I haven’t gotten notifications from the app for several days now and this is not the first time it has happened. You write to support but no one contacts you back. The app offers a seemingly random selection of news on comics and comics-related properties on screen. It also frequently adds news on anime and games and (for some reason) professional wrestling. Sometime the complete story is accessible directly in the app, but the content is altered and often doesn’t include images. Do not use this app unless you like having every story you care about spoiled for you. ### 4/5 — Comics Hub *2018-05-06, version 1.0* Comics Hub is a very good news and feature source for those interested in regularly reading about many of today most popular pop culture brands including Marvel, DC, Star Wars and more. Articles regarding their insemination into comics, film, and television is the main focus. Users can heavily customize their news feed to display what topics they like, block ones you don’t or just simply read all the latest news. Users can also share articles, saved articles for later, set push notifications for topics you want to know right away and chat with fellow users as well. The sources for articles are a mix of reputable sites as well as passionate fans who have blogs and social media video channels. The app overall is well worth a download due to its easy to use interface, allowance of what content displays due to your preferences and the content itself which is a mix of industry news, fun features articles regarding properties themselves and just the overall entertainment factor. ### 2/5 — Pretty cool but watch out for spoilers *2017-08-28, version 1.0* Not even two hours after the new Game of Thrones episode airs and I get a notification that has a huge spoiler about the season finale... not cool, not cool at all ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Good content, bad app *2025-08-23, version 7.1.0* This app is virtually unusable due to the invasive ads. It’s not just an app with ads, these ads force watch and have no way to close them. If an ad is somehow cheesed and closed, the article aggregation is good, but then another ad pops up and renders the app unusable again. What a waste! ### 1/5 — Non-stop ads!!! *2024-07-29, version 1.0.10* Recently watching the Deadpool/Wolverine movie re-sparked my interest for comic books and comic book films. I prefer reading news within mobile apps and this is literally the only app that comes up when searching for comic book news. I’ve used this app in the past and thoroughly enjoyed it. The frequency is the ads is unbearable. I was trying to get acquainted with the updated format but couldn’t do a thing due to ad after ad just from barely scrolling. As a result, you’ll be treated to disgusting, misogynistic and racist comments without any way of disabling or avoiding them. It's absolutely full of timely and interesting content that is curated from a wide variety of sources. I'm a long time comic book collector and the folks who maintain this app know what they're doing. I'm also a huge fan of pop culture relating to movies about fantasy, sci-fi and of course, comic related cinema. All of the content is carefully and thoughtfully presented and updated constantly. It's a really cool thing to be able to get access to such an eclectic mix of content all in one place. My thanks to all of the talented and hard working people who put so much effort and research to make this app such a great way to be informed and connected.
