## What is COLREG Sounds?

COLREG Sounds teaches you the sound signals of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREG 72): what each blast means, what it sounds like and when it is used.

Built for maritime students and professionals, skippers, recreational sailors and anyone who wants to understand the language of whistle signals at sea.

LEARN
• Lessons on Rules 32 to 37: definitions, equipment for sound signals, manoeuvring and warning signals, signals in restricted visibility, signals to attract attention and distress signals.
• Figures and diagrams of every manoeuvre that you can enlarge to see in detail.
• Change the text size to read comfortably.

LISTEN
• A listen button under each rule: short and prolonged blast, altering course to starboard or to port, going astern, overtaking, agreement, doubt, approaching a bend, vessel making way or stopped, at anchor, aground, pilot vessel and more.

PRACTICE
• A 5-question evaluation drawn from a bank of 45, with text, image or sound questions.
• 30 seconds per question, and the clock pauses while you listen to a recording.
• Every answer comes with its explanation.

TRACK YOUR PROGRESS
• Statistics with stars, correct and wrong answers, and your trend.

ALSO
• 7 languages: Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, Italian, German and Catalan.
• Works without an internet connection.
• No ads, no accounts and no personal data collected.

Content based on the text of the IMO COLREG 1972. This app is a study aid: it does not replace the official text of the Regulations or required training, and must not be used as a navigation instrument.
