## What is Combustor?

*** Note: Combustor is an Audio Unit effect extension and requires an AUv3 compatible host app, like Logic Pro, Drambo or GarageBand. It does not run as a standalone app ***

Combustor is a unique, wild resonating body fashioned to spice up or extremely transform your tracks. At the heart of Combustor is a custom time bending resonator that doesn't sound like anything you have heard before.

You can create anything from vibrant, distorted texture, perfectly suited for "hardcore" electronic musicians, to subtle physical resonance, which is often lacking in synthesized sounds.

Combustor contains an envelope follower, to create dynamic-controlled pitch or filter sweeps. It also has MIDI input, that controls resonator's pitch, to make something melodic and organic out of non-melodic sounds, like drums.

With just a few knob turns, a boring sound can be turned into screaming madness that sounds like it went out of control.

A simple and straightforward interface makes Combustor a performative tool that allows you to directly interact with your sound.

I’ve seen in the change log that you have worked on this already a couple of times at least … Nevertheless I still find that I can’t automate more than one parameter at once in AUM … Combustor only seems to “listen” to the first MIDI CC that I address to it. I.e. : I’m trying to automate the Dry/Wet and the Resolution parameters simultaneously and only the first one that gets a CC starts modulating accordingly … The other CC’s seem to be ignored … It really would be great if you could please fix that or find me a workaround since I love what I hear very much .. . Thank you !!!

I wrote a review saying it does not work in AUM, suddenly started working. Is a great plugin, a bit wild and somewhat difficult to control, but it does produce weird delicious textures and sounds

Sunrizer was one of the 1st synths I ever bought (over a decade ago) and I’m so glad this developer is still unleashing exotic sonic mayhem upon us! As soon as I heard this I was really intrigued as I just *love* resonators (and unique FX) and this is really special on both counts! It reacts to the input signal (envelope follower etc) so it can be used subtly to create weird and wonderful spatial relationships (time shifting), or driven harder on phat synths and beats to radically evolve them. It’s such a useful dynamic effect too as you can mix the dry/wet result (or carve it up via mixing in AUM) and feed it back in rhythmically, basically lots of creative potential! It’s also beautifully designed (I love colour) and so intuitive and fun!

This is a great sounding resonator with unique twists but sadly it doesn’t respond to MIDI cc control when loaded into AUM, makes it impossible to use with my hardware controller:( Hopefully this will be fixed in an update
