## What is ColumbiaWalks?

ColumbiaWalks helps residents and visitors document pedestrian-safety concerns in Columbia, Pennsylvania.

Quick Report keeps location and identification controls collapsed until you need them. A photo is optional for standard CW reports. Submit only to ColumbiaWalks, or save the CW report and prepare a separate anonymous-tip draft for CBPD's official form. ColumbiaWalks does not submit that draft or media to CBPD; you review and finish the official form yourself. Reports are saved on your device first and submitted when a connection is available.

Repeat Reporting keeps a sidewalk, vehicle, crossing, visibility, accessibility, school-route, police-response, or other hierarchy ready while you walk. Take or select a picture, optionally record a sidewalk subtype, lip height, vehicle behavior, license plate/state, or comment, submit, and immediately prepare the next observation. A separate Page of Shame flow sends a picture and location for administrator review before any public use.

For two narrowly defined concerns within 5 km of Columbia Borough center, the app reveals a collapsed test-email control that is off by default. Only an exact single crosswalk encroachment/incursion or missing-sidewalk selection qualifies; mixed, duplicate, and hierarchy-stray selections remain ordinary reports. The control requires a photo and in-area location, but those remain optional for the underlying standard CW report. In version 3.16.1, every explicitly authorized message goes only to a ColumbiaWalks-controlled test mailbox with [TEST] in the subject—not to Police, the Mayor, or Codes. Authorization does not confirm delivery. Email is sent from the ColumbiaWalks account, never from your personal email account.

The Saved tab lets you review pending and submitted reports, retry a submission, share a report summary, or remove a local copy.

The Community tab includes Contact Us, listing Robert at (717) 466-9069 with call, text, and private-message paths. It also provides the standalone local-only police-tip assistant, moderated public trash-can comments, private can complaints, and anonymous-by-default app feedback. Can complaints are not published or automatically forwarded to the Borough. No account is required.

ColumbiaWalks supports community awareness and advocacy. It does not contact emergency services. If someone is in immediate danger or needs urgent medical help, call 911.

ColumbiaWalks is independently operated. It does not represent or act on behalf of a government entity. Version 3.16.1 does not automatically share reports with local officials; its limited, explicitly opted-in email field test uses only a ColumbiaWalks-controlled mailbox.
