## What is ComicFlow?

ComicFlow converts CBR and CBZ comic archives to PDF, reads them directly, and organizes your collection — 100% offline and private. No ads, no account, no subscription.

CONVERT CBR/CBZ TO PDF
Convert comic book archives to PDF with one tap. ComicFlow extracts every page from your CBR, CBZ, RAR, and ZIP files and builds a clean, correctly ordered PDF in seconds.

- Three quality settings: Low for sharing, Medium for everyday reading, High for collectors
- Batch conversion: queue multiple files and watch per-file progress

CBZ EXPORT — FREE FOR EVERYONE
Turn any comic into a standard CBZ that opens natively on Kobo, Boox, PocketBook, KOReader, and practically every comic reader app. No re-encoding, no quality loss. Included in the base app — no purchase needed.

READ COMICS DIRECTLY — NO CONVERSION NEEDED
Open CBR, CBZ, and PDF files instantly in the built-in reader, optimized for high-resolution comic pages.

- Double-tap or pinch to zoom into artwork
- Tap zones for one-handed page turns
- Reading position saved automatically for every file
- Bookmark pages and jump back anytime

ORGANIZE YOUR COLLECTION
- Custom collections for series or genres
- 5-star ratings, personal notes, and tags
- Reading status: unread, reading, completed
- Instant search; filter by publisher, year, genre, rating, or status
- ComicInfo.xml metadata read automatically

FLEXIBLE READING MODES
- Single page, double-page spread, or vertical scroll for webtoons
- Right-to-left page order for manga
- Thumbnail grid for quick navigation
- Full iPad keyboard control: arrow keys, Space, T for thumbnails, B for bookmarks, and more

iCLOUD SYNC
Reading progress, bookmarks, ratings, and notes sync across your Apple devices. Optional, no account needed — and it never uploads your comic files.

COMICFLOW PRO — OPTIONAL, ONE-TIME UPGRADE
The base app is complete and stays that way. Pro is a single in-app purchase — pay once, keep it forever, no subscription — that adds:

- Face ID-locked collections: keep private comics behind Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode
- Reader presets: save your manga, western, and webtoon setups and switch in one tap
- EPUB export for e-readers: fixed-layout EPUB3 tuned for Kobo, Boox, reMarkable, and PocketBook, with a .kepub option for Kobo
- E-ink image optimization: auto-crop, contrast and sharpening tuned per device, grayscale palettes, double-page splitting for manga, webtoon strip splitting

An honest note on Kindle: Kindle devices don't open sideloaded EPUB files. ComicFlow's EPUB export works together with the free Calibre desktop app to get comics onto a Kindle — the app explains the exact steps instead of pretending it's one tap.

100% OFFLINE AND PRIVATE
No internet required. No account. No tracking. No ads. Your comics stay on your device, and your reading habits are nobody's business but yours.

FAIR PRICING
You pay for the app once and get the full converter, reader, and library. Pro is optional and also a one-time purchase. Nothing renews, expires, or nags you.

SUPPORTED FORMATS
CBR, CBZ, RAR, ZIP, and PDF — opened from the Files app, email, cloud storage, or any sharing app.

IN 18 LANGUAGES
English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, Polish, Dutch, Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese, Ukrainian, and Swedish.

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2026-07-03*

Love it! Free version is already great, but Pro takes ComicFlow to the next level.
The Pro version looks like a must-have for anyone who wants to unlock the full experience.

### 1/5 — app crash on larger cbz files

*2026-06-24*

large comics dont work, app crash after 30 sek, the comic work with 1.4.3. the sides are random with the 3.0 version on older version it worked flawless. so the is not longer usabel for cbz files

**Developer response:** Hi Astidur,

Sorry about this. Both issues you described were real bugs, and they're fixed in version 3.1, which is in review now and should be out soon.

The crash on large CBZ files was a memory issue. Big comics used too much memory while the PDF was being built, so the app got killed after a few seconds. We changed the way PDFs are generated so that no longer happens, whatever the file size.

The pages showing up in the wrong order happened with comics that keep their pages in separate chapter folders. That's sorted out now too, so pages stay in the right order.

Once 3.1 is live and you update, your large files should convert and read fine again. If anything is still off, write to us at https://applestan.com/comicflow/support/, and if you can include the file that failed it will help us check it.

Thanks for the report. It was clear and made the problem easy to find.

Navid

### 5/5 — Does the job and great support

*2026-04-29*

I had initially picked this up to read a couple of 1000+ pages CBR but the app was crashing after being open for a short amount of time. I sent a support email in and within no time at all the dev responded and had organized a patch for the next update. Great experience!

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for the kind words and for taking the time to report the issue. Those large CBRs were exactly the kind of edge case I needed a real-world example of, so your email genuinely helped. Really glad the patch sorted it out for you, and happy reading!

### 5/5 — Totally recommend it

*2026-03-31*

Super easy to use and works exactly as expected. Converting CBR/CBZ to PDF is fast and smooth. Really happy with this app.

ComicFlow 3.2

SEND YOUR LIBRARY TO YOUR E-READER
Exporting for a Kindle, Kobo, Boox, reMarkable or PocketBook no longer means converting a file again. Long-press any comic in your library and choose "Export for E-Reader" — including comics you converted to PDF months ago.

CRASH FIXES
• Sharing a comic on iPad no longer quits the app
• Large CBZ files no longer run out of memory while being read
• The reader handles damaged and empty PDFs safely
• Comics zipped on a Mac now convert instead of failing
• Pages saved as GIF, BMP, TIFF or HEIC are no longer skipped

Still a one-time purchase. No subscription, no ads, ever.
