### 2/5 — Not intuitive

*2026-01-30, version 1.10.004*

Seems like it’s logical but does not do what I think it should. Limited to no literature or instructions online. Would love to love it but can’t make it work properly. Limited temperature ranges.

### 2/5 — Fancy looking but cumbersome and not intuitive

*2026-01-10, version 1.10.004*

The app and wall mounted interface are fancy looking but when you go to actually use them they are cumbersome to use and not intuitive at all. I never use the set temps because the system is so sensitive that it is constantly going on and off. Because it is right outside my bedroom it wakes me up all night long. I find it better to just turn the system off completely and if I’m cold or hot I turn it on and off manually to limit the noise. I realize this is supposedly less efficient than allowing the system to maintain the temp but it is too loud. I have asked multiple times if I can swap out the interface for a Nest thermostat and I have been told no…I’m really tempted to try and swap it out myself just because this thermostat interface is so not user friendly.

### 3/5 — Needs more flexibility

*2024-11-30, version 1.10.004*

Needs more flexibility to be as good as my old EcoBee. Needs to let the user add more trigger times, as the app only allows 4. (EcoBee allows many more). Needs to be able to turn off the gradual heating between trigger times so the user can actually control the temperature precisely.

### 3/5 — Will changes stick or not?

*2024-09-05, version 1.07.509*

As others have said, this app is handy when it works. Changes I make to the simple temperature or mode, or to a mode’s schedule, often don’t actually take — especially, ironically, when I make them within my house! It seems to work better when I’m away from home. The navigation on this app (including on the wall unit) has never been great , but I can get past that if this app would just reliably connect.

### 3/5 — Apple HomeKit

*2024-03-08, version 1.07.509*

It would be nice if it was able to be paired with Apple HomeKit.

### 2/5 — Won’t sync

*2024-02-26, version 1.07.509*

This app won’t even sync with the thermostat. Say to check the wifi connection for the thermostat but the thermostat is working correct. This app is trash.

### 2/5 — Too little control for user

*2024-02-19*

The app/thermostat sort of does the basics, but gives the user too little control. I want my furnace to turn on at 5:00 AM, but this app/thermostat won't do that. It let's me set a 5:00 temperature, but the system will turn on an hour earlier to start warming the house. This wakes me up at 4:00. There's no way to set the thermostat actually to start the furnace at the time that you want. I've talked to customer support to confirm this. What's the point of a scheduler if the thermostat makes its own decisions to override your schedule? You also are limited to only 4 daily change times in each schedule (wake, leave, return, night), so you can't fine-tune your schedule beyond those times. Ecobee (which I used until I bought a new furnace that requires Comfort Sync), is so much more flexible; it adheres to the schedule you set and allows adding/removing change times.

### 3/5 — Loading issues

*2024-02-16, version 1.07.509*

My two issues are it takes too long to load my three thermostats and my floors are not in order with no way to change them.

### 2/5 — Features don’t work

*2023-11-13, version 1.07.509*

You can tell this app was developed by a team of B and C players. Slow, features don’t work, app crashes. Just not up to par. I regret buying a heat pump system that uses Comfort Sync. Avoid at all costs.

### 1/5 — The connection gets dropped too much

*2023-08-28, version 1.07.047*

In my 20yrs of owning my prior thermostat that was hard wired to the furnace, I’ve had to cycle power to it zero times in that 20yrs to re-establish a “connection”. In the 4 months I’ve had this new thermostat, I’ve now had to cycle power twice to re-establish a connection. #disappointed Additionally all my TVs are of the streaming variety now, and I’ve never lost a connection more than once per year, so save me the poor wi-fi explanation.

### 1/5 — Terrible UI Performance

*2023-08-17, version 1.07.047*

This app never works immediately. There’s always a massive delay and takes 15-30 seconds to load. Really disappointing.

### 1/5 — App needs more QA

*2023-08-02, version 1.07.047*

As several others have mentioned, if you have multiple zones, the UII will spontaneously jump back to the first thermostat in your list.

The + and - temp buttons on all secondary zones don’t work. Instead it displays 0 as the new desired temp.

You are forced to carefully use an analog simulated wheel to make the temp change and if you don’t perfectly select the wheel, the ui will panic and scroll back all the way to the first thermostat.

There’s also the caching problem, where it lies to you. Sometimes, you can make changes and it throws them away. So, be sure to go back and check a few minutes later.

Somewhat related to the caching problem, the system will not allow you to leave the fan running all the time. Well the UI will tell you that it’s set to on, but as soon as your next scheduled event occurs, it takes over the fan again and sets it to auto.

So, if you want to follow the guidance of your HVAC installer and leave the fan running 24/7, you can’t use schedules.

There’s no way any executive at the company uses this app. I wonder whose HVAC system they use, I should switch to one that works.

### 2/5 — It’s fine -

*2023-07-20, version 1.07.047*

It’s fine. It can be glitchy and there are times when I am away with full cell and WiFi service but the system claims it can’t be reached.
Most important is that it will not sync with a smart home system like Apple or Amazon. I don’t know about the others.

