Thank you for existing.💕 ### 5/5 — Really good for comic makers *2025-03-25* I’ve always had the trouble of finding panels that are the same style but also keeping the text in the speech bubbles the same size in each one. This app has solved both those problems. gives me various pages of panels that are all the same styles and keeps the does the speech bubbles for me. Now I can create each panel separately and simply place it on the page when done. That app helps save me a lot of the troubles I had before. I click ok, but it never goes back to let me save the image ### 3/5 — Good Tool - UI Could Improve *2025-01-03* You can realize your quick comic book ideas with this app. The layouts, bubbles, and stickers are great. There are a two focus areas that would make this app more enjoyable to work with. Saving, organizing, and navigating your work is confusing and scary. When I create a book, how do I navigate to and edit the next page? Why am I getting a message that my work may be lost when I had just saved? And positioning items is scary. Sometimes, the 'Lock Button' for a panel image is hidden by speech bubbles. I would love to see a menu that shows me where I am and allows me to navigate elsewhere. Am I editing a singular page? Am I viewing a book? Am I editing a page within a book? There should probably be a main menu. The tools are there, and they are great tools. The interface just makes me nervous that I'm going to lose or mess up my creations. **Developer response:** ComicBook! always works on a single page. If you just saved then your work is saved. It asks if you want to keep elements for possible reuse (for example you want to change the layout but keep the captions and stickers you have). Any pages saved are really saved, you don't have to worry about that. The book feature is independent of any pages you've created and just allows you to add existing pages to a book. Deleting the book does not delete your saved pages. Only deleting saved pages will delete them. If we put the lock buttons above everything else, it would interfere with the content. The only time you are viewing a book is when you view a book. Anytime you create a book you are using the current version of the page. If the page changes, it will not change in the book. It does what it promises…lets you create comic book pages rather easily. It has a load of comic-style effects you can add, and many, many page layout options. After working through the learning curve, you’ll be able to create some pretty nice-looking comic pages. However… The developers needs to add A LOT of standard features… —The ability to copy elements such as dialog bubbles, titles, etc. —The ability to simply copy the contents of one layout cell into another one, if most of the elements are going to be the same —The Save functionality on this app is CLUNKY, and kind of frightening until you get used to it! Why can’t there be a Save icon on the page I am working on? —Speaking of Save…that Save button I wish for should also offer the ability to save the current page as a different page, with a different name easily. —For some reason, if you add one of the special effect stickers…you can’t delete it! So you’d better be sure you like it! —Some elements give you the ability to resize them to better fit the text you write in them…but they don’t have resize handles to easily do that. You end up having to tap the dang element several times in order to make it finally realize that you want to resize it. —Considering it is a comic book-creating app, it would be nice to have the ability to arc or curve Headlines or Titles to give them a different kind of effect on the page. —Folders in the “Pages” section would be nice, so that I can group the pages for each episode of my comic separately, making them A LOT easier to find. —A pen or brush type tool would be handy. Fine, I draw the images for my comic in a different app, but having a pen in this app would be useful for drawing the odd line here and there if need be. —Bold or Italics: It would be nice if I could bold or italicize individual words in speech bubbles, etc. These suggestions I’m making aren’t revolutionary…They are the basic kind of function/features that are in just about every creative/artsy app I use, and they are what I expect. The bottom line is this: This is a good app, and it’s definitely letting me create comic pages…but it’s letting me do so with far more effort needed than should be necessary, and it’s letting me do so while wishing I had other features. I’ll keep using it, but don’t be surprised if you see me shopping on the App Store, looking for another, more robust comic page creator that I’d be willing to purchase. ### 3/5 — Good app for creating what you want *2024-05-21* I really enjoy the app. It works great to help me create study materials for herbs in school. The one problem I have with it that is problematic, is consolidation of files and uploading the finished comic book as a full PDF either to Email or to a computer. This causes a challenge with transferring the comic book to another device, or the finished product for storage elsewhere. I also have a few glitches switching between pages and the comic books. **Developer response:** We don't understand what the issue with saving full PDF is. I prefer Book Creator, and thats the worst of the worst! Piss off, ComicBook! ### 1/5 — A little deflated. *2026-02-08* So excited to put some fun graphics together. On iPad the app totally stalled. The pics brought into the frames became inaccessible after the first one. Couldn’t save and move to another frame. Secondly, after you buy the app, thinking you will be able to create, they draw you in to buying the tools you need to actually make something. But those small packages of fun stickers etc. are only 99 cents. So if open to that. Ok. I might change my rating down the road. Not a fan. ### 1/5 — Vrai prix: 2,99+5,99≈ 9€ *2023-09-03* Donc 9€ pour faire le minimum et ensuite pour les stickers, ceux de bases sont pas terrible et ils proposent des packs de stickers a 0,99€. Alors le prix augmente encore plus… De plus il n’y a pas d’effet pour avoir des textures de papier différentes (effet vieilli ou jauni , avec des pixels pour donner un meilleur effet) Bref, appli sympa mais vraiment basic pour le prix! A la base j’étais sur halftone il y a des années. Mais ne fonctionnant plus j’ai du en télécharger une qui fonctionne sur iPhone 13… Comic book m’a parut vraiment pas mal sur l’AppStore mais après achat je suis un peu déçu. En résumé, trop cher pour le rendu de cette application. ### 1/5 — Not suitable for kids *2023-02-19, version 2.9.3* I downloaded the app for my son who draws his own comic characters and thought it would be a great way to create his own comic book. Lucky I tried it with him the first time because when we were looking for an image of an explosion and used the Flickr add in option some pornographic images came up. And very explicit I might add, adults engaging in acts. There is no warning for this on the App Store and there is no way from what I can see that this function can be disabled. I won’t be able to let him use this on his own which defeats the purpose. Very disappointing and frightening. ### 1/5 — Very limited functionality *2023-01-07* Not as advertised. It is very reasonably priced and doesn’t fall to the subscription based service garbage. The few in app upgrades are also priced reasonably and well worth it but the app is already awesome without them. Thank you for letting me purchase my app instead of renting it. The photo filters are amazing and look exactly like hand drawn comic books. The flip the page animation when you turn pages is a nice extra that makes the app seem even more professionally done. Took a picture of an action figure posed, and within minutes had a comic page ready with dialog. The possible uses for this app are literally limitless with a bit of creativity and imagination.
