Given what’s going on, I’d suggest a weekly or bi-weekly edition. Otherwise you provide nothing special over sites like Thewarzone.com or the Avionist, among others. Errors? Yeah. Photos with obvious incorrect captions, latest was “KC-46 taking off from Everret,WA. “. Certainly anyone in aerospace knows that was Boeing Field (b/t Seattle and Sea-Tac). It was Seattle skyline in background! And I live in Pittsburgh! Sloppy and elitist would be my complaint. Otherwise good else I’d cancel. ### 4/5 — Combat Aircraft Magazine *2019-06-09* This magazine should be required reading for both civilian & military. One might win the battle but loose the peace. True victory is achieved when you win by outlasting your opponent, victory by attrition. Combat Aircraft gives the reader information about the aircraft, capability, cost of operation. In addition, the reader learns about the air forces around the world & how by working together, the cost of defense is manageable. The app to read it is free. Most of the magazine apps are listed as free, then you pay for the issues. ### 5/5 — Awesome app! *2012-06-03* I've been a longtime reader of combat aircraft magazine, but now those magazines ( like 50 of them) can gather dust because this app is great! Read my favorite magazine anywhere? You can count me in. I've already bought 2 issues (100 pages of military aviation awesomeness!) and will subscribe soon. This doesn't make any sense. Whoever is reading this, make sure you never ever get this, "free," application. ### 1/5 — careful when updating *2012-09-23* latest version stopped my copy from working when I updated to it. Unlike other publications from Tri Active Media Ltd which work well on the iPad Combat Aircraft falls short. Firstly, it doesn't fit to screen leaving a black border around the outside. Secondly, page quality is low compared to its sister publications. I have Flyer, Airliner World and Airforces Monthly installed, all of which use the same Tri Active Media reader and all of which are crisp, clear and fit to the screen. Also, unlike the other titles there is no animation of page turning which although a novel feature shows that there is a different format being used. It works more like a bog standard PDF reader and pages are unreadable due to fuzzy quality unless you pinch to zoom, unlike the others. Great shame as this is an excellent magazine. ### 2/5 — App is nice when it's not crashing *2012-01-05* This app as well as AirForces magazine app (also made by PocketMags) crash on every page I try to read on my iPad. What makes it worse is that every time you restart the app, you have to find your place in the magazine. Aviation magazine and Air International apps at least remember where you left off. ### 2/5 — Content good - reader not so much *2011-12-08* The content is good but I have been unable to register an account whatsoever. Always comes back with check your Internet connection . ### 3/5 — Function on iPad? *2025-02-19* I like this app where it works. However, I’m failing in my attempts to log into my account from my iPad mini while I’m using it without issue on my iPhone. I would rate this app higher if I could use it on my device with higher resolution. The magazine’s photography alone would be more than worth it. ### 3/5 — Publication good / App has problems *2013-02-06* Great publication which I enjoy reading, looking forward to see how it will evolve. Would love to see pics turn into video clips, or slide shows. Or links attached to references (eg see previous articles for story). Being from a younger generation maybe this type of expectation may be a bit off/naive ? But after all downloaded publications owners don't benefit for bonus features like pull outs or posters etc. App was a bit of a disaster to get working, installed ok but then could not access then would shut down as trying to load, after weeks of deleting and re-installing got it workings. They also have special editions for particular aircraft such as the B-52 and most recently the C-130. Keep up the great work.