### 4/5 — Comfort sync

*2023-07-18, version 1.07.047*

The app was marginal before I updated the app now it’s almost worthless. It only connects maybe 10% of the time and the away setting doesn’t work at all. I can be right in front of my router and it only connects maybe 1 out of 10 times

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App doesn’t update

*2025-10-13, version 1.10.004*

Most frustrating app, won’t sync to system properly. So annoying!

### 1/5 — User

*2025-08-31, version 1.10.004*

The app randomly changes temperature settings. Very frustrating.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2025-07-28, version 1.10.004*

This thermostat is significantly over engineered and does not work well. Trying to get the app to work properly is challenging and the support line is of little help.

### 1/5 — App

*2024-10-15, version 1.07.509*

App doesn’t update iOS 18 waste of money

### 1/5 — App

*2024-09-25*

App keeps disconnecting from thermostat. What a waste

### 1/5 — Not able to log in

*2024-07-19, version 1.07.509*

Not able to log in, request unavailable 50.3. Nothing has worked with this thermostat I’m on my second panel already and I got it Dec 2023.

### 1/5 — Horrible connection makes app useless

*2024-06-27, version 1.07.509*

The app can’t log in 95 percent of the time. It says “no internet available” when every other internet-dependent app on the phone is workin great. Like other companies in recent years, there is no practical way to speak to a technician.

Hoping this review will get some kind of response

### 1/5 — So many bugs

*2024-06-05, version 1.07.509*

Works about 25% of the time.

### 1/5 — Help!

*2024-05-21, version 1.07.509*

Just how do you get help? I can run the thermostat if I log into safari on my phone but I can’t log into the app! Called the number to talk to someone, they had to give me another number. That person had no idea how to help me. Don’t you have a software tech? I was told to call my installer. Are you kidding? It’s your app. And don’t tell me to uninstall the app. The app already has all my info from when I registered. You can’t permanently uninstall an app. When you install it again it brings back all the previous information. I have tried it a dozen times. I have tried changing my password a dozen times or more. Who can help me???

### 1/5 — Automatic settings ARE A JOKE

*2023-09-10, version 1.07.047*

Either that or I am an idiot after talking to the guy trying to help me - four times.

I have a three zone system. They cannot be individually programmed.

It cannot be done. Unbelievably disappointing. I wish I could use a Nest.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2026-01-10, version 1.10.004*

I thought it would be complicated to use but it’s actually well designed so not confusing. I like I can lower the exterior temp I want the auxiliary heat to be used at because I don’t like for that to run at its own whim since it is not as efficient as the heat pump. I have a high efficiency system so it should be able to keep up at low temps but often the aux heat gets turned on if you make a large temperature swing more than 1.5 to 2 degrees so that it warms as quickly as possible…I don’t need that feature, I only want it if the system can’t keep up in the extreme cold and so I set it as such. Controls the variable speed communicating indoor and outdoor units nicely allowing them to operate at the highest efficiency possible. Other non proprietary thermostats only allow variable speed systems to run at one of two speeds which takes away from the high efficiency characteristics of a variable speed system that monitors the room temperature conditions as well as outdoor conditions to choose the best speed possible for the ultimate in energy efficiency. Only complaint is that it lacks showing what percentage of speed it is currently running at which would be nice to see but not required. So far it is doing a great job to maintain the set temperature and also quickly heat when the set temp is raised. I like that it has a 10 year warranty since it is a touchscreen “mini iPad” type device so I’m protected should it stop working for 10 years.

### 5/5 — Works Great

*2024-12-20, version 1.10.004*

Very functional and easy to use.

### 5/5 — Howie Siegel

*2024-10-18, version 1.07.509*

Best heating and cooling system in my life and lm old.

### 5/5 — Two stage

*2024-07-28, version 1.07.509*

App is great. Would like for the app to show when it is either in two stage or single stage cooling mode. That would put this app in elite status.

### 5/5 — Works great now!

*2023-10-30, version 1.07.500*

This app used to have some serious glitches. Well, someone finally paid attention to the reviews and fixed it. Everything works great now. The app is responsive, all buttons work, and it will even stay on the zone that you were last adjusting without jumping back to the first zone. Way to go guys! Thanks for listening.

### 5/5 — Amazing Comfort Ultra efficient

*2023-06-18, version 1.07.047*

User friendly, Nice screen graphics, My contractor get notified if any alerts are present. Weather status and alerts. System status and More. Thank You Armstrong Air and Bravo Heating and Air for this amazing ultra efficient HVAC system.

### 5/5 — Comfort Sync

*2023-05-29, version 1.07.047*

Excellent thermostat device while you are home and when you are away from home! You never have to wonder if your furnace is working while away from home in the winter, or if the air and dehumidifier are working when traveling in the summer! Simply check your phone app! The thermostat is user friendly, and very easy to set! I would definitely buy this thermostat again! It also allows the service associate to check your system out right at the thermostat! Great product!!!

### 5/5 — Above average

*2023-05-18, version 1.06.017*

My overall experience with the A3 is great. The connection from the app to the stat could be quicker and more consistent but, if the A3 is connected to Wi-Fi, the updates and the ability to control the system in more than just heat/cool is phenomenal.

### 5/5 — Fix connective

*2021-11-18, version 1.06.017*

When are you going to fix application?

### 4/5 — Limited flexibility

*2024-09-11, version 1.07.509*

Why can’t I set temps hourly?
