### 3/5 — The app crashes

*2021-04-28, version 2.19.6*

When trying to submit a request for yard waste that was not picked up the app crashes when I try to submit my request.

### 2/5 — Missed Notification

*2021-01-12, version 2.19.6*

One of the things I depend on in this app is a notification on Trash Day. This is because all our trash days move around due to holidays. This week I received only a notification for Recycling on Sunday night and ZERO notification on Monday night for my trash day TODAY. Just heard the truck go by and realized I missed trash day. You seriously need to fix this!

### 2/5 — Can’t launch. Says app needs updated?

*2020-03-05, version 2.14.6*

Experiencing similar to others. App seems usable now.

Basically, the only reason I use this app is for trash/recycling pickup. If that’s a core reason most users use it for, can that one feature be made more reliable and prevalent?

### 4/5 — Convenient for trash schedules

*2020-02-01, version 2.14.6*

Since Columbus trash pickup rotates, it is nice to have a notification the night before to put out the trash container. Sometimes the notifications aren’t sent out though.

### 4/5 — Fixed the app crash!!’

*2020-01-29, version 2.14.6*

Developer fixed the crash issue!!!

### 1/5 — App crashes

*2020-01-08, version 2.13.8*

This app has been crashing when trying to open it since the last update. It turns out you need to enable location services for it to open.

WHY?

The app has my address to allow it to notify me of my trash collection days. There is no need for it to have access to private information. I value my privacy and am tired of apps trying to access personal information!

The very least the developers could have done is to inform people that location services are required for the app to work.

Some of the information contained within the app is useful, but buried, making it hard to find.

Sorry - you get one star!

### 1/5 — Won’t open crashes

*2020-01-07, version 2.13.8*

No way to notify developer about crashing issue. 311 has no option open a ticket on app issues.

### 2/5 — Used to work

*2020-01-06, version 2.13.8*

I use to use this all the time to check trash and recycling. Now every time I try to open the App it crashes.

### 3/5 — App Crashing

*2020-01-04, version 2.13.8*

Since the last update, this app crashing every time I attempt to open it. I’ve enjoyed using this app but not its inaccessible. Please fix!

### 1/5 — Crash

*2019-12-24, version 2.13.8*

The app just continues to crash. Updated a week ago and ever since it won’t actually open.

### 1/5 — Mostly useless

*2019-11-03, version 2.12.6*

The App is mostly useless. A project to eat up funds appropriated to the city of Columbus. 3 months since the last update, they did not even know it was not working for months on most iphones and all iPads. One must wonder what they are doing with the funds if not maintaining the app.

### 1/5 — Cannot submit service requests

*2019-10-02, version 2.12.6*

I tried to use this to submit a service request, but when you get to the service request type selection screen, none of the options can be selected.

### 1/5 — Sad...

*2019-03-29, version 2.11.6*

Columbus, why are you advertising this app on your website? Are you proud of it? Proud that you “have an app” with a couple features that kind of work sometimes for a few people? You should probably either get serious about it or get rid of it. The correct answer is to get serious and commit to investing in fixing and maintaining it, but it’s less embarrassing to have no app than it is to advertise an old broken app that you gave up on. Respond if you would like me to tell you about some of the things that aren’t working.

### 1/5 — Push notifications still don’t work!

*2019-02-12, version 2.11.6*

Fix the notifications and this app gets at least 4*

### 1/5 — Fix it

*2018-11-26, version 2.10.4*

Make it useful. As it is? Useless... The software in the app doesn’t comply with the current os. Where most users are. Notifications aren’t controles in app, they’re controlled by the os. Can someone buy them a clue or a vowel maybe?

### 1/5 — No notifications

*2018-05-29, version 2.0.6.03*

Please fix the push notifications for refuse and recycle. Emailed the developer and city and they don’t care enough about the service to respond.

Update: now the app is just broken even further. Had to reinstall and now you can’t select the street you reside on. The city nor app developer will fix or respond to your inquiry.

### 1/5 — A previously good app in decline

*2018-05-02, version 2.0.6.03*

The app was useful for reporting city issues and getting recycle and waste collection schedules. Now it just opens the webpage which is poorly optimized for mobile devices. I hope they revert back to the actual app as the current form is useless

### 2/5 — Push notifications don't work

*2016-08-10, version 2.0.6.03*

The app lets you know the collection schedule, but the push notifications do not work. My wife and I both have quit relying on this app because neither of us will get the notifications. Yes..... We have made sure they are turned on. App has issues.

### 1/5 — What's the point?

*2014-06-06, version 1.9.6*

Downloaded for quick easy access to collection schedule and it doesn't even work!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Collection Schedule

*2022-04-13, version 2.22.6*

The app used to allow us to be able to see our refuse, recycling, & yard waste collection schedule. We could refresh it weekly. It was reason I downloaded the app & posted about it on my neighborhood social media forum. You just linked the app to the website now, ridiculous.

### 1/5 — Where did the collection schedule go?

*2022-04-11, version 2.22.6*

The best feature on this app was the trash/recycling/yard waste collection schedule. Now it’s gone. Bring it back!

### 1/5 — Needs work

*2021-03-02, version 2.19.6*

Whole app needs work, articles don’t fit in screen, misaligned buttons, the main menu button overlaps other apple buttons etc. I’m on iPhone 12.

### 1/5 — App stopped working

*2020-03-05, version 2.14.6*

After installing latest update, the app stopped working. Stuck on opening screen (Columbus image), and it doesn’t allow to navigation beyond this page.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work. Says Upgrade on screen

*2020-03-04, version 2.14.6*

I open the app and it says Upgrade. I click on the upgrade link which takes me to the iOS App Store. I have the latest version installed so my only option is to open the app I already have. I tried deleting and reinstalling app but same message to upgrade. This happens on both my iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPad Air Mini running the latest iOS 13.3.1

### 1/5 — Horrible App

*2020-03-04, version 2.14.6*

At first, it worked great. The last couple of months, I’ve had to delete the app and reinstall. And now, the app won’t update at all. I get an error message that states: I must upgrade MyColumbus app to continue. I tap the button to ‘upgrade’, which takes you to the App Store. Then....nothing. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling...nothing. A fix would be appreciated.

### 1/5 — Says update is needed after update.

*2020-01-28, version 2.14.6*

I updated the app and tried to open it but it keeps saying I need to update. Uninstalled and reinstalled but the problem persists.

### 1/5 — New update broke app

*2020-01-28, version 2.14.6*

Tried opening the app and got a pop-up that I needed to upgrade. Took me to the app store where I did the upgrade. After it installed, I tried opening the app and got the same upgrade notification. Tried deleting the app and re-installing, but still have the same notice.

### 1/5 — App Says “need upgrade to continue”

*2020-01-28, version 2.14.6*

But after I upgraded, it still says the same thing or stays frozen on opening screenshot

### 1/5 — App Crashes

*2020-01-26, version 2.13.8*

So trying to check on trash and recycling pickup dates and submit a service request but the app crashes every time I open it. Would give it 0 stars.
