## What is ComicLand?

ComicLand is the ultimate comic book collection manager for serious collectors by a collector. Whether you're tracking a long run of single issues, building a wishlist for your next trip to the comic shop, or cataloguing a decades-old collection, ComicLand keeps everything organized and at your fingertips.

Your collection, your way

Add comics manually or pull data directly from Comic Vine, League of Comic Geeks, BDGest, or Whakoom. Covers, issue numbers, story arcs, creators, characters — it all comes in automatically. Browse by series, publisher, or creator, and switch between list, grid, and compact layouts to match how you think about your books.

Know what you have — and what you want

Filter your entire collection by status: owned, on order, on your wishlist, for sale, for trade, loaned out, or not yet in the collection. Set a priority on wishlist items so you know exactly what to grab next. Filters cascade across every view — series, publishers, creators — so you always see a consistent picture of your collection.

Covers that look great

Tap any cover to flip through all the images in a series. Capture covers with your camera, import from your photo library, or let ComicLand pull them from the web. Full-size images support pinch-to-zoom and swipe navigation, and a long press copies any image to the clipboard.

Deep data for deep collectors

Each issue has room for everything: cover and purchase dates, price paid, condition, rating, notes, story arcs, characters, teams, locations, concepts, and objects — all linked to searchable creator and character profiles. The timeline view on every creator and character page shows every issue they appear in, filtered by your active collection status.

Your collection can backed up to and restored from Documents to give you an extra safety net.

Built for iOS 26

ComicLand is a fully Swift-native app rebuilt from the ground up for iOS 26, with Liquid Glass design, full dark mode support, and fluid tab swiping. It supports 14 languages: English, Arabic, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Russian, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, and Chinese (Hong Kong).

Scan barcodes to look up issues in your collection instantly. Add a widget to your Home Screen or Lock Screen for quick access to recent series.

### 3/5 — Hoping for a new update

*2018-03-02*

It’s been a year since this app has been updated; I hope the developer would continue developing this app which has great potential...

For years, I’ve tried many Comics Collection app, and Comicsland comes close to being the perfect app for it.
Still have some flaws though, such as:

- crashes randomly... added issues would not be added, covers and even Publishers Logo will just disappear.
- Bug in Adding comics... the dialog box with options to add it to (owned/ordered/wish list...) doesn’t appear all the time, sometimes you’ll see the bottom of the box.... finally figured out that I need to scroll at the topmost page before the dialog box will appear properly. (A hassle if you’re adding issues way at the bottom of the list)
- sometimes some cover images don’t show.
- searching issues need to be improved. Ie., Action Comics have 900+ issues. If I want to add issues 902-910, I’ll have to scroll a looooong time to reach it. and then sometimes the app crashes after all that effort. :/
- Backup function is faulty; does not have a “backup now” button after selecting folder. or there is no “backup finished” message.
- Wishlist: subfolders with ability to manually input and organise them would be nice. (For example, I want to be able to put subfolders for DC...Golden Age, Silver Age, post Crisis, New 52, DC Rebirth)

Still, despite the bugs and flaws, I will stick to this app because it still lets me do what I want. The access to comic vine’s database is great. I’ve see other apps expect you to input all the details (writer/artist etc) manually . How are you supposed to do that with hundreds or thousands in your collection...

### 4/5 — Great app

*2015-11-05*

I tried several other similar apps to this one and they were all disappointing. This app is easy to use and has great features. It dose have some flaws though. It crashes when searching sometime. This app has a lot of potential for growth.

### 3/5 — New comic database app has potential to be great!

*2015-07-30*

I did not know what I was going to get with a free comic database app but I am pleased with it. I liked the layout and the info for each comic and I can find pretty much any comic to add. Some room for improvement though: There are some major bugs that need worked on. The app crashes a lot when searching. Scanning barcodes only worked on the graphic novels and not on the individual comics "direct sale" barcode. Need a better search engine because cannot search by issue # or by sub title. It crashes when expanding search. Can't wait to see the bugs get worked out because it's full of potential. Will rate again w next update.

Swipe to delete recent searches — swipe left on a recent search — in the main search, Comic Vine search, Geeks search, or GCD search — to delete just that one, the same way Safari does
Smarter, faster series covers — when a series has no cover of its own, the fallback now picks a single issue's cover first, then a trade paperback's, then a hardcover's; also fixed a slowdown in the Home/Series list caused by that lookup, and now caches the result so it isn't recomputed on every scroll
