feel like colossatron *2023-10-10, version 1.0.0* Doesnt capture the charm of the original. Pretty fun for half a moment but its similar to most games of the genre with a vampire survivors element. Not bad, but lacking anything colossatron related such as modulized attacks with a puzzle element. If you were collecting cores while playing to impact your attacks this would be amazing but that would obviously take a lot more time when it comes to programming and balancing.
