### 3/5 — Good but Full of Issues

*2026-08-05, version 3.9.8*

I use it on my iPad with ios 18, since i don't want to update. I like this app especially because of the Peek feature. Which i don't have in Safari. It makes it convenient to check out links and sites without leaving a page. Though the app is also several lacking. Such as clipboard. I can't use clipboard and need to always type every link manually. If i change Websites to the Desktop Version, the page zoom doesn't work. If i text-select words, the context menu is missing “look up” and other things.

### 4/5 — Default zoom % 🙏 Notion still broken?

*2026-07-21*

Thanks for updating! Default zoom % setting please? 🙏

Not sure if still true…
- syncing to Notion fails silently (in fact claims to sync)
 - crashes every time I long-press a piece of highlighted text, choose Journal, then OK it.

More demanding asks ... 1⃣ Notion integration needs reworking IMO so that tags made in Command stay attached to specific highlights (as they are when they are created in Command) . Currently, when sent to Notion, tags get rolled up into a bundle as a property of a URL and as a result information (that tag X was attached to highlight Y) is LOST. To fix this, I think the Highlights table needs to have each *highlight* as its entity/row/granularity, rather than URL. Ideally a related "Pages" table with URL as base would store page title and page-scope comments. If that's hard (or not possible to auto-populate related fields?) then URL and page title could just be properties of each highlight in the Highlight table, with those values repeated for each highlight in a page. 2⃣ I really miss being able to highlight also from my laptop and to see highlights I've made in the past. A Chrome extension would be perfect. 3⃣ Data protection: I'd love to know that my Notion data isn't being exposed to accidental sharing or even erasing.

### 2/5 — Sad. Sync broken and crashes

*2025-07-06, version 3.9.6*

So disappointing. I ❤️d you Command but ...
syncing to Notion fails silently (in fact claims to sync) , crashes every time I long-press a piece of highlighted text, choose Journal, then OK it. Thanks!

Maybe Notion limitations make that impossible to guarantee but I suggest you at least warn of what could happen

### 3/5 — Sync broken. 3.9.6 crashes. Notion sync and Chrome extension please??

I ❤️ you Command but ...

### 3/5 — “Open in Command” on Safari stopped working since last update

*2023-12-10*

I like to use Safari in conjunction with Command, because Safari feels faster for general browsing. That said, Command’s highlighting features are unmatched. I’ve tried using different extensions and apps for web highlighting, but none feel as good as Command. I love that Command will still show the highlight on the screen, even after reloading the page. The Readwise integration
is also very nice, and I like that tags added in Command carry over to Readwise. Not even Readwise’s own app lets you add tags right from the web page on mobile — you have to manually open the app and add tags later.

Unfortunately, I’ve been using Command less and less lately because the Share -> Open in Command button in Safari hasn’t been working since the last update two months ago. Pressing Open in Command just takes me to a blank white web page, and it has to do with how Command has been automatically formatting web links. Links sent from Safari to Command will open as https// instead of https://. It’s been super inconvenient to have to manually edit every link myself just so the page will open. Please fix this.

### 4/5 — Highlights

*2023-11-09, version 3.9.6*

Can’t see highlights in dark mode and reader view and also how do i change the reader view colours?

### 4/5 — So near yet so far away

*2023-10-19*

First of all: I really hope the developer/s will read this. I am a fellow dev (I know the joy and the pain) so my next sentence comes with a grain of salt.

This is the way mobile browsing need to be addressed, in my opinion. The pop up system is a leap forward and it is by itself a triple A feature, the tab system is finally usable and snappy and although much will surely be done the overall experience is really great. Kudos.

The less nice part of the review follows.

- What happened to copy and paste ?
Basically, long pressing on a selection or on a text box or input box results (at least here) in a nice small menu with some autoFill option with password and contacts. No copy no paste no share … I looked around especially for copy and paste but still no luck here . Surely I may be looking into the wrong place but still

- Blocking files ?
Many times, especially when loading viewable files like pdf or when loading files that appears as metadata (like epub) and are not downloaded immediately . It happens when the connection is slow either on my or on server side. Let’s say the file is big and it takes twenty seconds to load: I have no easy way to cancel the loading and the done button does not work. The browser is responsive I mean I can do some kind of random taps and achieve the tab menu and I have the bar loading but still

Thanks again

### 2/5 — 3.9.6 crashes constantly. Notion sync and Chrome extension please??

### 4/5 — Bien pensée

*2023-10-01, version 3.9.6*

### 2/5 — 3.9.6 crashes constantly. Great but… Notion sync and Chrome extension please??

Really nice app! I'd really appreciate a few things... 1⃣ Notion integration needs fixing IMO so that tags made in Command stay attached to specific highlights (as they are when they are created in Command) . ### 5/5 — Excellent app, very useful for Internet research

Thank you for it

### 4/5 — Great but… Notion sync and Chrome extension please??

### 4/5 — Icon Resolution

*2023-03-26, version 3.9.4*

It is a perfect app, just please make the light app icon have a better resolution.

### 4/5 — Hi Devs

*2023-01-24, version 3.9.2*

The aspect ratio on my macbook is weird it gets very small and there're no options to enlarge it such as what google chrome provide. it almost becomes my daily driver and also i bought it because it worked so well on my phone. but pls fix the mac version.

