## What is Combined Events?

A free combined events calculator for athletes and coaches. Type a time, a distance or a height and the points appear. It works the other way round too: type a score and see what you'd have to do to reach it. Decathlon, heptathlon, indoor heptathlon and indoor pentathlon, all on the official World Athletics tables.

PLAN A COMPETITION
Set a target for every event and see the total you're on track for. Set yourself a goal score and the app works out what you still need from each event to come, updating as every result lands.

ON THE DAY
Put each result in as it happens and watch the total build. Record the wind where it's measured, and keep notes against the day.

COMPARE
Save a competition and hold it up against today's, event by event. Read it as a results sheet, or as a graph showing where you're up and where you've slipped. Your personal bests sit alongside, so a whole career is in one place.

SHARE IT
Once every event is in, share the day as an image. Post it, send it, or save it to your photos.

FOR COACHES
Keep a whole squad on one phone. Every athlete gets their own bests, targets, goals and competitions.

WORKS OFFLINE
Everything runs on your phone. No account, no sign-up, and nothing leaves your device. Your own iPhone and iPad keep in step through iCloud.
Free. No ads, no tracking. Built by an Olympic decathlete.

Combined Events is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by World Athletics.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.6.0 — 2026-09-28

Share your results
Finish every event and a Share button appears under your total. Swipe through a results card and a page for each running event, then post it, send it, or save it to your photos.

Save straight from the calculator
The same row has Save competition, so a day you have just scored goes onto the athlete without typing it in twice.

Wind readings
Record the wind for the 100m, long jump and 110m hurdles in the decathlon, and the 100m hurdles, long jump and 200m in the heptathlon. The box opens when you tap into the event and settles to a line under its name.

Goals that explain themselves
The goals section now tells you what it does before you set one, and waits until your targets are in. There is a "How goals work" page, and every mark you still need sits on a coloured tag.

Your athlete at the top
Whoever you are scoring for sits at the top of the menu. A profile only appears once you have saved something, so the app stays clean until you fill it.

Read it before you change it
A saved competition opens to be read, not edited. Your event PBs do the same. Tap Edit when you mean to change something.

Colour-blind friendly follows your iPhone
Turn on Differentiate Without Colour in iOS Settings and the goals table switches to its colour-blind scale by itself. Flip the app's own switch and your choice wins from then on.

Also fixed
Labels on the compare graph no longer overlap. The scorecard fades its events properly as they pass under the totals. The indoor pentathlon has its spacing back.