### 5/5 — Meilleure trouvaille de 2023 pour moi, de loin, déjà !

*2023-01-19, version 3.9.2*

*2023-01-15, version 3.9.2*

I read the producer's column on development and could feel his enthusiasm for the browser. When we are simply browsing, we get caught up in the swirl of information and sometimes make the wrong choices.　This app, however, helps us to organize and navigate through the waves of information. I also use this app to study languages. Thank you for a great app. Please keep developing it.　From Japan.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — keyboard shortcuts not working

*2023-11-20, version 3.9.6*

sadly i am not able to switch tabs, the keyboard shortcuts are not working :( that has an immense negative effect on productivity and workflow

### 1/5 — Deletes highlights

*2022-12-29*

This browser is okay, but it could be better. When I first started using it worked well. I was able to highlight webpages, leave, come back, and the highlights would still be there. Recently, however, the app has started to delete my highlights and on some webpages I can’t even highlight the text. I’m gonna look for an alternative to this browser because it’s just been getting worse

### 1/5 — Not very intuitive

*2022-05-19, version 3.7.9*

This is difficult to figure out how to use. It would be nice if there was some sort of on screen text that showed what the various buttons did. A tutorial or walk-through would definitely be helpful. Maybe do a quick video to describe the interface?

### 1/5 — Fails to do the 1 thing it’s meant for

*2022-03-22*

It actually doesn’t highlight anything after the first save, and no matter how many times its reloaded, it wouldn’t work.

### 1/5 — Google search engine

*2022-01-10, version 3.6.0*

I have given this app | browser a one star. Conceptually, Command has potential. Being relegated to the Google ecosystem is not an option! A user should be able to use other browsers | search engines and keep the same if not improved functionality.

### 1/5 — ipad pro does not respond to apple pencil

*2021-11-03, version 3.5.8*

the display does not work at all with pencil or my finger .. goodness .. i have requested this over and over again .. please get this fixed .. now .. please ..

### 1/5 — Please contact me

*2021-10-07, version 3.5.4*

This app I keep getting shut out on and the error message how do you contact support about this app????

### 1/5 — Missing Basic Functions

*2021-09-11, version 3.5.2*

Premium users are unable to complete or even just do in general, basic functionality tasks such as: Sort Journals. I’ve notified the Developers through iMessage and they just didn’t seem to care, by not even responding. Well then, here’s your 1 Star out of 5 (1/5).

### 1/5 — Buggy mess

*2021-06-30, version 3.4.5*

The app freezes in journal creation and other places, requiring a full restart of the app. Test your app before asking for money from users! Especially this much.

Ridiculous.

### 2/5 — Broken on tahoe

*2026-01-13, version 3.9.8*

Since the latest update Command crashes upon opening in tahoe. BEFORE the update, it was working fine. Is there any way to revert the previous version?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — 💔SADLY_UPDATED: Command Browser Used Me And Broke My Heart.

*2025-06-16*

Oh how I Loved this app. The developer was quite prudent in maintaining this app, regularly updating the app-WITH THE HELP OF US- YES, DEDICATED USERS❣️Many of us contributed; filing bug reports, sending feedback, et. al. It was quite a crowd- The developer even highlighted which user was the TOP contributer per week! Yes, lowly us of User land. AND- we also payed for the app the old fashioned way, for Seven Bucks!

But the word User became a painfully ironic word; as over time the ratio of user contributions eclipsed the rate timing of the developer's actual work. App Updates became more spaced out. And presumably so, the Developer himself- as he ghosted me and we haven't heard from him since iOS 17.

In conclusion before I start crying, I've included snippet of my past feedback from our honeymoon days:

"...To note, The developer has what it takes and makes to be a role model for the rest in the apple community. Kudos. Proudly paid for this app!
UPDATE: Still using command and have watched it grow! The dev is ON TOP of their work, receptive to feedback and easy to contact.."

Developer, you have my number 😭

### 5/5 — Command Browser was the perfect browser

*2025-03-25*

Unfortunately, the devs seem to have abandoned it and don't seem interested in open sourcing it so what was once the best browser on iPhone is slowly fading away and becoming broken.

### 5/5 — Great browser for research

*2025-01-01, version 3.9.6*

This browser needs a lot more attention — very helpful to make highlights as you read on the web

### 5/5 — Amazing for Notion users!

*2024-11-24, version 3.9.6*

Command Browser has many great features, but the ability to make Notion display the full-featured desktop version is a game-changer. It works SO perfectly that it makes you wonder why on earth Notion force such a severely hobbled mobile version on all iPad users!

### 5/5 — Mac OS not usable

*2024-09-21, version 3.9.6*

Unfortunately I can’t use it for my mac book pro m1. There is no opportunity to highlight the text. Please correct it.

### 5/5 — UPDATED: The Browser For The Rest Of Us

*2024-02-29*

The rest of us are: Not casually browsing teh internets or using a browser for mindless empty carbs for your brain. The rest of us utilize the web for more complicated and important needs. We needed a browser that could handle strictly dedicated tab groups. Notes and highlights of website contents. The ability to save and export. Personally, no other browser could handle my web needs. I dive deep into research on multiple subjects. To note, The developer has what it takes and makes to be a role model for the rest in the apple community. Kudos. Proudly paid for this app!

UPDATE: Still using command and have watched it grow! The dev is ON TOP of their work, receptive to feedback and easy to contact.

### 5/5 — Tap to highlight pdf

*2024-02-04, version 3.9.6*

Highlighting in pdf is not working,we can highlight a web page but not a pdf in the browser !hope this will be solved soon

### 5/5 — This app is sooo underrated!

*2023-06-10, version 3.9.5*

I’m not sure why this app is so unknown but it has everything it needs and works like a charm!
